     Edward Peter Sklenar was born on 19 October 1898 at Montgomery, Le Sueur Co., Minnesota.1 He was the son of Thomas Sklenar and Ann Nestaval. Edward Peter Sklenar married Ethel Gladys Vent, daughter of Edward Vent and Kate Bell?, on 27 March 1926 at St. Paul, Ramsey Co., Minnesota.2 Edward Peter Sklenar died on 13 August 1953 at St. Paul, Ramsey Co., Minnesota, at age 54.3 He was buried on 16 August 1953 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Hennepin Co., Minnesota.4,5
     Edward worked for the Federal Government.3 In 1920 Census, Edward was a boarder at John J. Nestaval's, and as a salesman. The cause of death was heart disease.3 Edward Peter Sklenar was a Catholic.

     Frank Sklenar was born on 18 May 1828 at Bohemia. He married Katherine Hovet, daughter of Mike Chovitek and female (?). Frank Sklenar died on 24 May 1904 at Montgomery Twsp., Le Sueur Co., Minnesota, at age 76; OBITUARY: Montgomery Messenger Newspaper, 27May1904. He was buried at Cemetery SW of Montgomery, Le Sueur Co., Minnesota.
     Frank Sklenar was a stone mason. He immigrated on 28 April 1877 to New York, New York;

The New York City Immigration Passenger Lists, show that on 28 Apr 1877, the vessel Mosel on it's voyage from Bremen, Germany, with the following Sklenar family from Bohemia as passengers: Franz 49 years, Catharine 43 years, Tomas 17 years, Franz 14 years, Johann 9 years and Catharine 3 years. Franz was listed as a workman. Franz Sklenar was listed as passenger number 262 in the passenger list. The Mosel had 436 persons on board.

The Mosel was 3,125 gross tons, length 349 ft x beam 40.3 ft, one funnel, two masts (rigged for sail), iron hull, single screw, speed 12 knots, accommodation for 90-1st class passengers, 126-2nd class passengers and 680-3rd class passengers. Built by Caird & Co, Greenock, she was launched on 20th Aug.1872 for North German Lloyd, Bremen. Her maiden voyage started on 4th Jan.1873 when she left Bremen for Southampton and New York and on 11th Dec.1875 she was badly damaged in a bomb explosion in Bremen with the loss of 128 lives.

Following from The Montgomery Messenger (MN newspaper) 27 May 1904:
Frank Sklenar, aged 77 years, one of the pioneer settlers of Montgomery township died at the home of his son, John T., near this city on May 24, 1904. He came to this country from Bohemia about 27 years ago and settled on a farm. Some years ago he retired and with his wife went to live in Tacoma, Washington, from which place he returned but a short time before his death. Is survived by his wife, 3 sons and 2 daughters, all whom but 2 sons reside in Washington. Internment was in cemetery S.W. of this city.

Frank James Sklenar Jr. married Mary Matilda Kocourek circa 1894; CENSUS: 1900 WA, Lewis Co., Peel Pct., E.D. 126, sheet 4. Frank James Sklenar Jr. died on 8 November 1935 at Tacoma, Pierce Co., Washington, at age 73.1 He was buried on 12 November 1935 at Calvary Cemetery, Tacoma, Pierce Co., Washington.1
     The cause of death was a fractured skull in auto accident. Frank was born in 1865 or 16 Aug 1862. Franz arrived in US from Bohemia on 28Apr1877, age of 14 years.

Funeral services for Frank J. Sklenar will be held Tuesday at St. Leo's church. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery under the direction of the Buckley-King company.

Rose Sklenar died on 3 September 1927 at Glen Lake Sanatorium, Minnetonka Twsp., Hennepin Co., Minnesota, at age 25.1 She was buried on 7 September 1927 at Calvary Cemetery, St. Paul, Ramsey Co., Minnesota; Plot: Section 55.1
     Death certificate lists Rose's birth date as 30 Sep 1901.
The cause of death on her death certificate was as follows: Tuberculosis, pulmonary, chronic, duration about two years. Laryngeal tuberculosis duration unknown. Tuberculous enteritis duration about 6 months. Rose Sklenar was a housemaid.1 Resident of Glen Lakes Sanatorium in Minneapolis, MN. The cause of death was Tuberculosis. Rose was enumerated with Jacob Nestaval in the 1920 Census. Rose Sklenar was a Catholic.

     Thomas Sklenar was born in January 1861 at Bohemia.1 He was the son of Frank Sklenar and Katherine Hovet. Thomas Sklenar married Ann Nestaval, daughter of Jacob Nestaval and Barbara Kardon, on 12 February 1894 at Montgomery, Le Sueur Co., Minnesota. Thomas Sklenar died before 1910 at Washington.2
     Tomas arrived in the US from Bohemia on 28 Apr 1877, at the age of 17. Thomas Sklenar was a worked in brewery prior to marriage, than farmer. The 1900 Census lists Thomas immigrating on 21Nov1879. After wife died, left children, and moved to Washington.
