Marvin married Oliver Wood Purdy, son of David Purdy and Elizabeth Ann Hopkins, on 21 January 1851. Amanda C. Marvin died on 17 January 1899 at Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota, at age 68.⁴ She was buried on 19 January 1899 at Hope Cemetery, Featherstone Twsp., Goodhue Co., Minnesota.^5,6

Mrs. Oliver W. Purdy, died at 4:30 o'clock, this morning, at her home in Featherstone. She was born in the state of New York and about 68 years old. She has been a resident of this county of over twenty years. She leaves a husband and one daughter to mourn her death. The funeral service will be held at the residence on Thursday morning, at 10:30 o'clock, and at the church at Featherstone at 11 o'clock.

In Memoriam, Amanda C. Purdy, wife of Oliver W. Purdy. Amanda C. Marvin was born in Tompkins county, N.Y., July 13, 1830, and died at her home in Featherstone, Jan. 17, 1899; age, 68 years, 6 months and 4 days. On Jan. 21, 1851, she was united in marriage to Oliver Purdy, who, with one daughter, remains to mourn. The family moved from Wisconsin to this state in 1876, and soon after settled on a farm in Featherstone, where success and prosperity attended their toil.
She was a woman of peculiar tact and grace; endowed as she was with a cheerful disposition, and a cultivated mind, she won the hearts of all whom she came in contact with. She had the rare gift of adapting herself to her surroundings and environments. With a company of children and youth, she was one of them, and would fully enter into their pleasures and enjoyments; with those who were weary and faltering in the conflict of every day life, her cheerful words and looks always gave courage strength and hope; with the sorrowing- and much there is all about us- she was the angel of mercy who, unasked would come into the stricken home, and with words and deeds of love, bring a ray of light and hope, to the afflicted ones. She was of strong religious disposition and dearly loved the house of God, and was in her place there, even after health had failed. She was one of those queenly characters well fitted to fill any position in the land, but her home was her throne, and right royally did she reign there. The funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. Cahoon, assisted by her former pastor, Rev. H.J. Harrington.

     Ezra Marvin married Hulda Chase. Ezra Marvin was born on 18 January 1806 at New York. He died on 1 October 1871 at age 65.

     Clarence Theodore Mason was born on 4 June 1884 at Fulton Co., Illinois. He married Jessie Harn, daughter of Fred Harn and Alice Austin, on 2 July 1904. Clarence Theodore Mason died on 13 December 1969 at Cuba, Fulton Co., Illinois, at age 85.

     Donald Clarence Mason was born on 16 February 1914 at Fulton Co., Illinois. He was the son of Clarence Theodore Mason and Jessie Harn. Donald Clarence Mason died on 13 February 1992 at Cuba, Fulton Co., Illinois, at age 77.

     Eleanor F. Mason was born on 10 July 1916 at Fulton Co., Illinois. She was the daughter of Clarence Theodore Mason and Jessie Harn. Eleanor F. Mason died on 29 March 1994 at Lewistown, Fulton Co., Illinois, at age 77.

     Everette Merle Mason was born on 26 June 1919 at Lewistown, Fulton Co., Illinois. He was the son of Clarence Theodore Mason and Jessie Harn. Everette Merle Mason died on 27 April 1981 at Iraan, Pecos Co., Texas, at age 61.

     Henry Mason was born on 27 April 1909 at Illinois. He was the son of Clarence Theodore Mason and Jessie Harn. Henry Mason died on 8 October 1988 at Knox Co., Illinois, at age 79.

     Nancy M. Mason was born on 22 June 1928.¹ She married Douglass E. Perkins MD, son of Everal Howard Perkins and Alberta J. Jones. Nancy M. Mason died on 1 February 2005 at age 76.¹ She was buried at Kinkead Cemetery, Alexandria, Douglas Co., Minnesota.¹

     Nellie Mason was born on 6 October 1911 at Illinois. She was the daughter of Clarence Theodore Mason and Jessie Harn. Nellie Mason died on 16 December 1992 at Schuyler Co., Illinois, at age 81.

     Willis Theodore Mason was born on 24 December 1906 at Fulton Co., Illinois. He was the son of Clarence Theodore Mason and Jessie Harn. Willis Theodore Mason died on 7 April 1959 at Cuba, Fulton Co., Illinois, at age 52.

     Thomas Massengill married Jacqueline Vera Hogan, daughter of Clare Hogan and Dorothy Walker.

     M.P. Masterson married female (?) M.P. Masterson lived in August 1945 at Denver, Colorado.

     Thomas Bernard Masterson was born on 16 September 1919 at Colorado.¹ He was the son of M.P. Masterson and female (?) Thomas Bernard Masterson married Viola Nada Weidman, daughter of William Frederick Weidman and Jane Walker, on 20 August 1945 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Casper, Natrona Co., Wyoming.²

Church Wedding Followed By Reception at Home
Vi Weidman Becomes Bride of Thomas Masterson

St. Anthony's Catholic church was the scene of a pretty wedding Monday morning, Aug. 20, when Miss Viola Weidman became the bride of Thomas B. Masterson, the ceremony taking place at 8 o'clock in the morning with the Rev. Father John Brady officiating. She was given in marriage by her brother-in-law, C. R. Cummings. Gladioli in assorted colors, combined with ferns were used on the altar and in the chancel, with tall candelabra holding tapers which cast a soft glow over the bridal group.
Preceding the ceremony, Miss Ann Duncan sang "Ave Maria" and "I Love You Truly" accompanied on the organ by Miss Edna Smith who also played the wedding march. The bride, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Weidman of Red Lodge, Mont., has made her home in Casper with her sister Mrs. C. R. Cummings and family of 347 So. Beech street for the past seven years. Her wedding gown was made on severely simple lines, of ivory slipper satin. The fitted bodice had a low waist-line, and a round yoke of chiffon, outlined by a shirred and corded band of chiffon: the sleeves were long and close fitting. The sweeping skirt had a long train. Her veil, lent for the occasion by a friend. Mrs. Robert Meyer who wore it for her own wedding, was of bridal illusion, caught by a tiara of seed pearls. She wore as her only ornament, a single strand of pearls. The bride carried an ivory prayer book upon which was arranged a single orchid, with a shower of satin ribbons and stephanotis.
Miss Mary Doherty, maid of honor, wore a formal gown of blue net and carried a colonial bouquet of pink roses and pink and white mums, arranged with pink and blue tulle. Among those present for the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. M. P. Masterson, parents of the bridegroom, here for the occasion from Denver. Mrs. Masterson wore a smart summer print of black and white, with a small black hat of French felt and white accessories: her flowers were of pink roses and stephanotis. Mrs. Cummings, sister of the bride, was dressed in a fall model of black crepe, made two-piece style with trimming of rhinestone buttons. Her hat was of black feathers pink-tipped, and she wore pale pink gloves. Her corsage was of pink roses and stephanotis.
The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. P. Masterson of Denver, recently returned to the states following service in ETO, where he served as technical sergeant with the U.S. Air Corps on a B-17 as the crew engineer. He made 67 missions over Germany before returning to the states. He was in the service about three and a half years, enlisting shortly after graduating from Regis college, Denver, and was discharged on points. He has accepted a position with the Waters Manufacturing company in Los Angeles, Calif., in which city he and his bride will make their home.
He was attended by Thomas Mc-Callim of Denver, who was his best man. Immediately following the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served for the bridal party and the families in the Wyoming room of the Hotel Townsend. The wedding reception, at 12 o'clock, was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Cummings of 347 So. Beech street, attended by over 50 friends of the couple. A three-tiered wedding cake centered the table and baskets of gladioli and bowls of summer flowers were used throughout the rooms of the home for the occasion. Presiding at the refreshment table and punch bowl were Miss Rita Kelliher in a frock having a pink Mary Kelliher in white net with balsk lace, and Miss Eileen Pringle in pink dotted swiss, and Mrs. T. C. Brannan in pale pastel pink; all four wore gardenias. The bridal couple left Wednesday evening for Denver from which point they will go on to California. For her going-away outfit, the bride wore a smart summer tailleur of pink and white stripes, completing her costume with a white pique hat and white accessories: her top coat was of light weight beige wool.      John William Mathes Jr. was born on 31 December 1926 at Norton, Norton Co., Kansas.¹ He married Rosemary Lynn McClelland, daughter of Herbert Charles McClelland and Josephine Maude Heller, on 10 July 1948. John William Mathes Jr. died on 11 May 2014 at Norton, Norton Co., Kansas, at age 87.¹ He was buried at Norton Cemetery, Norton, Norton Co., Kansas.¹

     Charles Thomas Mathews was born on 21 December 1929.¹ He married Shirley Laverne Dugan, daughter of James Harrison Dugan and Mildred B. O'Neal. Charles Thomas Mathews died on 30 November 2003 at age 73.¹ He was buried at Highland Cemetery, California, Washington Co., Pennsylvania.¹

     Alisha Gabrielle Mathis is the daughter of Gordon P. Mathis and Jodi Detwiler.¹

     Chloe Mathis is the daughter of Lukas James Taylor Mathis.¹

     Gordon P. Mathis married Jodi Detwiler, daughter of John Henry Detwiler Jr. and Evelyn Claira Black, on 27 December 1980 at Hoquiam, Grays Harbor Co., Washington.¹ Gordon P. Mathis and Jodi Detwiler were divorced on 10 February 1995 at Grays Harbor Co., Washington.¹
