ANNAPOLIS — Frances Josephine Elizabeth Fink Westervelt, of Annapolis, died July 13, 2012. She was 84. Born Feb. 24, 1928, in Odenton, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Josephine Fink. She attended Arundel High School, graduating in 1945 as class valedictorian. Following her education, she began her career with the U.S. Department of Defense. She retired in 1983 as a supervisory computer specialist with the Defense Investigative Services and then began her second career with the Department of Legislative Services of the Maryland General Assembly, eventually retiring in 1999. In 1950, she married Henry E. Westervelt Jr. of Annapolis, becoming members of the Riva and then Cape St. John communities. They also were both very active members in the Annapolis Elks Lodge 622 and enjoyed spending time with the many friends they made there over the years. Mrs. Westervelt was a past president of the Ladies Organization. She is survived by her daughter, Julia L. Cain of Easton; three granddaughters, Lori and Bruce Secrist of Cordova, Kelly and Sean Rizer of Denton, Joanna Cain of Cordova; and three great-granddaughters, Paige Secrist, and Morgan and Reagan Rizer; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry E. Westervelt Jr; and her siblings, Lorraine Farran, Grace Donaldson and Addison Fink. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at Wednesday at John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis. Funeral services will immediately follow. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery, 1911 Forest Drive, Annapolis.

He was preceded in death by parents Paul Joseph Fink and Stella (Skluzacek) Fink.
Paul is survived by his wife Anita (Timm) Fink, beloved daughter Anna Fink; siblings Elizabeth Shoeman, Vivian Molloy, Stephen Fink, Marion Wittenbreer, and several nieces and nephews.
Paul graduated from Northfield Sr. High School class of 1972. He received a Bachelor of Physics from the University of Minnesota in 1986, and earned a Master of Science in Nuclear Physics and Computational Physics from Oregon State University in 1989.
Paul was employed as a software engineer working most recently at Carlson Rezidor Hotel. Other past employers include Capella University, ECMC, Optical Solutions and IBM TJ Watson Research Center.
Paul’s wide range of interests included traveling and long aimless motorcycle rides. He loved cooking and barbequing and was a certified judge for Kansas City Barbeque Society.
A celebration of his life will be Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 2pm at White Funeral Home, 12804 Nicollet Ave. Burnsville, MN. Gathering of family and friends one hour prior to service.
