Roger Larry Heyn married Nancy Jean Bickerstaff on 10 June 1961 at Hennepin Co., Minnesota.¹ Roger Larry Heyn married Valerie Ann Larson on 10 January 2004 at Pennington Co., Minnesota.¹ Roger Larry Heyn died on 17 January 2017 at Thief River Falls, Pennington Co., Minnesota, at age 77.¹ He was cremated. He lived in April 2015 at Thief River Falls, Pennington Co., Minnesota.²

Roger L. Heyn, 77, of Thief River Falls, MN formerly of Littleton, CO passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 in Thief River Falls, MN with his loving family at his side.

A Liturgy Of The Word will be held at 1:30 PM on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Father Rick Lambert presiding. Visitation will be held from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church.

Roger Larry Heyn was born August 7, 1939 in New Ulm, MN, to Ben and Norma (Noel) Heyn, and was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN. He grew up in Thief River Falls where he participated in golf, hockey, student senate, and theatre then graduated from Lincoln High School in 1957. He continued his education attending Moorhead State University, the University of Minnesota, and a specialized education program sponsored by the Minnesota Rubber Company. He met and later married Nancy Jean Bickerstaff in Minneapolis in 1961. He worked for Minnesota Rubber as well as Parker Seal companies in Minneapolis and then California before transferring his knowledge and experience to successfully pioneer his own rubber and computer business in Littleton, CO. Following the passing of Nancy, in October 2001, Roger moved back to Minnesota. In 2003, Roger met Valerie Ann Fellman Larson, who he then married in January of 2004.

Roger was an ambitious man with broad interests. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved golfing, hunting and fishing along with the camaraderie of his friends and family. He never stopped educating himself which he pursued through reading, traveling the world, or professional communication. His ultimate passion was studying, collecting, and restoring cars. Roger was a member of several different automobile clubs where he swapped iron and traded stories about finely tuned performance machines. He also had a fondness for collecting all types of interesting items including WWII artifacts, guns, and memorabilia.

Roger will be remembered as a very generous and loving man who always looked to engage those around him. His friends and family will miss his humor, quick wit, his warmth, integrity, and most of all his gifted ability to tell stories and entertain anyone at any age. To say he will be dearly missed is an understatement because anyone who had the honor to know and love him knew he was definitely a diamond in the rough.

Roger is survived by his spouse, Valerie Ann Heyn, his sister Patricia Heyn, of Thief River Falls, and his children from Colorado: Julie (Doug) Hatch, Steven (Deanna) Heyn, his grandchildren from Colorado: Sara and Nick Heyn and Jessica and Josef Hatch, his niece, Ann (Edward) Otstott, of Illinois, his grand nieces and nephews, Edward, Katie, Emily, Jon, and Ben Otstott, his stepchildren: Grant (Missy) Larson, Derek (Sherri) Larson, Kent (Sheila) Larson, and Kara (Ben) Worker, and his step grandchildren: Reese, Sara, Melania, Finn, Jackson, and Winston as well as his faithful dog “Teddy”.

Roger was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy, and his parents Ben and Norma.

     Lucy Hidden was born on 1 April 1722. She was the daughter of Ebenezer Hidden and Elizabeth Story. Lucy Hidden married Thomas Ellsworth, son of Jeremiah Ellsworth and Hannah Tenney, on 4 August 1743. Lucy Hidden died on 7 May 1811 at Amherst, Hillsborough Co., New Hampshire, at age 89.

     Jerald G. Hieronymus married Bonnie Ruth Post, daughter of Paul Gerald Post and Mary Lucile Taylor, in August 1956 at Washington, Tazewell Co., Illinois.

     Mary Pauline Higby was also known as Polly. She was born circa 1813 at New York info from 1850 Ohio Census. She was born in 1826 at New York.² She married William Leander Fellows. Mary Pauline Higby died on 9 September 1860 at New York.³ She was buried at Yates Center Cemetery, Yates Center, Orleans Co., New York.³

     Charles Franklin Higginbotham was born in 1904 at Gentry Co., Missouri.¹ He married Bernice Housley in 1928. Charles Franklin Higginbotham died in 1996 at St. Joseph, Buchanan Co., Missouri.¹ He was buried at St. Joseph Memorial Park, St. Joseph, Buchanan Co., Missouri.¹

     John Higgins was born in 1829 at Indiana. He married Emily Frances Foxworthy, daughter of Samuel Foxworthy and Dorcas Davis, on 27 November 1856 at Kentucky. John Higgins died before 1870.

     Elmer Samuel Hildebrand was born on 1 February 1901 at Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania.^2,1 He was the son of Samuel Hildebrand and Margaret Anna Grabel. Elmer Samuel Hildebrand married Arlene Harn, daughter of Arlet Eustace Harn and Josephine McBarnes.¹ Elmer Samuel Hildebrand died on 2 September 1951 at Carnegie, Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania, at age 50.^2,1 He was buried in 1951 at Chartiers Cemetery, Carnegie, Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania.^1,2

     Samuel Hildebrand was born on 10 March 1879 at Belmont, Belmont Co., Ohio.¹ He married Margaret Anna Grabel in 1899. Samuel Hildebrand died on 18 February 1962 at age 82.¹ He was buried at Chartiers Cemetery, Carnegie, Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania.¹

     Philip Maynard Hildebrandt was born on 6 November 1917 at Hillsboro, Highland Co., Ohio.¹ He was the son of William Adam Hildebrandt and Nellie Pearl Moore.¹ Philip Maynard Hildebrandt married Eva Pauline Gabbard.¹ Philip Maynard Hildebrandt died on 23 June 1991 at Clermont Co., Ohio, at age 73.¹

     William Adam Hildebrandt was born on 21 November 1881 at Cedar Mills, Adams Co., Ohio.¹ He was the son of John Newton Hildebrandt and Harriet Amanda Tolle.¹ William Adam Hildebrandt married Nellie Pearl Moore.¹

     John Charles Hilgert was born on 17 June 1918.¹ He married Nanette Marcella Berube on 19 August 1940. John Charles Hilgert died on 31 October 1999 at age 81.¹ He was buried at Roselawn Cemetery, St. Paul, Ramsey Co., Minnesota.¹

     Judith Ann Hilgert also went by the name of Judie. She was born on 28 November 1944 at Ramsey Co., Minnesota, File Number:     1944-MN-043966. She was the daughter of John Charles Hilgert and Nanette Marcella Berube. Judith Ann Hilgert married Richard Stanley Nestaval, son of Edward John Nestaval and Agnes Martha Szermeta, on 20 June 1964 at Minnesota. Judith Ann 'Judie' Nestaval

Nestaval, Judith "Judie" Ann of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 26th, 2024. She was born in 1944 and raised in St. Paul, MN. Judie married Richard (Dick) Nestaval in 1964. They were married for 53 years; Richard preceded her death in 2018, and her parents, John and Nanette Hilgert. She was the oldest of four; Tom, Jim, and Ken survived her. She is survived by her two children, Robert (Bob) Nestaval (Mikell) and Michelle (Mikki) Johnson (Greg); her grandchildren, Samantha (Patrick), Andee (Joe), Maya, Breanna (Alec), Nicholas, Connor, Gabrielle, and Brylea; and her great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Rhea, and Georgia, all of whom she loved dearly. Join us in celebrating her life Thursday, 5/2 at St. Bonaventure at 11 am in Bloomington, MN, with a luncheon and a celebration to follow in Plymouth, Greg and Mikki's home.
