Maxwell married Bertie Leona Wilkinson on 4 October 1893 at Shelby Co., Ohio. Benjamin W. Maxwell died on 30 March 1938 at San Bernardino Co., California, at age 65.² He was buried at Rialto Park Cemetery, Rialto, San Bernardino Co., California.²

     Ella Jane Maxwell was born on 19 July 1864 at Upper Sandusky, Wyandot Co., Ohio.¹ She married Rome Charles Stephenson on 16 October 1880. Ella Jane Maxwell died on 7 April 1930 at South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana, at age 65.¹ She was buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Upper Sandusky, Wyandot Co., Ohio.¹

He died on 20 March 1920 at California at age 17.¹ He was buried at Rialto Park Cemetery, Rialto, San Bernardino Co., California.¹

     Samuel Paul Maxwell was born on 5 December 1894 at Sidney, Shelby Co., Ohio.^1,2 He was the son of Benjamin W. Maxwell and Bertie Leona Wilkinson. Samuel Paul Maxwell married Ada Pearl Ferguson on 21 June 1918 at California. Samuel Paul Maxwell died on 6 February 1921 at San Bernardino Co., California, at age 26.²

Funeral Services Will Be Held From Methodist Church Tuesday

RIALTO, Feb. 6. Paul Maxwell, well-known young man in Rialto and a leader in the church and social life of the community, died just as the morning lights were breaking today. The end was not unexpected, but marked, by an evidence of his constant, faith, for calling his wife to his bedside, he exclaimed: "O, dearie, it is heaven and the angels are all about." and that with his final breath. The end came at the home or his father-in-law, Frank Ferguson.
Funeral service will be from the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Maynard W. Beckwith officiating. Juhlin & Stephens are in charge.
Paul Maxwell was born in Sidney, O., Dec. 5, 1894, and was thus 26 years of age. He came to California in 1904 and to Rialto in 1914. Before that time he had joined the Methodist church and transferred his membership here upon making this his home. He married Miss Pearl Ferguson June 21, 1918, and six days later went into limited army service, his health having made it impossible for him to enlist when he had volunteered earlier. He returned from the army in February, 1919, and has since that time made his home here. Besides his widow, he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Maxwell, of Rialto, and a sister, Mrs. Ralph Fletcher, and his grandfather, Samuel Maxwell, the latter two living in Long Beach.
Social Postponed Because of the death of Paul Maxwell, the Epworth League Valentine social, which was to have been held Monday evening, is indefinitely postponed.

LAST RITES RIALTO, Feb. 8. Last service for Paul Maxwell was held this afternoon from the First Methodist Church, the friends who gathered to pay the last tribute of love and respect filling the large auditorium. Rev. Maynard W. Beckwith spoke very tenderly of the high Christian character of Paul Maxwell, saying that he loved not money nor the things of the world but his Saviour best. That here he had residence, as do we all, but "over there" it is home and because of his loving faithfulness Paul was given a glimpse of heaven while just on the border land. A very beautiful and touching poem composed by Paul's mother was read, bringing tears to all eyes. Quartet composed of Mrs. Wesley Frisbie, C. E. Tibbot, Mrs. Pearl Tolle and Clarence Tibbot sang very softly and with tender expression "He Knows," "There's a Light In the Valley," and in closing, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." The flowers were of exceptional beauty and so many that it would seem that it would seem as if every one tried thus to express their love for Paul and sympathy for the bereaved ones. From the Epworth League came a Maltese cross of pure white blossoms; from the young people's class of the Methodist Sunday school a beautiful pillow; other lovely floral pieces being from the Citizens' National Bank, the Rialto Woman's Club, the Methodist Sunday school, the American Legion, the Berean class, beside many individual tributes. Those who acted as pallbearers were Warren Frisbie, Wesley Frisbie, Ben Coleman, Edward Burrington, Will Trapp and Albert Bemis, all being members of the American Legion. Interment was made in the Rialto cemetery besides Paul's younger brother, Robert, who passed away about one year ago. Juhlin & Stephens were in charge.

     Pearl Elizabeth McBarnes was born on 20 January 1888.¹ She was the daughter of William H. McBarnes and Louisa Rachel Harmon.¹ Pearl Elizabeth McBarnes died on 23 June 1972 at age 84.¹

     William H. McBarnes was born on 10 November 1855 at Harrison Co., Ohio.¹ He was the son of Andrew McBarnes and Easter Scott.² William H. McBarnes married Louisa Rachel Harmon on 18 January 1883 at Tuscarawas Co., Ohio.¹ William H. McBarnes died on 5 August 1912 at Akron, Summit Co., Ohio, at age 56.¹ He was buried in August 1912 at Mount Hope Cemetery, Akron, Summit Co., Ohio.¹

     Albert McBride married Susan Harn, daughter of Raymond Eugene Harn and Lois Branson.¹

Martha Jane McCann died on 2 July 1937 at McClellandtown, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania, at age 84.^1,2 She was buried at McClellandtown Presbyterian Cemetery, Church Hill, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.²

     Albert Dennis McCarthy was born on 6 August 1904 at Pine City, Pine Co., Minnesota.^4,5 He was the son of Florence James McCarthy and Florida Louise LaPierre. Albert Dennis McCarthy was a Leather Garment Worker. He married Dollie Helen Schmaedick, daughter of Albert Henry Schmaedick and Ida Theresa Mellbloom, on 20 October 1934 at Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois.⁶ Albert Dennis McCarthy died on 4 September 1990 at Granada Hills, Los Angeles Co., California, at age 86.⁴ The cause of death was Liver Cancer. He was buried on 8 September 1990 at Eternal Valley Memorial Park, Newhall, Los Angeles Co., California.^4,7

Visitation will be held today from 5 to 9 p.m., at Eternal Valley Mortuary for Albert D. McCarthy who died Tuesday in Newhall. He was 86.
Mr. McCarthy was born August 6, 1904, in Pine City, Minn. A resident of Newhall, he was a member of the garment union for 50 years. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of the Oaks at Eternal Valley Memorial Park.
Mr. McCarthy is survived by his wife, Dollie of Newhall; son, Dennis of Stockton; four daughters, Alice Morgan of Hacienda Heights, Bonita Austin of Minnesota, Suzanne Thoma of Shingle Springs, and Patricia Smith of Tujunga; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Clara Kassinger and Esther Barry.

Albert lived in Faribault, MN in 1920, according to his father's obituary.

     Alice Marie McCarthy is the daughter of Albert Dennis McCarthy and Dollie Helen Schmaedick. Alice Marie McCarthy married Russell Ivan Morgan Jr., son of Russell Ivan Morgan Sr. and Margaret Irene (?), on 20 November 1955.⁴

     Beatrice Anna McCarthy is the daughter of John Peter McCarthy and Helena Minnie Mathilda Velzke. Beatrice Anna McCarthy married Alan Conrad Kirchner on 23 April 1949 at St. Martin's Lutheran Church, Winona, Winona Co., Minnesota.

     Bonita Ann McCarthy is the daughter of Albert Dennis McCarthy and Dollie Helen Schmaedick. Bonita Ann McCarthy married Ronald Joseph Austin on 23 December 1961 at Monterey Co., California.³
