Funeral services for Albert C. Houser, 89, a retired shingle-mill owner, were held today in the Georgetown Funeral Home with burial in Calvary Cemetery, Tacoma.
Mr. Houser, who resided at 1003 E. Republican St., died in a hospital Sunday. He was born in Montgomery, Minn. He came to Seattle from Tacoma in 1917.
Mr. Houser operated the A.B.C. Mill on the Duwamish River many years. He was a member of the Ancient Order of United Workmen. His wife, Katherine, died earlier.
Survivors are a son, Albert C. Houser, Jr., Seattle, a daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Culbertson, North Bend, Ore; 12 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.⁴

Mrs. Helen Houser Detwiler, 33, a former Tacoma girl, died Sunday In a Seattle hospital, according to word received here Monday. With her husband, Harry Detwiler, she left Tacoma about eight years ago and had been living In Anacortes. She leaves three children, Barbara, Jack and Donald; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Houser, and a brother, A. J. Houser, of 3423 South 11th street, Tacoma, and a sister, Mrs. Beatrice Coleman of Los Angeles.
The body is at the Cassedy & Allen mortuary, the funeral services, which have been arranged for St. Leo's church, being postponed until Mr. and Mrs. A. Ç. Houser return from Los Angeles, where they were called last week by the death of their other daughter's husband, Dennis Coleman, also a former resident of Tacoma.
