She began this 96 year life on a farm surrounded by the large families of her father Timothy Perkins and her mother Lucy Featherstone. Enabled by a princely scholarship of $25, she was able to attend Hamline University in St. Paul where she met Clarence Page. They married in 1938 and moved with Firestone to several states before ending in Ohio in 1952.

She made many loving, life-long friends as a Girl Scout leader, an active quilter at the First United Methodist Church, and a member of PEO. The following obituary is from the Red Wing Daily Republican Newspaper, 22Jul1897, page 1, column 2.
Hartson E. Perkins receives injuries which prove fatal. Hartson E. Perkins, for years a prominent resident of Red Wing, and one of the pioneers of Goodhue county, met with an accident yesterday afternoon wherein he received injuries which resulted in his death this morning.
About 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon he, in company with his son, Frank, were hauling a load of corn with a four horse team. One of the horses was a young colt. When on Sand hill the colt became slightly unmanageable on account of not being able to hold the load back, so Mr. Perkins took ahold of him with the intention of helping him on. In some way he slipped and fell, the heavy load, weighing 5,300 pounds, passing over his right arm and part of his chest. He was removed to his home and medical aid summoned. He was unconscious and so weak that his internal injuries could not be ascertained, and at 10 o'clock this morning he expired.
Hartson E. Perkins was born in Franklin county, Maine, on April 12, 1835, and was consequently in his sixty-second year. He came west when twenty years of age and settled in Goodhue county in 1861. He took a claim of 160 acres in Featherstone where he and his brother Charles lived for two years, engaged at intervals working in the pineries in Wisconsin. The second winter he spent in banking wood on the river below Red Wing, an enterprise in which he lost every dollar he had, but not daunted he vigorously prosecuted his farm work and in a comparatively few years was the owner of one of the largest and best farms in Featherstone.
About twenty years ago (1877) he became interested in Red Wing business enterprises and a few years afterwards he removed to this city in order to be in position to more carefully look after his business interests.
Ten years ago he purchased the Gov. Hubbard residence on West Fourth street which has since been his home. For many years he had been a prominent member of the M. E. church.
Mr. Perkins married in 1859, Vilette P. Ellsworth. She with six children survive him, the children being: Marshall T. Perkins and Alfred H., who reside in Featherstone; Dr. Barton G., whose home is in Texas; and Frank E., Elmer A., and Miss Mabel who reside here in Red Wing.

Following from the Red Wing Daily Republican Newspaper, 5:3, 26Jul1897.

Hart T. Perkins Dies In Berkeley
PORTERVILLE, July 14.
Hart T. Perkins, age 63, died yesterday at the home of a brother, Glenn Perkins, in Berkeley. In failing health for some time, Perkins was taken to San Francisco about three months ago, where he was a patient at two different hospitals. For a time it was thought that he was improving In health. Later, he was taken to the home of his brother in Berkeley. The deceased is survived by his widow, Iva Perkins: two brothers. James Perkins of Porterville and Glenn Perkins of Berkeley, all of whom were with him at the time of death. A sister, Miss Thersa Perkins, of Chicago, Ill., also survives. He was a native of Illinois. Perkins will be strongly missed here as he was one of Porterville's most public-spirited citizens. He was a member of the board of trustees of the Porterville Union high school. Perkins has engaged in orange culture in the Vandalia district, where the groves owned by the Perkins brothers, Hart T. and James, are considered among the finest in that section.

Isaac Perkins was born in 1770 at Ipswich, Essex Co., Massachusetts.1 He was the son of James Perkins and Hannah Kinsman.1 Isaac Perkins was christened on 23 September 1770 at Ipswich, Essex Co., Massachusetts.1
Isaac Perkins moved to Farmington, Maine in 1794 (US census, 1800, Farmington, Franklin Co., Maine) from MA.
Isaac appears to have been a nurseryman and orchardist. "John Tufts settled on the old Backus Farm a short time previous, and Isaac Perkins and Otis Foster on the farm now owned by Uzziel Weeks and others. Mr. Perkins soon removed to the river at the upper part of the town. It is to him and Rufus Allen that we are mostly indebted for our first and early start in orcharding. They furnished most of the trees in town from nurseries of their own planting. " (From HISTORY OF FARMINGTON 1846 By the late Thomas Parker, Judge of Probate Published by J S Swift 1875) The Allens mentioned here are likely family members; Father-in-law Timothy Foster's wife is Abigail Allen. Also, Otis Foster is likely part of his in-law's family.1 He married Elizabeth Foster, daughter of Timothy Foster Jr. and Abigail Allen (?), in 1796 at Farmington, Franklin Co., Maine.1 His Ancestral File Number is Ancestral File Number submitted by Jeanne Fox Wilson. Isaac Perkins married Rebeccah Johnson in 1814 at Farmington, Franklin Co., Maine.1 Isaac Perkins died in 1822 at Farmington, Franklin Co., Maine.1 He died in 1845.2
