     Delmar Wilfred Young was born on 14 October 1901 at Bothell, King Co., Washington.¹ He was the son of William Reuben Young and Eva Della Bothell. Delmar Wilfred Young married Edith Florence Lee on 7 August 1926. Delmar Wilfred Young died on 13 July 1993 at Bellingham, Whatcom Co., Washington, at age 91.¹ He was buried at Greenacres Memorial Park, Ferndale, Whatcom Co., Washington.¹

     Dorothy Katherine Young was born circa 1902 at Wisconsin. She married Edward Leslie Vent, son of Edward Vent and Katherine Bell, in 1947. Dorothy Katherine Young died on 20 September 1998 at Wisconsin.

     Eden H.D. Young was born on 14 December 1861.² He was the son of John A. Young and Hester Anne Davis. Eden H.D. Young married Laura M. Haehl, daughter of Frederick J. Haehl and Barbara (?). Eden H.D. Young lived in July 1927 at Shelbyville, Shelby Co., Indiana. He died on 1 May 1938 at Shelbyville, Shelby Co., Indiana, at age 76.² He was buried on 3 May 1938 at Forest Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville, Shelby Co., Indiana.²

     Elizabeth H. Young was born on 6 March 1868 at Indiana.² She was the daughter of John A. Young and Hester Anne Davis. Elizabeth H. Young lived in July 1927 at Shelbyville, Shelby Co., Indiana. Elizabeth never married.² She died on 24 June 1950 at Shelbyville, Shelby Co., Indiana, at age 82.² She was buried on 27 June 1950 at Shelbyville, Shelby Co., Indiana.²

     Ellaine Young married Marvin Dale Hammack, son of Dale M. Hammack and Doris Irene Harn, in 1994 at Rushville, Schuyler Co., Illinois.¹ Ellaine Young and Marvin Dale Hammack were divorced in 1995 at Rushville, Schuyler Co., Illinois.¹

     Fred Young was born on 20 March 1905.¹ He married Helen Myrtle Evanson in 1936. Fred Young died on 15 October 1991 at age 86.¹ He was buried at Plains Cemetery, Plains, Sanders Co., Montana.¹

     Helen Young was born on 23 September 1897 at Indiana.¹ She was the daughter of Eden H.D. Young and Laura M. Haehl. Helen Young married George H. Dunn on 14 September 1938 at Indiana. Helen Young died on 1 May 1965 at Shelbyville, Shelby Co., Indiana, at age 67.¹ She was buried on 4 May 1965 at Sec 1-Row 2-Group 2-North to South, Forest Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville, Shelby Co., Indiana.¹

     John A. Young was a Bank Cashier. He was born on 22 June 1838 at Shelby Co., Indiana.² He married Hester Anne Davis, daughter of Eden H. Davis and Eberilla Johnson, on 20 November 1860. John A. Young died on 25 July 1927 at age 89.² He was buried at Sec 1-Row 1-Group 2-Back Rows on Northeast Drive(Curved Part)South to North, Forest Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville, Shelby Co., Indiana.²

     Josephine Lenor Young was born on 22 June 1904 at King Co., Washington. She was the daughter of William Reuben Young and Eva Della Bothell. Josephine Lenor Young married George Howard Sklenar, son of Frank James Sklenar Jr. and Mary Matilda Kocourek, on 27 February 1923 at Anacortes, Skagit Co., Washington.¹ Josephine Lenor Young died on 5 September 1986 at Riverside, Okanogan Co., Washington, at age 82.      William Reuben Young was born on 23 February 1880 at Canada.¹ He married Eva Della Bothell in 1901. William Reuben Young died on 23 August 1945 at Skagit Co., Washington, at age 65.¹ He was buried at Bothell Pioneer Cemetery, Bothell, King Co., Washington.¹

     Frederick Yungers was born at Germany.¹ He married Anna Conrad.¹

     Joan Barbara Yungers was born on 27 November 1932 at Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota.² She was the daughter of Joseph Aloysious Yungers and Genevieve Perkins. Joan Barbara Yungers graduated in 1950 at Red Wing High School, Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota.³ She married Willard Melvin Steele, son of Elmer Fredolph Steele and Elvira Lohman, on 15 September 1955 at Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota.

Baskets of white, yellow and orchid chrysanthemums and candelabra decorated the altar of St. Joseph's Catholic church Friday evening at Miss Joan Barbara Yungers exchanged nuptial vows with Willard Melvin Steele. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Yungers, 1515 West Fourth street, and the groom's parents are Mrs. and Mrs. Elmer Steele of Hager City, Wis.
The Rev. Robert Dunn solemnized the double ring ceremony at 8 o'clock. The soloist was Donald Engeldinger and he was accompanied by Mrs. Donald Engeldinger who played a medley of organ music. Attending the bride as matron of honor was Mrs. Donald Knudsen of St. Louis Park. The flower girl was Anita Knudsen, also of St. Louis Park. Vernice Aslakson of Red Wing served as best man and the ushers were Donald Steele and Everett Peterson, also of Red Wing.
Floral patterned white lace over taffeta fashioned the bride's gown. A scoop neckline edged with scallops of lace completed the detail of the close fitting bodice and the bouffant skirt was finished with a sunburst of pleated nylon tulle. A crown of seed pearls caught her ballerina length veil and she wore a pearl necklace, a gift from the groom. Her flowers were Johanna Hill roses in a cascade bouquet.
Mrs. Knudsen chose a gown of mint green net over taffeta and her flowers were orchid pompons and yellow carnations in a semi-cascade arrangement. The flower girl, in a floor length dress of white net covered taffeta, carried a basket of yellow carnations and white pompoms. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Yungers selected a navy blue flock with which she wore pink accessories. The mother of the groom, in a grey dress, wore black accessories. They both had shoulder corsages of pink garnet roses. Following the nuptials 200 guests attended the reception held at St. Joseph's school hall. The serving tables were arranged with bouquets of white, yellow and orchid 'mums.
Mrs. Theodore Poncelet assisted by Mrs. George Fellman presided at the coffee table and Mrs. Howard Perkins served the bridal cake. Attending the guest book was Mrs. Ronald Anderson while Mrs. Harry Jacobson and Mrs. Darrell Johnson cared for the gifts. Others assisting were Miss Marianne Florine, Mrs. Willard Miller, Mrs. Vernice Aslakson, Mrs. Donald Steele and Mrs. Everett Peterson.
The newlyweds are now on a wedding trip to the Black Hills. For travel the bride chose a charcoal and pink tweed suit. Her accessories were black and she wore a corsage of pink garnet roses. After September 25 the couple will be at home at 1703 1/2 West Fifth street. Both the bride and her husband graduated from the Red Wing high school. The new Mrs. Steele is employed at the office of the Red Wing Pottery and the groom is employed at the American Rock Wool company. Guests attended the wedding from Minneapolis, Goodhue, Zumbrota, Mazeppa, Ellsworth, Wis., and North Dakota. Talked to Joan in April 1994, said had 9 grandchildren. Letter mailed to Joan at her Red Wing address on 20Feb1994. Joan Barbara Yungers lived in 2004 at 1738 W. 6th, Red Wing, MN.

Joan Steele
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Joan Barbara Steele (Yungers), at the age of 82, peacefully surrounded by her loving family, passed away Feb. 17, in the Red Wing Healthcare Center's Memory Unit.

She was born and raised in Red Wing where she attended Red Wing High School, graduating in 1950. After graduation, she worked at the Red Wing Pottery and married the love of her life, Willard Melvin Steele in 1955. They raised four lovely daughters, Pam (Jeff) Hawkenson, Pat (Lee) Million, Peggy (Scott) Danielson, all of Red Wing, and Lynne (Gary) Stark of Estes Park, Colo. Her grandchildren are Eric (Maggie) Hawkenson, Jennifer (Nick) Jacobsen, Porter (Alli) Million, Kelsy (Craig) Pearson, Tommy (Katie) Danielson, Graham (Kristen) Danielson, and Cameron, Alicia, Kyra, and Tanner Stark, and Joan had ten wonderful great-grandchildren.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Genevive Yungers (Perkins); and one great-grandchild.

She became a stay at home mother while her girls grew up and she was involved in all their activities. She was a remarkable role model for family and friends. She was a very active member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. She later , worked in the OT Dept at the Red Wing Healthcare Center and Hi-Park.

Joan enjoyed camping, playing games, pontoon rides and sunsets at Prairie Lake Campground in Grand Rapids, Minn. Everyone knew her for kindness and the ability to reach out to others. She will always be remembered for her gentle tenderness and sweet smile.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, at St Joseph's Church in Red Wing. Visitation will be one hour before the service.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Services and Red Wing Healthcare Center (Alzheimer's Unit).

He died on 26 October 1976 at Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota, at age 80.^5,3 Joseph's Birth Record has father as Nicholas Youngers. Joseph's Death Record has father as Nicholas Yungers. His Social Security Number was 468-20-6136 issued in Minnesota, Social Security Death Index (b- 20Oct1896 d-Oct1976 Red Wing). He was buried at Calvary Cemetery, Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota.³

     Nicholas John Yungers was born on 15 October 1854 at Port Washington, Ozaukee Co., Wisconsin.¹ He was the son of Frederick Yungers and Anna Conrad.¹ Nicholas John Yungers was a farmer.¹ He married Mary Ann Steichen. The cause of death was His death certificate stated "...had a corn on foot which he cut off with a knife by himself, starting infection of corn and later of foot, finally developing Septicemia".¹ Nicholas John Yungers died on 20 April 1930 at Belvidere Twsp., Goodhue Co., Minnesota, at age 75.¹ He was buried on 22 April 1930 at St. Mary's Cemetery, Goodhue Co., Minnesota.¹
