Harn married Allan C. Cook on 6 September 1890 at Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota; Allan and Lulu were married by a "Minister of the Gospel". Marriage Record signed as "Allan C. Cook". Lulu M. Harn and Allan C. Cook were divorced between 1905 and 1910. Lulu M. Harn married Marshall Timothy Perkins, son of Hartson Ellsworth Perkins and Violet P. Ellsworth, circa 27 August 1908 at Ellsworth, Pierce Co., Wisconsin. Lulu M. Harn died on 13 May 1935 at Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota, at age 62.2 The cause of death was Pulmonary Embolism or Coronary Thrombosis. Married, Saturday evening, at the residence of the bride's mother, in this city, Rev. J.W. Hancock officiating, Miss Lulu M. Harn and Allen C. Cook, both of this city. There was music at the informal reception which followed the ceremony.

Following from the Red Wing Daily Republican Newspaper, 5:4, 14May1935, and 15May1935 (Wednesday) 5:4.
Mrs. Lulu M. Perkins, wife of Marshall T. Perkins, 627 Sixth street, died suddenly Monday night following an acute heart attack. She was stricken shortly after 8 o'clock in front of the home of Louis W. Nordly, 411 Franklin street, while out for a walk. She managed to reach the door of the Nordly residence and was helped inside by Mrs. Nordly, who summoned a doctor. Death occurred ten minutes later. Mrs. Perkins had been ailing in health for the past year, but had been able to be up and around.
She was born in Red Wing on May 8, 1872, and was united in marriage to M.T. Perkins at Ellsworth, Wis., on August 12, 1908. Her sudden death will bring sorrow to a host of friends. The only surviving relative is her husband. The funeral will be held at the Ferrin Mortuary tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. E.F. Hall, minister of the First Methodist church officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood cemetery. The pall bearers were Andy Lundquist, Charles Sundberg, Benj. J. Hawkins, C.R. Berlin, H.W. Swanson and Oscar Dahl.

     Luther Edward Harn was born on 7 December 1843 at Maryland.1,2,3 He was the son of Singleton Wesley Harn and Maria Cordelia Harn. Luther Edward Harn married Josephine Celess Long, daughter of John Long and Cordelia Spurrier.


Following from the book HISTORY OF FREDERICK COUNTY, MARYLAND, by T.J.C. Williams, reprint of the 1910 edition, Published in 1967 by Regional Publishing Company, page 1558.
Luther E. Harn, during the Civil War, enlisted in Company B, Seventh Maryland Volunteer Infantry, and was his company in the battles of the Wilderness, was wounded seven times, twice seriously and was sent to the hospital in Washington, D.C. After a short furlough, he joined his regiment at Petersburg, Va., and served until the close of the war. Luther was married to Josephine Long. They had two children: (1), Edward Elmer, attended the public schools and the academy at Unionville, read law in the office of Judge Motter, and graduated from the law school of the University of Maryland. Elmer served for one term in the Maryland Legislature. When the Spanish American War broke out, he served as secretary to General Fitzhugh Lee, in charge of the commissary department. After returning to his home in Unionville, Elmer was taken sick and died at the early age of twenty-eight. (2), Cordelia (Mrs. Harry Garver), resides in California.

The 1890 Maryland Census of Veterans, Frederick County, E.D. 105, lists Luther E. Harn as a Private in Company B, 7th Maryland Infantry. Having enlisted on 18Aug1862, and discharged on 09May1865. Stated he was "Wounded in head by bullet", at Wilderness in May 1864. The Post Office address for Luther, listed as Unionville, Frederick Co., MD.

Luther E. Harn, rank of Corporal in the Maryland Seventh Regiment Infantry - Company B, enlisted on Aug 16, 1862 and discharged on May 31, 1865. Luther Edward Harn died on 28 July 1909 at age 65.1,3 Ellen Dorcas Harn Manuscript. He was buried at Linganore Cemetery, Unionville, Frederick Co., Maryland.3

A native Austinite, Mabelle was born October 17, 1902, to Camp Collins and Margaret Lavania Morris Harn. She was the youngest of four children, all predeceased her. She descended from Travis County pioneer settlers, Jesse Burditt and A. R. Morris and the Camp and Harn families.

Mabelle, who grew up on East Second Street where the Convention Center now stands, attended Palm School and the old Austin High, graduating salutatorian in the class of 1919. She attended UT and the Chicago Music Conservatory. She was a secretary in the State Banking Department.

Mabelle married John Embry Hunt on Christmas Eve, 1935. Two children were born to this happy union, John Embry Hunt Jr. of Arnold, Maryland, and Glenda Margaret Hunt Black of Austin, who survive her.

She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Barbara Gohn Hunt of Arnold, Maryland, and son-in-law, Joseph Bernard Black of Austin; grandchildren, Christopher Joseph Black and Rebecca Margaret Black of Austin; three nieces, Kathleen Hunt Grobe of Austin, Coleen Harn Deal of Lakeland, Florida, and Margaret Irene Harn Walton of Pompano Beach, Florida; a nephew, Glenn Hunt Jr., of Dallas; a cousin, Myrtle Hornsby Callan of Austin; and devoted neighbor, Judy Wade of Austin.

Her beloved husband, Embry Hunt, professional soils engineer, died in 1971.

As a girl, Mabelle played the theater organ at the Majestic Theater. She was organist at Ward Memorial and Shettles Memorial (now Hyde Park United) Methodist Church. She accompanied dancers at Annette Duval School of Dance and voice lessons at UT. She played weddings, funerals, and taught numerous Austin children and adults piano and organ.

She was a life member of the WSCS and a charter member of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers Auxiliary.

Services will be held at the Hyde Park United Methodist Church at 40th and Speedway at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 12, 1995, with Reverend David Gilliam presiding. Interment will be in the Memorial Hill Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be William Clay Grobe, Howard Hansen, A. Leslie Will-son, Glenn Hunt Jr., David Livingston Hobbs, and David Wade. Memorials may be made to Hyde Park United Methodist Church. Arrangements by Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar, 452-8811.

     Margaretta Helen Harn was born on 7 October 1871 at Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota. Margaretta Helen Harn was a School-teacher. She was the daughter of Calvin Davis Harn and Rachel Rupel.

Margaretta Helen Harn of Faribault, Minnesota was in the Teachers Section for the Freshman Class at the University of Minnesota 1896-1897.
(The University of Minnesota Catalog for the year 1895-96 and Announcements for the year 1896-1897.) Margaretta Helen Harn married George Washington Van Sickle on 6 February 1909 at Boulder, Larimer Co., Colorado.1 Margaretta Helen Harn also went by the name of Maggie. Marriage record was filed on 11Feb1909. She died on 27 January 1910 at Wellington, Larimer Co., Colorado, at age 38. She was buried on 28 January 1910 at Blk 6, Sec 8, Site 8, Highland Cemetery, Wellington, Larimer Co., Colorado.2 The cause of death was died 3-days after giving birth to her son.
In a letter dated 20Feb1910, possibly from Ann Sells, it states that Maggie was married 04Feb1909. Also that she had been in a runaway the previous summer, and was possibly hurt internally.


Was unable to locate George and Maggie in the 1920 Soundex.

Marjorie Lucille Shivers, 94, departed this life January 31, 2013. She was born Marjorie Lucille Harn on February 1, 1918 in Monroe City, MO, Ralls County, MO. She was married to Leonard D. Shivers at the First United Methodist Church in South Tampa, FL on August 31, 1941 and was widowed in 1984. Mrs. Shivers is survived by her sister Rosemary Dean of Monroe City, MO and numerous nieces and nephews in that area. She is the mother of 4 children, Marjorie Kuczware of Temple Terrace, FL, Carol Klein of Pine, MO, Leonard Shivers, Jr. of Plant City, FL, and John Shivers, formerly of Plant City, FL., deceased. "Grandmama" is the much loved grandmother of 9, great grandmother of 13 and great great grandmother of one. After attending secretarial college she worked under Civil Service during WWII in Washington, DC where she met her future husband. In 1947 they moved to the family farm on Shiloh Rd., now Terrace Dr., in Plant City, where they had a citrus and poultry operation. They traveled extensively during their lives and visited all 50 states, Canada, and Mexico. When they retired they moved first to Dunedin, FL then later to Lakeland, FL. At the time of her passing she resided at The Heath Center of Plant City on Wilder Rd where she received loving care from their excellent staff. She attended the First United Methodist Church in Plant City for 65 years and was a member of Mary Martha/Crossroads Sunday School Class during that time. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 4, 2013 between 6-8pm at Wells Memorial and Event Center, 1903 W. Reynolds St., Plant City, FL. Funeral Services will be held at Wells Memorial and Event Center Chapel Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 11:00am with Reverend Earl Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Plant City, FL. www.wellsmemorial.com
