In 1996, Stella sold the house she had lived in many years, at 236 So. Grove, in Mora, MN; and moved into a senior housing apartment complex in Pierz, called Rose Court. This is located near her daughter Beverly Strumpf. Also, in 1996, Stella had cataract surgery and implants in both eyes. In April 2001, she broke her pelvis in four places, and moved into The Pierz Villa Nursing Home. She lived in October 1997 at 121 Faust St., Apt 104, Pierz, Morrison Co., Minnesota.
