     Anna Rolfe Purdy was born on 23 March 1865 at Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota. She was the daughter of David Willets Purdy and Frances Mary Rolfe. Anna Rolfe Purdy married Marshall Timothy Perkins, son of Hartson Ellsworth Perkins and Violet P. Ellsworth, on 17 March 1884 at Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota.3 Anna Rolfe Purdy died on 12 November 1903 at Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota, at age 38.4 She was buried on 14 November 1903 at Hope Cemetery, Featherstone Twsp., Goodhue Co., Minnesota.5,6
     Her married name was Perkins. Anna Rolfe Purdy was a Housewife.
Research in June 1996, did not locate Anna's death in Goodhue Co. Death Records.

Mrs. Marshall T. Perkins, who has suffered for a long time from Bright's disease and whose death has been momentarily expected for several days, passed away at 12 o'clock last night. The deceased, whose maiden name was Anna Purdy, and who was the daughter of the late David Purdy, was born and raised in Goodhue. She was 38 years of age and leaves a husband and nine children. The funeral will take place at 10 o'clock to-morrow morning at the residence on Main street, Rev. C.C. Rollit officiating. Internment will be in the Featherstone cemetery. The pallbearers were Tim Tripp, C. Bryan, Charles R. Crandall, A.B. Crandall, Charles Perkins and Charles Brown.

The sad news was received today of the death of Mrs. Grant Featherstone of Featherstone township, which occurred at Mounds hospital, St. Paul, this morning following an operation for brain tumor.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Grant Featherstone, whose death occurred at Mounds hospital, St. Paul, Wednesday morning following an operation for tumor of the brain, will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from Swanson's Sons' undertaking rooms and at 2 o'clock at the First Methodist church. Rev. J.E. Bowes will officiate. He will be assisted by Rev. G.A. Sahoon. Internment will be at Hope cemetery, Featherstone. The funeral will be by automobile. The deceased was a resident of Featherstone for many years. She was born in New York state 53 years ago. When a girl she came to Wisconsin and late settled in Goodhue. The deceased was unconscious twenty-four hours before her operation and never rallied.
