     Thomas Wilson was born on 2 December 1822.¹ He married Elizabeth Ann Willets, daughter of Samuel H. Willets and Mary Catherine Purdy, on 19 May 1863. Thomas Wilson died on 6 March 1906 at age 83.¹

     Wade Wilson married Michelle Dawn Patterson.¹

     Dr. Willets Wilson was born on 15 June 1873 at Ithaca, Tompkins Co., New York.¹ He was the son of Thomas Wilson and Elizabeth Ann Willets. Dr. Willets Wilson married Alice Thompson on 24 October 1917. Dr. Willets Wilson died on 6 February 1956 at Tompkins County Memorial Hospital, Ithaca, Tompkins Co., New York, at age 82.¹ Dr. Willets Wilson was a Physician. Home in Ithaca, NY, built by Ebenezer Purdy. The cause of death was cerebral hemorrhage.

     William Franklin Wilson was born on 4 December 1877 at Linn Co., Missouri.¹ He was the son of Robert Franklin Wilson and Mary Amerest Brookshire. William Franklin Wilson died on 5 June 1962 at Brookfield, Linn Co., Missouri, at age 84.¹ He was buried at Rose Hill Cemetery, Brookfield, Linn Co., Missouri.¹

     Josephine Charlotte Wilt was born on 3 February 1926 at Geauga Lake, Portage Co., Ohio.¹ She married Graydon Muir Harn Jr., son of Graydon Muir Harn Sr. and Hannah Wood Sagers, in 1955. Josephine Charlotte Wilt died on 15 April 2015 at California at age 89.¹ She was buried at Gridley-Biggs Cemetery, Gridley, Butte Co., California.¹

     Carolyn VanKirk Wilton is the daughter of Richard Edward Wilton and Susan VanKirk Williams.

     Richard Edward Wilton married Susan VanKirk Williams, daughter of Hayden Trevor Williams and Virginia Van Kirk Morgan, on 5 September 1958.¹

     Scott Trevor Wilton is the son of Richard Edward Wilton and Susan VanKirk Williams.

     Glen Hiram Winchell was born in 1907 at Illinois. He was the son of John Franklin Winchell and Alice Harn.

     John Franklin Winchell married Alice Harn, daughter of Stephen Adrian Harn and Mary Etta Blodgett, on 14 September 1903 at Iowa.

     Margaret Etta Winchell was born on 2 March 1907 at Cuba, Fulton Co., Illinois. She was the daughter of John Franklin Winchell and Alice Harn. Margaret Etta Winchell married Eugene Delles Driffill on 8 January 1925 at Warren Co., Illinois. Margaret Etta Winchell died on 7 October 1988 at Sacramento, Sacramento Co., California, at age 81. She was buried at Mount Vernon Memorial Park, Fair Oaks, Sacramento Co., California.²

     Otis Adrian Winchell was born on 7 January 1905 at Greenview, Menard Co., Illinois. He was the son of John Franklin Winchell and Alice Harn. Otis Adrian Winchell died on 7 December 1964 at Sacramento Co., California, at age 59. He was buried at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park, Sacramento, Sacramento Co., California.²

     Verna Lucille Winchell was born on 4 August 1905 at Illinois. She was the daughter of John Franklin Winchell and Alice Harn. Verna Lucille Winchell died in August 1973 at St. Louis, Missouri.

     Batchelor Wing was born in 1763.¹ He married Mary Cahoon.

     Experience Wing was born on 15 September 1789 at China, Kennebec Co., Maine.¹ She was the daughter of Batchelor Wing and Mary Cahoon.¹ Experience Wing married Micajah Dudley Jr., son of Micajah Dudley and Susan Foster, on 17 January 1810 at Leeds, Androscoggin Co., Maine.¹ Experience Wing died at Kennebec Co., Maine.¹

     Suzanne Marie Winkler was born on 22 June 1946 at Milwaukee, Milwaukee Co., Minnesota.² She married male Kleist. Suzanne Marie Winkler married Howard James Squires, son of Gordon Justus Squires and Stella Marie Vrzal, on 20 August 1977 at Hennepin Co., Minnesota. Suzanne Marie Winkler died on 24 September 2019 at Orford, Grafton Co., New Hampshire, at age 73.^3,2 She was cremated.² She graduated at University of Wisconsin, Wisconsin.³ SOURCE: Stella Squires letter 5/1991. ORFORD, NH — Suzanne Marie Squires died peacefully in her home September 24th, 2019.

She is survived by husband Howard; son Matthew, MD of Hanover, New Hampshire; his wife Avin; and grandchildren Bennett, Matthew Jr., Giulianna, and Hollis.

Suzanne was the recipient of the Joslin Diabetes Center Triumph for Man and Medicine award celebrating living with Type 1 Diabetes for over 50 years. She was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and University of Toronto.

Suzanne led a very active life. She was a Master Knitter, Tai Chi instructor, avid mahjong player and member of several book clubs.

A service in celebration of her life will be held on Friday, October 4th at 10:30am at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Hanover, NH. All friends and family are welcome to attend.

     Harold Alvin Wintz was born on 18 June 1905 at Monessen, Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania. He was the son of John Philip Wintz and Tillie L. Campbell. Harold Alvin Wintz married Helen O'Bryn circa 1946 at California. Harold Alvin Wintz died on 1 December 1953 at San Francisco, San Francisco Co., California, at age 48. He was buried at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Colma, San Mateo Co., California.¹

J. Philip Wintz Shot to Death

An exchange of pistol shots, six in all, from weapons in the hands of a 70-year-old father and his 37-year-old son at a house in Lick Branch shortly after 9 o'clock Friday night left the father mortally wounded and sent the son to the hospital with three bullet wounds on his body.

Detective Lieut. Edgar C. Bourne reported Saturday that a murder charge had been preferred against Harold E. Wintz, the son, operator of a grocery store in Lick Branch, for the slaying of his father, J. Philip Wintz.

Two bullets from the son's gun, a .32 caliber pistol, struck the father in his chest and arm as he sat in a easy chair on the front porch of his home located near the mouth of Lick Branch hollow. The son was struck by three bullets from the father's gun, also a .32 caliber pistol, in the wrist, leg and abdomen. At the Charleston General hospital, the son's condition was not considered as critical.

Lieut. Bourne reported that the son did not know that he had killed his father until early Saturday at the hospital. "I had talked to Wintz for a while," the lieutenant said, "and he told me he wanted his father arrested and held for a while, I told him then that his father was dead. He went all to pieces and became hysterical. We left him and preferred the murder charge later."

The Wintz family, according to Lieut. Bourne, is one of the older families of the city, Mr. Wintz residing all his life at Lick Branch. The police had completed their investigation Saturday and Bourne had reported that the last two or three years, there had been "hard feelings" between the father and son over property owned by the family in Lick Branch.

According to the Lieutenant, the older Wintz and his sister, deceased, owned considerable property in the area which eight or ten houses are located, all of which are rented. The father, son and son's wife lived in the old Wintz homestead near the mouth of the hollow. When the sister died several years ago, according to Bourne, she left her half interest in all of the property to the son and left $100 to her brother. "That," said Bourne, "caused the ill feeling."

The ill feeling reached a climax Friday afternoon, Bourne reported, when the elder Wintz went to the store, not far from the home place, and asked for 38 cents. This the son refused, Bourne said.

An argument followed in which the collection of rents from the property was brought up and as the elder Wintz left the store he informed the son to stay away from the house.

About 4 o'clock Friday afternoon, according to Bourne, the son went to the house and was stopped by the father on the front porch. A scuffle followed in which the son took a knife away from his father. The father then swung at the son with his cane but missed him and struck his daughter-in-law.

Still later in the evening according to Bourne, the son had locked up the store and started up on the porch of the home. The father, sitting in his chair in the shadows, opened fire with his pistol, Bourne said. The son pulled a pistol from his pocket and returned the fire.

Two state troopers who had been given the assault warrant to serve, arrived at the Wintz home a few minutes after the shooting occurred and notified city police.
