     Myrtle Barbara Rohn was born on 27 November 1897 at Beardstown, Cass Co., Illinois.² She married Elmer Levi Harn, son of Stephen Adrian Harn and Mary Etta Blodgett, on 29 July 1916 at Frederick, Schuyler Co., Illinois. Myrtle Barbara Rohn died on 18 November 1979 at San Antonio, Bexar Co., Texas, at age 81.² She was buried at Beardstown City Cemetery, Beardstown, Cass Co., Illinois.²

CANTON-Howard Henry “Hank” Rohrer, 94, of Canton, passed away at 1:25 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Clayberg Nursing Home. He was born on May 19, 1925 in Canton to Elden and Alta (Harn) Rohrer. He married Shirley Joan Walraven on July 2, 1948 in Canton. She preceded him in death on March 24, 2016.

Hank was also preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Kenneth Rohrer; and three sisters, Maxine Dorich, Wilda Brown and Melba McGuire.

Surviving is one daughter, Deb (Garry) Hensley of Cuba; one special step-great-granddaughter, Cassie (Josh) Theis of Warrensburg, Missouri; three step-grand-children, Justin (Dara) Hensley of Knoxville, Brian (Audrey) Hensley of Normal and Laura (Jason) Chaplain of Chenoa; 14 step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Hank worked as a truck driver and retired from Buckheart and Banner Mine. He was a member of United Mine Workers. Hank was loved by many for his smile, great personality, love of life and at Clayberg he was called the dancing fool. He loved kids and was a family man. Hank and Shirley met at Silver Leaf Roller Rink and continued to skate for many years. They also loved to take bus trips and traveling. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

May God rest his soul; he was of the Christian faith.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 22, 2019 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, where a visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Pastor Greg Ogle will officiate. Canton: Wanda Maxine Dorich, 93, of Canton passed away at 3:13 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Farmington Country Manor.
She was born January 20, 1923, in Fairview to Elden and Alta (Harn) Rohrer. She married Frank Dorich on March 10, 1944, during his enlistment in the United States Army. He preceded her in death on November 24, 2010.
She is survived by her two sons, Michael Lynn (Gloria) Dorich of Wheaton and Roderick Alan (Kathy) Dorich of Noblesville; one brother, Henry Rohrer of Canton; three grandchildren, Alan Dorich, Ann Daniel, and Kristin Dorich; and two great-grandchildren, Emma and Jameson Daniel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Kenneth Rohrer; and two sisters, Melba McGuire and Wilda Brown.
Wanda was a self-sacrificing homemaker and a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. Graveside funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.³

CANTON - Wilda M. Brown, 91, of Canton, formerly of London Mills, died at 11:28 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

She was born Feb. 6, 1917, in Canton, to Eldon and Alta (Harn) Rohrer. She married H. Gordon Brown on Aug. 18, 1939, in Canton; he died on Oct. 16, 1978.

Surviving are five children, Jerry (Hazel) Brown of London Mills, Karen (Jerry) Fillingham of Canton, Sharon (Jeff) Ownley of Valrico, Fla., Judith (James) McGann of Canton and Nancy (Randall) Rader of Auburn; two brothers, Kenneth (Margaret) Rohrer and Henry (Shirley) Rohrer, both of Canton; a sister, Maxine (Frank) Dorich of Canton; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Melba McGuire, and a grandson, Chad Clary.

Wilda was a member of the Canton Church of the Brethren and a former member of the Rapatee Union Church. She was actively involved with the Fulton County Farm Bureau, and was a 4H leader and Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed gardening, yard work, cooking and doing crafts. Wilda loved her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Canton Church of the Brethren.

Frances Mary Rolfe married David Willets Purdy, son of Samuel Haskell Purdy and Jane H. Willets. Frances Mary Rolfe died on 19 May 1905 at Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota, at age 64.^2,4 The cause of death was abdominal trouble. Mrs. Mary Frances Purdy, wife of David Purdy, died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A.H. Perkins, on West Sixth street. Mrs. Purdy was born in Ithaca, N.Y., Jan. 7, 1841. She moved to Red Wing in 1863, with her husband, and has lived here ever since. She leaves three children, Mrs. A.H. Perkins and S.H. Purdy, living here, and W.H. Purdy, of Sebeka. She died after a lingering illness. Mrs. Purdy was a kindly Christian woman and will be missed by a large circle of friends. The funeral will be held at the move of Mrs. A.H. Perkins at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon and at 2:30 at Christ Church.³

     Jonathan Rolfe was born on 30 August 1714 at Woodbridge, Middlesex Co., New Jersey. He married female (?) Jonathan Rolfe died on 8 July 1791 at Middlesex Co., New Jersey, at age 76.

     Levi Rolfe was born on 1 December 1813 at New York.¹ He was the son of Samuel Rolfe and Hannah Elison. Levi Rolfe married Eliza Williams before 1838 at New York. Levi Rolfe died on 21 October 1858 at age 44.¹ He was buried at Rolfe Cemetery, Enfield, Tompkins Co., New York.¹

     Lucelia Rolfe was born on 9 July 1867 at Tompkins Co., New York.¹ She married Walter S. Brewer, son of Edgar Brewer and Julia Josephine Purdy, on 9 December 1885 at Ithaca, Tompkins Co., New York. Lucelia Rolfe died on 11 March 1923 at Ithaca, Tompkins Co., New York, at age 55.¹

     Mary Frances Rolfe also went by the name of Frankie. She was born on 4 February 1876 at Enfield, Tompkins Co., New York.¹ She was the daughter of Oscar Rolfe and Laurette Ettie Givens. Mary Frances Rolfe married Timothy Burton Tripp, son of Merritt Tripp and Sarah V. Perkins, on 8 October 1895 at Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota.¹ Mary Frances Rolfe died on 22 August 1897 at age 21.¹ She was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota.¹

     Oscar Rolfe was born circa 1843 at New York. He married Laurette Ettie Givens. Oscar Rolfe married Laura Etta Givinger circa June 1874.¹ Oscar Rolfe died on 18 June 1895 at Goodhue Co., Minnesota. He was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota.²

     Ruth Ann Rolfe was born in 1848 at Newfield, Tompkins Co., New York.¹ She was the daughter of Levi Rolfe and Eliza Williams. Ruth Ann Rolfe married Eugene B. Hurlburt. Ruth Ann Rolfe died on 26 April 1907 at Ithaca, Tompkins Co., New York.¹ She was buried at Hayts Cemetery, Ithaca, Tompkins Co., New York.¹

     Samuel Rolfe was born on 18 February 1775 at Middlesex Co., New Jersey. He was the son of Ephraim Rolfe and Sarah Campbell. Samuel Rolfe married Hannah Elison on 14 July 1799 at New Jersey. Samuel Rolfe died on 16 November 1845 at Enfield, Tompkins Co., New York, at age 70.¹ He was buried at Rolfe Cemetery, Enfield, Tompkins Co., New York.¹
