Charles Egbert Mettler Sr. married Barbara Joyce Olds on 28 May 1950 at First Methodist Church, Canandaigua, Ontario Co., New York.^1,2 Charles Egbert Mettler Sr. lived in April 2003 at Dansville, Livingston Co., New York. He died on 14 October 2022 at Highland Hospital, Rochester, Monroe Co., New York, at age 93.²

Dansville- Charles E. Mettler Sr., age 93, passed away Friday October 14, 2022, at Highland Hospital in Rochester following a brief illness. He was born in Ithaca, NY on January 5, 1929, a son of the late Egbert and Marion Brewer Mettler. On May 28, 1950, he was married to the former Barbara Olds Mettler who survives. Chuck was a US Navy WWII veteran serving on the USS Philippine Sea from 1946 to 1948. During his tour of duty, he became a Shellback (a sailor who "Crosses the Line" of the equator). He was a member of the Daniel Goho Post # 87 of the American Legion, and the Loyal Order of the Moose #1130 both of Dansville. In his free time, he enjoyed time with family, watching baseball and supporting his children and grandchildren at their sporting events and collecting hats. He started his career as a hardware salesman for Rose, Kimball and Baxter in Elmira, before becoming regional sales manager for Cotter and Company. He was part owner of I-Deal Lumber and Hardware Company in Dansville, before finishing his career as a buyer for Smith Lumber and Hardware Company in Lakeville. Surviving in addition to his wife of 72 years Barbara, are, two sons, Charles (Suzanne) Mettler Jr., and Bryan Mettler (Laurie Berthold), a daughter Cynthia (Kevin) Davis; a brother Douglas Mettler, grandchildren Sara (Adam) Frank, Kevin (Elise) Mettler, Cameron (Annabelle) Davis, Curtis (Lexie) Davis and Carter Davis, great-grandchildren Olivia and Caroline Frank and Connor Mettler. Marlene Bartlett Haveman, 88

Marlene Bartlett Haveman, 88, of Seeley Lake, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Beehive Homes, of Alzheimer's.

She was born on Feb. 22, 1937, in Kalispell, to Helen and Eldred Meyer of Creston. She started school in Portland where her folks were working in the war effort and came back home to Ferndale in the fifth grade. After finishing junior high, Marlene went to high school in Bigfork and turned down a college scholarship to start a family.

Marlene married Raymond “Buzz” Bartlett on Nov. 4, 1955 in Bigfork. She worked at the Bank of Columbia Falls after her four children were all school age. They built a house in Seeley Lake and moved there in 1981. She worked at First Valley Bank and upon retirement, both Buzz and Marlene enjoyed traveling, spending many winters in Arizona. Buzz passed away in March of 1999.

Marlene married Jay Haveman in January 2002. They also enjoyed traveling, although mostly to auctions and his family land in Hysham. Jay passed away in October 2020.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she enjoyed her later years at the Mission Bible Fellowship and the Senior Center.

Survivors include her daughters, Vicki, Columbia Falls, and Patti, Seeley Lake; sons, Bill (Terryl), Seeley Lake, and Jim, Stevensville; stepsons, Jim (Danielle), Bigfork and Justin (Sue), Eureka; and stepdaughter, June (Richard), Seeley Lake; two brothers, Neil (Dixie) Salmon Prairie, and Jim (Mavis), of Ferndale; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral will be at the Little Brown Church in Bigfork (Real Life Church) on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 1 p.m. with Ronnie Pierce officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home is caring for the family.

He married Elvira Mary Trujillo on 11 August 1956 at Casper, Natrona Co., Wyoming. Clyde Henry Meyers lived in December 2006 at Albuquerque, Bernalillo Co., New Mexico.¹ He died on 23 April 2015 at Albuquerque, Bernalillo Co., New Mexico, at age 90.

     Bernard Adean Mickelson was born on 3 July 1907 at Stevens Co., Minnesota.^2,1 He married Etta Lorraine Sax, daughter of Stephen Edward Sax and May Perkins, on 22 February 1934 at Stevens Co., Minnesota.¹ Bernard Adean Mickelson died on 13 August 1994 at Grant Co., Minnesota, at age 87.^2,1 He was buried at Union Cemetery, Elbow Lake, Grant Co., Minnesota.²
