...Elisha, William, and Joshua all went to North Carolina. Before going to North Carolina, Elisha and William both enlisted as sailors and when their term of service ended both went into the Continental army during the Revolution and served through the war. Elisha Hearne married Miss Fereby Johnson and removed to Georgia, settling in N.E. Putnam County, where he died. His children were Huldah, who married a Cofield; Polly, who married a Voss; Joshua, Benjamin, Thomas, and son, Francis Sharpe, who was born in Putnam County, Ga. August 18, 1792 and died October 18, 1883. In 1814, he married the widow of Templeton Reid, whose maiden name was Sarah Elizabeth White, a daughter of Jesse White, a wealthy planter of Putnam and Morgan Counties.
