     Stella Barbara Nestaval was born on 15 April 1899 at Montgomery, Le Sueur Co., Minnesota.⁴ She was the daughter of Joseph Nestaval and Anna Factor. Beatrice A. Nestaval of Montgomery, Minnesota and Rose Nestaval of Montgomery, Minnesota and Stella Nestaval of Montgomery, Minnesota were in the 1914-1915 list of students at the University of Minnesota.
(The University of Minnesota Annual Register for the year 1913-1914.) Stella lived near Montgomery in 1916 when sister Anna died. Stella Barbara Nestaval married Samuel Chester Gale, son of Harlow Stearns Gale and Mary Corser, on 3 June 1926.^5,3 Stella Barbara Nestaval lived in January 1929 at Minneapolis, Hennepin Co., Minnesota.⁶ She lived in 1946 at Minneapolis, Hennepin Co., Minnesota. New York Passenger lists from Queen Elizabeth arriving in New York from Cherbough-France, with Samuel C. Gale, his wife Stella and son Samuel.⁷ Stella lived in Minneapolis when sister Elizabeth died in 1960. She married Franklin Thomas Kerr, son of William R. Kerr and Anna McNally, on 4 November 1964 at Minnesota.^8,9 Stella Barbara Nestaval lived in September 1979 at 2950 Dean Parkway, Minneapolis, Hennepin Co., Minnesota.¹⁰ She died on 20 October 1979 at Hennepin Co., Minnesota, at age 80; Certificate Number: 025751.¹¹

Stephen Jacob Nestaval graduated circa 1900 at Montgomery High School, Montgomery, Le Sueur Co., Minnesota. He graduated at University of Minnesota, Minnesota, degree in Civil Engineering.

Stephen J. Nestaval departed St Nazaire, France on 24Jun1919 on the ship USSMercury. He was a Corporal in COMPANY "A", 1ST BATTALION 29TH ENGINEERS, his service number was 180194.

He married Elsie Wojahn, daughter of August Julius Wojahn and Amelia Hiller, circa 1921. Stephen Jacob Nestaval lived in September 1924 at St. Paul, Ramsey Co., Minnesota. Anita Squires Obituary

Anita (Neets) Squires, born August 30th, 1937, passed away September 25th, 2022 at the age of 85. Anita was at home in Oceanside, CA, surrounded by family and filled with the thoughts and prayers of those who loved her. Although she spent the first 50 years of her life in Minnesota, her ""favorite years"" were in Cortez, CO. She retired in 2007, after 17 years with the District Attorney's Office. Her involvement with the Catholic Daughters of St. Margaret Mary's church filled her with purpose and belonging. She truly felt like a member of the community. Anita was known by many simply as ""Gram,"" as she gave off a warmth and acceptance that is unique to a grandmother. She loved many things, her family, her dog Lacey, flowers, holidays and mice (the cute kind, not the ones hiding in the cupboard) to name a few. She enjoyed the last few years in Washington and California, while adventuring with her Granddaughter Jessie and family Mike and Gabriel Guzman.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Squires, and daughters Kristin Squires, Amy Squires and Laurie Boveé. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Squires, grandchildren Jessica Guzman, Paul Squires, Angela Ritter and Jordan Boveé, Nick Squires, and Samantha and Patrick Angell, along with several great grandchildren and her brother Paul Nicely.

A service with be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday the 13th of October, 2022 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church followed by lunch in the reception hall. Rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12th at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.
