Following memories of Peggy Jean Nebel:

"I, Peggy Nebel Conant, was born on a balmy September morning in 1925. My parents were Soren C. and Lucetta Bassett Nebel. I was born at the home of my Grandparents, Edwin and Eliza Ann Atkinson Bassett, at Kane, Wyoming. I attended grade school at Kane, Wyoming, where my parents owned a modest farm. By
riding thirty two miles daily on a bus, I was able to attend Lovell High School, from which I graduated in 1943. Shortly after graduation I went to Los Angeles where I met and married Leroy Conant in 1944. Our union has been blessed by three children, Sharon, Richard, and Linda. We have spent a number of years in New York,
and also lived in Indiana and Nebraska, but in 1959 we decided to make our permanent home back in the State of Wyoming."1
