Thornton Fleming Harn II was born on 17 January 1857 at Moravia, Appanoose Co., Iowa.1,2 He was the son of Thornton Fleming Harn and Martha Anne Cumpston. Thornton Fleming Harn II married Phoebe Laura Dayton, daughter of Oscar Dayton and Delilah (?), on 10 September 1878 at Beloit, Mitchell Co., Kansas. Thornton Fleming Harn II was buried circa February 1933 at Scottsville Cemetery, Scottsville, Mitchell Co., Kansas.3 He died on 4 February 1933 at Scottsville, Mitchell Co., Kansas, at age 76.1 Thornton Fleming Harn II was a Baptist.
The following obituary was taken from The Beloit Gazette newspaper (Kansas), 08 Feb 1933, pg 8, column 2-3.
Thornton Fleming Harn was born January 17, 1857 at Moravia, Iowa. At the age of 17 he came to Mitchell county, Kansas and for a few years lived on a small farm in the edge of Scottsville and later moved into town where he owned and operated a general store for 35 years. On October 9, 1878 he was married to Lora Phoebe Dayton at Beloit and to them were born three children: Mary Ellen West and Sadie Alice Carter of Concordia and Earl Eaden Harn of Murphysboro, Ill.
As a lad Mr. Harn became a member of the Baptist church of Scottsville and here retained his membership until the church was disbanded then he moved his membership to the First Baptist church of Concordia where it remained until his death which occurred at four o'clock in the morning of Feb. 4, 1933 in the 77th year of his life.
For many years he was a member of the Masonic order of Scottsville. He leaves besides his widow and three children, four grandchildren and one brother, H.M. Harn of Stockton, Kansas; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Pence of Moravia, Iowa. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W.R. Holt, of Concordia on Sunday afternoon at 2:39 at the home in Scottsville and burial was in the Scottsville cemetery.
The following obituary was taken from The Beloit Gazette newspaper (Kansas), 08 Feb 1933, pg 8, column 2-3.
Thornton Fleming Harn was born January 17, 1857 at Moravia, Iowa. At the age of 17 he came to Mitchell county, Kansas and for a few years lived on a small farm in the edge of Scottsville and later moved into town where he owned and operated a general store for 35 years. On October 9, 1878 he was married to Lora Phoebe Dayton at Beloit and to them were born three children: Mary Ellen West and Sadie Alice Carter of Concordia and Earl Eaden Harn of Murphysboro, Ill.
As a lad Mr. Harn became a member of the Baptist church of Scottsville and here retained his membership until the church was disbanded then he moved his membership to the First Baptist church of Concordia where it remained until his death which occurred at four o'clock in the morning of Feb. 4, 1933 in the 77th year of his life.
For many years he was a member of the Masonic order of Scottsville. He leaves besides his widow and three children, four grandchildren and one brother, H.M. Harn of Stockton, Kansas; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Pence of Moravia, Iowa. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W.R. Holt, of Concordia on Sunday afternoon at 2:39 at the home in Scottsville and burial was in the Scottsville cemetery.

Virginia was born in York, daughter of the late Abraham W. and Edith (Ambrose) Harn. She married Kermit P. Foor Sr. on Dec. 16, 1946, in Cumberland, Md. He preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 1985.
Surviving are sons: Larry (Michele) Foor of Winter Park, Fla., Lloyd (Carol) Foor of Bellwood, Roger (Linda) Foor of Altoona and Steven (Tracy) Foor of East Freedom; a daughter, Rebecca Foor of Orlando, Fla; 12 grandchildren: Kermit Foor III, Malcolm Foor, Crystal Clark, Lloyd Bradley Foor, Jennifer Foor, Julie Petrakis, Larry Foor Jr., Roger Foor Jr., Jessica Diehl, Garrett Snyder, Grant Snyder and Steven Zachary Foor; and many great-grandchildren.
Virginia was preceded in death by a son, Kermit P. Foor Jr; a sister, Viola Eyers; and brothers: Jim, Sonny and Pete Harn.
She was a member of Christ Community United Methodist Church and was a former member of Schum United Methodist Church.
Virginia loved to spend time gardening, making crafts, crocheting and particularly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Per Virginia’s wishes, there will be a private funeral service held at the convenience of the family, officiated by the Rev. Rebecca Holland.
Interment will be at Ray’s Cove Cemetery in Everett.
The family would like to thank the staff at Homewood at Martinsburg for the great care Virginia received.
In honor of Virginia’s life, the family would request that donations be made to Christ Community United Methodist Church, 5715 Roselawn Ave., Altoona, PA 16602; or to Homewood at Martinsburg, 437 Givler Drive, Martinsburg, PA 16662.

Virginia R. “Ginny” Foor, 91, Homewood at Martinsburg, formerly of Altoona, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Thursday, following an extended illness.
