Argo was born on 28 April 1933 at Wolf Point, Roosevelt Co., Montana.1,2 He graduated in 1951 at Hot Springs High School, Hot Springs, Sanders Co., Montana.2 He began military service in 1954. He ended military service in 1956. He married Bessie Nona Voorhies, daughter of Charles Allen Voorhies and Ireva Geoa Root, on 18 October 1958.3,2 Arthur G. Argo died on 12 April 2023 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Spokane, Spokane Co., Washington, at age 89.1,2

Arthur G. Argo, 89 of Hot Springs, died April 12, 2023 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane. Arthur was born April 28, 1933 in Wolfpoint, MT. His family later moved to Camas Prairie where he lived for the rest of his life. Arthur graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1951 and served in the US Army from 1954 To 1956. Arthur married Bessie Voorhies on October 18, 1958 and together they raised 4 children. Arthur was well known for Argo Line Post Drivers and steel fabrication. He built many specialized and custom pieces of machinery, including a 55-ton hydraulic press and repaired local farming equipment as needed. Arthur began in ranching, moved on to sales of used heavy equipment and real estate, but always appreciated a well-built saddle horse.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Alice and Cecil Argo, sisters Mary Yeager and Erma Patton, and brother John Argo. He is survived by brother Paul Argo, sister Susan Boston and his children: Julie (Russ) Heaton of Kalispell, Lisa (Michael) Dolson of Hot Springs, Greg (Zoie) Argo of Novi, MI and Cindy (Eric) Todd of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Arthur is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arthur loved a good joke and had a huge laugh. He and his stories will be missed by many!
A memorial service for Arthur is planned for April 29, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Camas Prairie Gymnasium followed by a meal and conversation.
