     Maggie Shimp was born circa 1846 at Plainfield, Indiana.² She was the daughter of Jacob Shimp and Hannah Graham.¹ Maggie Shimp married Cyrus B. Miller.¹ Maggie Shimp died on 11 February 1915 at South Bend, Saint Joseph Co., Indiana.²
     Her married name was Miller.¹ She lived in 1907 at Saint Joseph Co., Indiana.¹

Mrs. Maggie Shimp Miller, aged 69 years, wife of Cyrus B. Miller, retired, of 431 South Franklin street, died this morning at 3 o'clock following a sudden illness. Mrs. Miller had apparently been in her usual health until Wednesday morning when she suffered a stroke of paralysis, and her sudden death comes as a great shock to her many friends.
Mrs. Miller was the daughter of the late Jacob and Hannah Shimp, pioneers of Terre Coupee, Ind. She was born on the home farm at Plainfield. Besides her husband she is survived by a son Ralph S. Hollowell, a younger son having died at the age of four years. She leaves two grandchildren, Knowles B. and Dorothy M; also two brothers, John M. and William D. Shimp, of South Bend, and two sisters, Mrs. Phoebe A. Kirby, of Warren county, Ohio, and Mrs. Joseph Burden, of New Carlisle, Ind.
The deceased was a life long member of the Christian church, and Rev. John M. Alexander, of the First Christian church, will conduct the services, assisted by Rev. John H. Evans, of the First Church of the Evangelical association. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.²

Funeral Notes.          
Funeral services for Mrs. C.B. Miller will be held from the residence at 431 South Franklin street at 2 o-clock to-morrow afternoon. Friends may view the body from 10 o'clock tomorrow morning until the time of the funeral. The pallbearers will be Henry Mast, Claude Matthews, William Bressler, Vitus Jones, I.H. Unruh and Daniel White. Rev. John M. Alexander, of the First Christian church, assisted by Rev. John H. Evans, of the First Church of the Evangelical association, and will officiate. Burial will be in city cemetery.³

     Her married name was Monhant.¹ Mary A. Shimp lived in February 1958 at South Bend, Saint Joseph Co., Indiana.¹

     Phoebe A. Shimp was the daughter of Jacob Shimp and Hannah Graham.¹ Phoebe A. Shimp married Lewis Kirby.¹
     Her married name was Kirby.¹ Phoebe A. Shimp lived in 1907 at Warren Co., Ohio.¹ She lived in February 1915 at Warren Co., Ohio.² She lived on 24 March 1923 at Lebanon, Ohio.³

     William D. Shimp was the son of Jacob Shimp and Hannah Graham.¹
     William D. Shimp lived in 1907 at Saint Joseph Co., Indiana.¹ He lived in February 1915 at South Bend, Saint Joseph Co., Indiana.²

     Denton Robert Shipley was born circa 1822 at Sykesville, Carroll Co., Maryland.¹ He married Ellen G. Sellman.

     Marie G. Shipley was born on 21 December 1893 at Frederick Co., Maryland.¹ She was the daughter of Wallace D. Shipley and Annie L. Harn.

     Susan Shipley was born circa 1845 at Maryland; according to 1880 MD Census. She married Wesley Jaleel Harn, son of Singleton Wesley Harn and Maria Cordelia Harn.
     Susan and Wesley had one child that died in infancy. Her married name was Harn. Susan Shipley appeared on the census of 18 June 1880 at 9th District, Carroll Co., Maryland; listed as 35 years old in Maryland.

     Wallace D. Shipley was born on 3 August 1853 at Linganore District, Frederick Co., Maryland.² He was the son of Denton Robert Shipley and Ellen G. Sellman. Wallace D. Shipley married Annie L. Harn, daughter of Abner Harn and Sarah Margaret Eury, in March 1893.

Wallace D.W. Shipley, of Linganore District, Frederick County, Md., a descendant of one of the old families of Frederick County, son of Denton R. and Ellen G. (Sellman) Shipley, was born on the farm which he now owns in Linganore District, August 3, 1853.
The Shipley family is of English descent. Three brothers of that name, emigrants, from England, landed at Elk Ridge, Md., where they erected a monument to commemorate the event. Wallace D. Shipley's great grandfather settled near Sykesville, Md., where he owned large tracts of land.
Denton Shipley, grandfather of Wallace D. Shipley, was born on his father's farm near Sykesville, Md. He was a first lieutenant in the War of 1812, and on one occasion, while bearing dispatches to General Ringgold, was surrounded by dragoons. His capture seemed certain, but his gallant horse cleared a wide ditch, and carried his master beyond pursuit. Denton Shipley owned 450 acres of land near Westminster, Md., where he lived and died, spending his life in clearing and improving his land. Denton Shipley was married to Hannah Hipsley. Their children are: 1, Elias, 2, Silas; 3, Susan (Mrs. Kernan Sprinkle) removed to Omaha, Neb; 4, Denton R.
Mr. Shipley's father, Denton Robert Shipley, was born in 1822, on the Shipley homestead near Sykesville, Carroll County, Md. Denton R. Shipley was married to Ellen G., daughter of Ellen G., daughter of Joshua and Miranda Sellman, of Carroll County, Md. Their children are: 1, Oscar, of Frederick County, Md; 2, Elinore, widow of Theodore Evans, of Baltimore, Md; 3, Wallace D.W.
Wallace D.W. Shipley began his education, at the age of six, in the Paradise public schools, and completed his studies in a private school under William R. Curry. He began work on his father's farm and has devoted all his energies to the cultivation of the soil. He is an intelligent, progressive farmer, and has met with well-deserved success. In 1896, Mr. Shipley purchased his present home, a fertile farm of 200 acres, which rewards his care by heavy crops of good quality. He has erected most of the buildings on the place; the house, however, was built in 1813. Mr. Shipley is a staunch Democrat, interested in all that concerns the well-being of the community, and is highly esteemed in the county.
Wallace D.W. Shipley, was married, in March, 1893, to Annie L., daughter of Abner and Margaret (Eury) Harn, of Linganore District, Frederick County. They have one child, Marie G., born December 21, 1893. Mr. Shipley attends the Methodist Episcopal Church in Linganore.
Mrs. Shipley was born near Unionville, Linganore District, Frederick County, January 28, 1865, and received her education in the old Friendship school. The children of Abner and Margaret (Eury) Harn are: 1, Samuel, of Unionville, Md., married Nannie Nicodemus; 2, Alice (Mrs. Jason Hood), of Carroll County, Md; 3, Laura (Mrs. Clegget Dorsey), of Frederick County; 4, Kenley, a clerk in a bank, married Grace Burton, removed to Indiana; 5, Annie L., (Mrs. Wallace D.W. Shipley.

     (?) Shivers married Marjorie Lucille Harn, daughter of Ezra Bladgett Harn and Josie Ella Jane Rouse.¹

     Jesse Shock married Alice Ruple, daughter of Allen Ruple and Orline Starner.

     Christina (Nancy) Shumaker was born on 11 September 1807 at New York.^1,2 She married Peter Rupel, son of Jacob Rupel and Ann Livengood, circa 1823.² Christina (Nancy) Shumaker died on 20 November 1858 at Centre Twsp., Saint Joseph Co., Indiana, at age 51.^1,2
     Her married name was Rupel.

     Donna Simmons married James Allen Everest, son of Joseph Ira Everest and Frances Rosetta Purdy, on 10 June 1952 at Reno, Washoe Co., Nevada.¹

     Chase Eric Simonsen is the son of Eric John Simonsen and Dawn Marie Fieser.¹

     Eric John Simonsen is the son of Rev. Jay Eric Simonsen and Joan Helen Kranz. Eric John Simonsen married Dawn Marie Fieser, daughter of Steve Fieser and Christine Buckner, on 4 July 1998 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Houston, Harris Co., Texas.²

     James Arthur Simonsen is the son of Rev. Jay Eric Simonsen and Joan Helen Kranz. James Arthur Simonsen married Holly Beth Bradshaw on 13 October 2007 at Peace Lutheran Church, Texas City, Texas.²

     Rev. Jay Eric Simonsen married Joan Helen Kranz, daughter of Frederick Arthur George Kranz and Helen Veronica McCarthy, on 27 December 1968 at Stuttgart, Arkansas Co., Arkansas.

     Megan Nichole Simonsen is the daughter of Eric John Simonsen and Dawn Marie Fieser.¹

     Sara Simpson married George L. Levingston. Sara Simpson was born circa 1800.¹ She died circa 1884.¹

     Barbara Jean Sklenar is the daughter of Edward Peter Sklenar and Ethel Gladys Vent. Barbara Jean Sklenar married Kenneth Clyde Meyer on 18 December 1959 at St. Paul, Ramsey Co., Minnesota. Barbara Jean Sklenar married Melvin J. Veno on 13 October 1977; SOURCE: Barbara Veno letter 26Aug1992. Barbara Jean Sklenar and Melvin J. Veno were divorced on 4 August 1982 at Crow Wing Co., Minnesota.¹

     Catherine A. Sklenar was born circa November 1874 at Bohemia. She was the daughter of Frank Sklenar and Katherine Hovet. Catherine A. Sklenar married Albert Carl Houser, son of John Houser and Mary Bechley, circa 1894; CENSUS: 1900 WA, Lewis Co., Peel Pct., E.D. 126, sheet 4. Catherine A. Sklenar died on 16 April 1940 at Washington.² She was buried at Calvary Cemetery, Tacoma, Pierce Co., Washington.
     Catharine arrived in US from Bohemia on 28Apr1877, age of 3 years. She appeared on the census of June 1880 at Montgomery, Le Sueur Co., Minnesota; as 4 years old. She appeared on the census of 1885 at Montgomery, Le Sueur Co., Minnesota; pg 410, as 11 years old. Catherine A. Sklenar also went by the name of Kate.¹ Her married name was Houser. In 1900 Census, listed as mother of 3, with 2 of those living. In 1900 Census, listed Kata immigrating to US in 1876. In 1900 Census, 'Kata' listed as born Nov 1874 in Hungary. As of 10 April 1910, Catherine A. Sklenar lived at Tacoma, Pierce Co., Washington; lists Katherine A., as 33 years old, born in Austria (Bohemian) , married 15 years, 4 of her 5 children still alive, immigrated in 1887. According to mother's obituary, 02Apr1916, Kate in Eatonville. She appeared on the census of 1920 at Tacoma, Pierce Co., Washington; E.D. 356, sheet 1.
