Agnes Irene Lien died on 14 January 1937 at Rice Co., Minnesota, at age 22.¹ She was buried at Vang Lutheran Church Cemetery, Dennison, Goodhue Co., Minnesota.¹

     Alice Jeanette Lien was born on 26 April 1922 at Northfield, Rice Co., Minnesota.¹ She was the daughter of Andrew Gunderson Lien and Anna Olsdatter Lockrem. Alice Jeanette Lien married Obert Joseph Eggum on 19 February 1959 at Northfield, Rice Co., Minnesota. Alice Jeanette Lien died on 6 September 2019 at Cannon Falls, Goodhue Co., Minnesota, at age 97.¹ She was buried at Vang Lutheran Church Cemetery, Dennison, Goodhue Co., Minnesota.¹

Alice (Lien) Eggum, age 97, of Dennison, passed away Friday, September 6, 2019, at the View Senior Living in Cannon Falls.

Alice was born April 26, 1922, the daughter of Andrew and Ann (Lockrem) Lien in Northfield Township. She attended Oak Grove country school, the same school where she had known Obert, her husband to be. Obert was a few years older and the families lived close to each other. He would give Alice and other kids sleigh rides to school. Alice’s sister lived in California and had wanted her to come out for work so Alice bought a train ticket and went to Southern California during WWII where she worked for North American Aviation as a “Rosie the Riveter” and helped manufacture the B-51 Mustang and B-25 Billy Mitchell. She enjoyed living in California but was needed at home to help care for her father. Upon her return, she began working at Carleton College. Alice was united in marriage to Obert Eggum on February 19, 1949, at Pastor Adolph Egge’s home in Northfield. The couple would be blessed with four sons. They made their home in Northfield Township on the family farm where they raised their family and farmed for many years.

Alice had a strong faith and was an active member at Vang Lutheran Church where she served on the Ladies Aid and taught Sunday school. She had a strong work ethic that was evident over her life working at the defense plant and farming.

She enjoyed sewing, quilting, patching jeans, crafts and taking pictures. She also loved plants because according to the family, she just couldn’t kill them. She was also very thoughtful serving house guest meals or other homemade treats when they came to visit. Alice was very proud of her Norwegian heritage. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be dearly missed and affectionately remembered.

She is survived by her sons Lance Eggum of Minneapolis; Kevin (Connie) Eggum of Cannon Falls; Clyde (Chrystine) Eggum of Dennison; Bryan (Jennifer) Eggum of Dennison; seven grandchildren Jason Eggum; Kyle Eggum (Molly Nefstead); Courtney (Joel) Rustad; Andrew (Jennifer) Eggum; Joseph (Dena) Eggum; Justin Eggum; Erin (John) Spanczak; and ten great-grandchildren Rowan Eggum; Miles Eggum; Sam Kalow; Owen Kalow; Avery Rustad; Charlie Rustad; Breck Rustad; Alonso Eggum; Kaia Eggum; and Charlotte Spanczak. She is preceded in death by her husband Obert (2011); her parents Andrew and Anna Lien; four sisters Agnes; Irene; Gladys; Dorothy; and two brothers Orlando and Lloyd.

Funeral services will be at Vang Lutheran Church, Dennison on Friday, September 13, 2019, beginning at 11:00 AM with Reverend Paul Graham officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2019, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bierman Funeral Home, Northfield and one hour prior to the service in the church. Alice will be laid to rest next to her husband, Obert, at Vang Lutheran Cemetery in Holden Township. Memorials are preferred to Vang Lutheran Church, Vang Lutheran Cemetery or donor’s choice.

     Andrew Gunderson Lien was born on 7 August 1873 at Goodhue Co., Minnesota.^1,2 He was born circa 1874 at Minnesota. He married Anna Olsdatter Lockrem on 8 April 1914 at Rice Co., Minnesota. Andrew Gunderson Lien died on 23 April 1953 at Holden Twsp., Goodhue Co., Minnesota, at age 79.¹ He was buried at Vang Lutheran Church Cemetery, Holden Twsp., Goodhue Co., Minnesota.^3,2

     David William Lien is the son of Lloyd Alexander Lien and Geraldine Marie McCarthy.

     Dorothy Elizabeth Lien was born on 19 March 1928 at Rice Co., Minnesota.¹ She was the daughter of Andrew Gunderson Lien and Anna Olsdatter Lockrem. Dorothy Elizabeth Lien married Lorry Owen Starch on 24 November 1951 at Rice Co., Minnesota. Dorothy Elizabeth Lien died on 23 April 1982 at Rochester, Olmsted Co., Minnesota, at age 54.¹ She was buried at Knoll Cemetery, Goodhue Co., Minnesota.¹

Mrs. Dorothy Starch, 54, Nerstrand, died Friday morning, April 23, in a Rochester hospital. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Nerstrand United Methodist Church with the Rev. V. G. Schultz officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday in Hanson Funeral Home, Kenyon, Tuesday morning, and in the church one hour before services. She is survived by three sons, Gregory, Bryce and Daniel, all of Nerstrand; one daughter, Mrs. Christopher (Julie) Graham of Northfield; one brother, Lloyd Lien of Faribault; and three sisters, Mrs. Obert (Alice) Eggum of Dennison, Mrs. Roy (Gladys) Husbyn of Cannon Falls and Mrs. Francis (Irene) Powers of Inglewood, Calif.

     Gladys Orpha Lien was born on 4 February 1916 at Goodhue Co., Minnesota.¹ She was the daughter of Andrew Gunderson Lien and Anna Olsdatter Lockrem. Gladys Orpha Lien married Roy Chester Husbyn on 17 February 1941 at Osage, Mitchell Co., Iowa. Gladys Orpha Lien died on 13 November 2001 at Rice Co., Minnesota, at age 85.¹ She was buried at Wangen Prairie Cemetery, Stanton, Goodhue Co., Minnesota.¹

     James Andrew Lien is the son of Lloyd Alexander Lien and Geraldine Marie McCarthy.

     Lisia Katherine Lien is the daughter of Lloyd Alexander Lien and Geraldine Marie McCarthy. Lisia Katherine Lien married Richard Allen Rhoades II, son of Richard Allen Rhoades and Margaret Lynn Thomas, on 13 August 1994 at 1st English Lutheran Church, Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota.

     Lloyd Alexander Lien was born on 15 January 1921 at Dennison, Goodhue Co., Minnesota. He was the son of Andrew Gunderson Lien and Anna Olsdatter Lockrem. Lloyd Alexander Lien married Geraldine Marie McCarthy, daughter of William Charles McCarthy and Katherine Rose Sklenar, on 5 November 1955 at Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota.¹ Lloyd Alexander Lien died on 1 January 1993 at Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota, at age 71.² He was buried at Vang Lutheran Church Cemetery, Dennison, Goodhue Co., Minnesota.² He began military service on 11 March 1946 at Fort Snelling, Hennepin Co., Minnesota. He ended military service on 16 September 1947. He lived in 1957 at 613A SW 4th ave., Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota. The cause of death was complications from Leukemia.      Orlando Gerhard Lien was born on 2 June 1919 at Northfield, Rice Co., Minnesota.^1,2 He was the son of Andrew Gunderson Lien and Anna Olsdatter Lockrem. Orlando Gerhard Lien married Meredith Solvieg Haugen on 9 June 1951 at Dennison, Goodhue Co., Minnesota. Orlando Gerhard Lien died on 14 July 1967 at Northfield City Hospital, Northfield, Rice Co., Minnesota, at age 48.^1,2 He was buried at Vang Lutheran Church Cemetery, Dennison, Goodhue Co., Minnesota.²

Funeral services for Orlando Gerhard Lien, who passed away July 14 at the Northfield City Hospital at the age of 48, were held Monday, July 17 at 2 p.m. at the Vang Lutheran Church with the Rev. John E. Fahning officiating. Lois Johnson was accompanied by organist Mrs. Cyrus Midge in two selections. Pallbearers were Oswald Lee, Myron Ellingboe, Bernard Ellingboe, Arnold Ellingboe, Ulysses Kalseth and Lester Kalseth. Interment was in the Vang Cemetery with graveside services by Eugene H. Truax VFW Post of Northfield. Mr. Lien, son of Andrew and Anna Lockrem Lien, was born June 2, 1919 in Northfield Township. He was baptized and confirmed at the Vang Lutheran Church, of which he was a life member, June 9, 1951 he was united in marriage to Meredith Haugen of Dennison, Minn. They established their home on the Lien homestead where he lived his entire life except for the time he served in the U.S. Armed Forces during World War II. He is survived by his widow; three children, Russell, Rebecca and Douglas; one brother, Lloyd of Faribault; four sisters, Gladys (Mrs. Roy Husbyn) of Cannon Falls, Irene (Mrs. Francis Powers) of Inglewood, Calif., Alice (Mrs. Obert Eggum) of Dennison and Dorothy (Mrs. Lorry Starch) of Nerstrand and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Agnes.

     Patricia Ann Lien is the daughter of Lloyd Alexander Lien and Geraldine Marie McCarthy. Patricia Ann Lien married Duane Joseph Nerud, son of Myles Benjamin Nerud and Jane Marie Swenson, on 15 January 1977 at Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota.

     Charles Liggett is the son of John Clinton Liggett and Barbara Elizabeth Fellows.

     Dianne Liggett is the daughter of John Clinton Liggett and Barbara Elizabeth Fellows.

     John Clinton Liggett also went by the name of Corky. He was born on 13 June 1933 at Coos Bay, Coos Co., Oregon.¹ He married Barbara Elizabeth Fellows, daughter of Leroy LaVelle Fellows and Emma Louise Dennhardt, on 5 February 1955 at Roseburg, Douglas Co., Oregon. John Clinton Liggett died on 30 January 2009 at Coos Bay, Coos Co., Oregon, at age 75.¹ He was buried at Ocean View Memory Gardens & Crematory, Coos Bay, Coos Co., Oregon.¹ He lived in March 1975 at North Bend, Coos Co., Oregon.²

     Kathleen Liggett is the daughter of John Clinton Liggett and Barbara Elizabeth Fellows.

     Robert Liggett is the son of John Clinton Liggett and Barbara Elizabeth Fellows.

     Ronald Liggett is the son of John Clinton Liggett and Barbara Elizabeth Fellows.

     Fae Light was born on 16 June 1921 at Bunker, Reynolds Co., Missouri.¹ She was the daughter of William Henry Light and Lelia Virginia Warfel. Fae Light married Vernon Kinnard Burrows in 1940. Fae Light died on 11 November 1994 at New Madrid, New Madrid Co., Missouri, at age 73.¹ She was buried at Poca Hollow Cemetery, Van Buren, Carter Co., Missouri.¹

     Sarah Light married J.W. Darnell.¹

     William Henry Light was born on 11 November 1894 at Dent Co., Missouri.¹ He married Lelia Virginia Warfel, daughter of James Stewart Warfel and Harriet Edwards. William Henry Light died on 9 June 1963 at age 68.¹ He was buried at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Lemay Twsp., St. Louis Co., Missouri.¹

William Henry Light was a Private in the US Army during World War I.

     Margaret Jane Lightfoot was born on 8 December 1830 at Fleming Co., Kentucky.^1,2 She married Elijah Harn, son of John D. Harn and Susannah Norman, on 27 March 1856 at Kentucky.¹ Margaret Jane Lightfoot died on 29 June 1915 at Fleming Co., Kentucky, at age 84.^1,2 She was buried at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Mount Carmel, Fleming Co., Kentucky.²

     Henry Louis Lilley was born circa April 1857 at Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.¹ He was the son of John Lilley and Sarah (?) Henry Louis Lilley married Rebecca Brooks, daughter of Henry Brooks and Eliza (?), in 1884. Henry Louis Lilley died on 13 August 1929 at Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.

     John Allen Lilley was born on 21 June 1878 at German, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.¹ He married Lizzie Harn, daughter of John Davis Harn and Martha Jane McCann. John Allen Lilley died on 17 March 1952 at Uniontown, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania, at age 73.¹ He was buried at McClellandtown Presbyterian Cemetery, McClellandtown, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.¹

     Martha Elizabeth Lilley was born on 23 May 1908 at McClellandtown, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of John Allen Lilley and Lizzie Harn. Martha Elizabeth Lilley married Charles Vaccaro between 1940 and 1950. Martha Elizabeth Lilley died on 21 January 1989 at McClellandtown, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania, at age 80. She was buried at McClellandtown Presbyterian Cemetery, McClellandtown, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.¹ She lived in July 1937 at McClellandtown, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.²

     Sarah Catherine Lilley was born on 13 January 1888 at Heistersburg, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.^1,2 She was the daughter of Henry Louis Lilley and Rebecca Brooks. Sarah Catherine Lilley married Aden Wesley Harn, son of Henry Alexander Harn and Elizabeth Porter, on 8 July 1904 at Armond, Huntingdon Co., Pennsylvania.¹ Sarah Catherine Lilley died on 20 October 1941 at Arensburgh Station, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania, at age 53.^1,2 She was buried at Acklin Cemetery, Luzerne Twsp., Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.²

Following undated obituary, was in a letter from Mildred Harn in March 1995:
Mrs. Catherine Harn 56, died at her home on Telegraph road, Arensburg Station at 10:40 P.M. Mon. Oct 20, 1941. She was a life long resident of Luzerne Twp. and was a daughter of Henry Louis and Rebecca Brooks Lilley. She leaves her husband, Wesley Harn and the following children: Mrs. Gladys Seamons, Mrs. Kathyrn Perkins, Marion, Mrs. Ellen Bukowski, Wesley Jr., Mrs. Martin Christopher, all of East Millsboro; Arthur, Henry, Mary Jane, Joseph, Donald, and Robert at home, and following brothers and sisters; Henry Lilley, Adah; Mrs. Lydia Dennis, Mrs. Myers, Uniontown; & Thomas Brooks, Potter Co. The body will be taken to the residence of Mrs. Seamons, House 53, E. Millsboro from the Krapps funeral home, until Thursday of funeral, and buried in Acklin Cemetery, Rev. R.C. Van Eman.
