McCarty and Jane Harn McCarty, she is survived by husband, Ron, of the home; sons, Jay and J.R. of the home; stepdaughters, Kathy, Karen and Kim; sister, Elizabeth Bradford; niece, Jennifer; brother-in-law, Ralph Lakin; and aunts, June Tracey, Eva Jo Reed; and granddaughters, Heather and Jennifer. Lu graduated from Northeast High School and later from Central State University with summa cum laude honors. She realized her ambition to become a teacher and pursued that as a teacher at Highland Park Elementary.
