She died on 22 October 2011 at Holdrege, Phelps Co., Nebraska, at age 82.¹ She was buried at Williamsburg Cemetery, Phelps Co., Nebraska.¹

     Rev. Jay Eric Simonsen was born on 4 March 1938 at Austin, Travis Co., Texas.¹ He was the son of Arthur Simonsen and Margaret (?) Rev. Jay Eric Simonsen 1938 - 2017
Jay Eric Simonsen, 79, passed away Monday, September 18, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Margaret Simonsen; brother, Winston Simonsen; and sister, Jeanette Holland Ferguson. Jay is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Joan Simonsen; sons, “E. J.” Eric Simonsen and wife, Dawn and James Simonsen and wife, Holly; and grandchildren, Megan, Chase and Audrey Simonsen.

Jay was a proud American that served his country in the United States Army with the National Security Agency. He earned his Master of Education at Stephen F. Austin State University and a Master of Divinity from Concordia Theological Seminary. Jay taught Industrial Arts and Photography for many years and was manager for the Chamber of Commerce in several small communities. As a Pastor, he served for over 33 years at Crown of Life Lutheran Church in Rowlett, Grace Lutheran Church in Midland, St. Paul Lutheran Church in Groves, Grace Lutheran Church in Victoria, Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Palacios, Peace Lutheran Church in Texas City and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Angleton. After retirement Jay and Joan enjoyed their retirement home for 13 years in Rosharon. He especially loved boating and fishing throughout his life. Jay’s greatest pleasure was taking small trips with Joan up and down the coast in their Chris Craft Cruiser and enjoying the many cruises throughout the Caribbean. He took interest in being an avid reader especially Naval history during war times. Jay enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren and sharing his love of his childhood Lionel model trains. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services for Jay will be held Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 5515 W. Broadway St., Pearland, TX 77581. The visitation will take place at 10:00 am with the funeral service following at 11:00 am with Pastor Jon Salminen officiating.      Melvin Singer married Dorothy Jean Fusaro, daughter of Romeo Fusaro and Annette Bellucci, in 1978.¹ Melvin Singer died in 2000.¹

     Charles Phillip Singleton was born on 6 April 1943 at Anderson, Anderson Co., South Carolina.¹ He married Caroline Maude Grubbs, daughter of Max Wilton Grubbs and Miriam Ellsworth Black, in 1982. Charles Phillip Singleton lived in May 2012 at Anderson, Anderson Co., South Carolina.² He died on 8 July 2015 at Anderson, Anderson Co., South Carolina, at age 72.¹ He was cremated.¹

     Marie Clara Sisser was born on 12 August 1904 at Owatonna, Steele Co., Minnesota.¹ She married Charles Valdimore Kasper, son of Anton Kasper and Frances Simon, on 2 July 1929 at Steele Co., Minnesota. Marie Clara Sisser died on 6 March 1979 at Owatonna, Steele Co., Minnesota, at age 74.¹ She was buried at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Owatonna, Steele Co., Minnesota.¹

     Marmaduke Dovall Sizemore was born on 3 January 1917 at Torrington, Goshen Co., Wyoming. He married Margaret Jane Hammel on 9 September 1947 at Lusk, Niobrara Co., Wyoming. Marmaduke Dovall Sizemore died on 1 January 1994 at Tremonton, Box Elder Co., Utah, at age 76.
