Blanche Rupel married Chester A. Perkins in 1911. Blanche Rupel died on 8 April 1973 at South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana, at age 88.¹ She was buried at Saint Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Mishawaka, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.¹

     Charles Rupel was born on 8 January 1865 at St. Joseph Co., Indiana.¹ He was the son of Franklin Rupel and Martha Jane Rockhill. Charles Rupel married Clara Stickler on 8 February 1898.¹ Charles Rupel died on 25 February 1944 at age 79.¹ He was buried at Sumption Prairie Cemetery, Greene Twsp., St. Joseph Co., Indiana.²

     Chord S. Rupel was born on 18 February 1859 at South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.¹ He was the son of John J. Rupel and Lydia Chord. Chord S. Rupel married Mary Helen Wagner on 24 February 1880.¹ Chord S. Rupel died on 6 November 1927 at Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co., California, at age 68.

     Clyde Rupel was born in 1865.¹ He was the son of Tilghman H. Rupel and Rebecca A. Heaton. Clyde Rupel died on 30 January 1877.¹ He was buried at Sumption Prairie Cemetery, South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.¹

     Daniel M. Rupel was born in 1846 at Indiana.^2,3 He was the son of Samuel Rupel and Elinor Chord. Daniel M. Rupel married Amelia Walz in 1894. Daniel M. Rupel died on 1 April 1899 at St. Joseph Co., Indiana.³ He was buried in 1900 at Bowman Cemetery, South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.³

     David Rupel was born on 30 June 1811 at Somerset Co., Pennsylvania.^2,3 He was the son of Jacob Rupel and Nancy Ann Livengood. David Rupel married Sarah Melling, daughter of Andrew Melling (Meller) and Margaret (?), on 10 January 1836.² David Rupel died on 24 January 1894 at St. Joseph Co., Indiana, at age 82.^2,3 He was buried at Eastlawn Cemetery, North Liberty, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.³ David and Nancy were twins.

The History of St. Joseph County, Indiana, 1880, page 729-730, had following:
David Rupel, second permanent settler in Liberty tp. (township), was born in Somerset county, Pennsylvania, July 31, 1811; his parents, Jacob and Ann Rupel, were natives of Germany, and came to America at a very early day. In 1830 he came to Elkhart county, and remained during the winter. The following spring he came to this county and located near South Bend; at that time there were but two houses in the place, and they were occupied by Taylor and Coquillard, or Cutteau, as he was known, who had a trading post with the Indians at that place. In the summer of 1832 the settlers built the court-house; the material consisted chiefly of brick; in May, 1836, he moved to Liberty tp.
He was married Jan. 10, 1836, to Sarah Meller, daughter of Andrew and Margaret Meller, natives of Ohio. This union was blest with 6 children, 5 of whom are living, viz.: Dennis W., Andrew M., Margaret J., (now wife of J.W. Jones), Melinda C. (wife of David H. Weaver) and Mary E. (wife of Jonathan M. Cripe). Mrs. Rupel died Feb. 21, 1875, aged 58 years.

     David Arthur Rupel was born on 21 December 1873 at Lincoln Twsp., St. Joseph Co., Indiana.^1,2 He was the son of Andrew M. Rupel and Mara Alice Hasbaugh. David Arthur Rupel died on 10 August 1932 at North Liberty, St. Joseph Co., Indiana, at age 58.² He was buried at Eastlawn Cemetery, North Liberty, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.²

     Dennis Walker Rupel was born on 28 November 1839 at South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.^1,2 He was the son of David Rupel and Sarah Melling. Dennis Walker Rupel married Mary Ann O'Conner on 30 April 1862 at St. Joseph Co., Indiana.¹ Dennis Walker Rupel died on 29 December 1914 at St. Joseph Co., Indiana, at age 75.² He was buried at Eastlawn Cemetery, North Liberty, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.² Ruple Family in America, 1988, by Jack D.      Donald Aloysius Rupel was also known as Edmund Donald. He was born on 21 December 1921 at South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana. He was the son of Alexis Coquillard Rupel and Mary Elizabeth Drollinger. Donald Aloysius Rupel died on 30 May 1964 at age 42.

     Edith Rupel was born on 9 May 1878.¹ She was the daughter of Franklin Rupel and Martha Jane Rockhill. Edith Rupel married Harrison Kirkley on 16 October 1907.¹ Edith Rupel died on 29 December 1969 at age 91.¹ Edith and Harrison had three children.      Elias H. Rupel was born on 23 February 1835 at Centre Twsp., St. Joseph Co., Indiana.^1,2 He was the son of Peter Rupel and Christina Shumaker. Elias H. Rupel married Molly Barrett on 29 January 1885.¹ Elias H. Rupel died circa April 1927 at St. Joseph Co., Indiana.² He was buried at Bowman Cemetery, Portage Twsp., St. Joseph Co., Indiana.¹ Jim Coleman lists Elias death date as 09 Feb 1928. Jim Coleman lists Elias's wife as Mary Barrett.

     Elisha H. Rupel was born on 29 October 1827 at Somerset Co., Pennsylvania.^1,2,3 He was the son of Peter Rupel and Christina Shumaker. Elisha H. Rupel married Jane Vanderhoof, daughter of Jules Vanderhoof and Catherine (?), on 25 November 1853.¹ Elisha H. Rupel died on 22 May 1911 at St. Joseph Co., Indiana, at age 83.^1,2,3 He was buried at Bowman Cemetery, Portage Twsp., St. Joseph Co., Indiana.^1,3

Elisha H. Rupel, son of Peter and Christina Rupel, formerly of Pennsylvania, but later of this county, was born Oct. 29, 1827, in Somerset county, Pa; moved to this tp. (township) in 1830; was married in 1853 to Jane Vanderhoof, daughter of Jules and Catherine Vanderhoof, of this tp. They have 2 children, Clarissa, born in 1855, and Harrietta, born in 1860. Mr. R. is a Democrat; his first vote was cast for Andrew Jackson. He owns 187 acres of fine land, worth about $100 an acre, in sec. 26.

     Elizabeth Rupel was born circa 1811 at Pennsylvania.² She was the daughter of Jacob Rupel and Nancy Ann Livengood. Elizabeth Rupel married Daniel Thomas Palmer on 13 December 1834 at St. Joseph Co., Indiana. Elizabeth Rupel died on 30 January 1874 at St. Joseph Co., Indiana.² Jack D. Ruple lists Elizabeth & Daniel Palmer with 4 kids, unnamed. Jack Coleman lists Elizabeth married to John Ruddick on 01Aug1833. Jack Coleman lists Elizabeth and John Ruddick with 8 children. Jack Coleman lists John Ruddick remarrying in 1878 to Sophia Cook.

     Elizabeth Adelalde Rupel was born on 4 March 1914 at Greene Twsp., St. Joseph Co., Indiana. She was the daughter of Alexis Coquillard Rupel and Mary Elizabeth Drollinger. Elizabeth Adelalde Rupel married Robert Henry Drover II on 30 September 1939 at South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana. Elizabeth Adelalde Rupel died on 18 April 1983 at Baltimore, Maryland, at age 69. She was buried at Riverview Cemetery, South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.¹

     Ephraim Rupel was born on 4 December 1821 at Pennsylvania.¹ He was the son of John Jacob Rupel and Mary Peck. Ernest Burr Rupel married Hallie Smith, daughter of Alexander Smith and Emma Myers, on 14 December 1893 at St. Joseph Co., Indiana.² Ernest Burr Rupel died on 11 September 1945 at age 78.² He was buried at Bowman Cemetery, Portage Twsp., St. Joseph Co., Indiana.¹

     Frances Gabriel Rupel was born on 19 February 1910 at Indiana.¹ He was the son of Alexis Coquillard Rupel and Mary Elizabeth Drollinger. Frances Gabriel Rupel died on 9 November 1910 at Indiana.¹ He was buried at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Notre Dame, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.¹ He was never married.

Franklin Rupel married Martha Jane Rockhill on 26 November 1863 at Portage Twsp., St. Joseph Co., Indiana.² Franklin Rupel died on 9 August 1908 at St. Joseph Co., Indiana, at age 71.²

     Hazel Rupel was born circa June 1887 at Indiana.¹ She was the daughter of Isaac W. Rupel and Susan Fisher.

     Helen Rupel was born on 1 September 1895 at Center Twsp., St. Joseph Co., Indiana.^1,2 She was the daughter of Isaac W. Rupel and Susan Fisher. Helen Rupel died on 13 January 1920 at Los Angeles Co., California, at age 24.² She was buried at Bowman Cemetery, South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.² The cause of death was Tuberculosis.

     Herbert Heaton Rupel was born on 1 June 1867 at St. Joseph Co., Indiana.¹ He was the son of Tilghman H. Rupel and Rebecca A. Heaton. Herbert Heaton Rupel married Lunetta Briggs on 7 February 1906 at Indiana. Herbert Heaton Rupel died in 1937.² He was buried at Evergreen Memorial Park and Mausoleum, Riverside, Riverside Co., California.²

Hiram Rupel married Laura Treadwell on 14 May 1857.¹ Hiram Rupel died on 24 July 1906 at Indiana.² He was buried at Bowman Cemetery, Portage Twsp., St. Joseph Co., Indiana.¹ Jim Coleman lists Hiram born 14 Sep 1830, and died 24 Jun 1906.

Hiram Rupel, living on sec. 26, was born in Elkhart county, in September, 1830; his parents, Peter and Christina (Shumal) Rupel, were natives of Pennsylvania. Mr. Rupel was married in 1854 to Laura Creedvell, formerly of New York State. They have 3 children, Dicintha, Oscar William and Louis Edyker. Mr. Rupel is a farmer and has a beautiful and well tilled farm of 26 2/8 acres, valued at $100 per acre; P.O., South Bend.

Howard Glenn Rupel died on 22 July 1946 at St. Joseph Co., Indiana, at age 68.² He was buried at Riverview Cemetery, South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.²
