COMMITS SUICIDE.
Body of Woman Found Hanging From Rafter of Living Room.
The body of Mrs. Jessie Harn Streeter, was discovered by her brother, Oscar Harn, hanging to the rafters of the living room of the Harn home at Cedar lake. Friday. The body was not found until nearly noon and had been hanging for some time. Lying near at hand was a note from the unfortunate woman, which read: "I don't want to live any longer. Jessie."
Mrs. Streeter has been making her home with her brother at Cedar lake for some time past. She was unfortunate in matrimonial matters and that lead to her becoming demented. It was decided some time ago to take her to Rochester to the hospital for treatment. She grew better and on Thursday Mr. Harn phoned Sheriff Geiger, that she was so much improved, that the arrangements for her removal were called off. On Friday her dead body was discovered.
Mr. Ham arose early Friday and about seven o'clock heard her moving about the bed room, that opened off the front room, only a curtain being over the door. He spoke to her and asked her to come to breakfast. He went about his chores and as she did not make her appearance, he thot that she returned to bed, as she often did during the morning. Returning to the house about eleven o'clock he discovered the body hanging from the rafters, the rope was used for a clothes line, about her neck. She had tied the rope about her neck and stepped off a chair. When the Sheriff and Coroner arrived the rope had broken and the body was lying on the floor.
The funeral will be held this morning. Rev. M. L. Reynolds will conduct the service and the remains will be laid In Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Streeter was about 47 years of age. She Is survived by three brothers and two sisters. The sisters living in Los Angeles, Cal., and Denver. Colo. One brother, Harry Harn living ln Butte Montana, arrived in this city Tuesday morning.
