     Hannah Elison was born on 4 January 1779 at Middlesex Co., New Jersey. She married Samuel Rolfe, son of Ephraim Rolfe and Sarah Campbell, on 14 July 1799 at New Jersey. Hannah Elison died on 25 October 1857 at Enfield, Tompkins Co., New York, at age 78.¹ She was buried at Rolfe Cemetery, Enfield, Tompkins Co., New York.¹

     John Wayne Elkin was born on 19 March 1941 at Sheridan, Sheridan Co., Wyoming.¹ He was the son of Wayne W. Elkin and Irene O'Shaughnessy. John Wayne Elkin married Marla Lou Kollenborn, daughter of Lewis Lee Kollenborn and Marjorie Bernice Tracey, on 18 December 1965 at Flathead Co., Montana. John Wayne Elkin and Marla Lou Kollenborn were divorced on 18 February 1970. John Wayne Elkin died on 5 October 1998 at Sheridan, Sheridan Co., Wyoming, at age 57.¹ He was buried at Sheridan Municipal Cemetery, Sheridan, Sheridan Co., Wyoming.¹

     Donna Darlene Ellerman is the daughter of John Robert Ellerman and Mary Rose Nance.¹ Donna Darlene Ellerman married Carlos M. Palmer.¹

John Kenneth Sells, son of John Calhoun Sells and Annie Kezia(h) Harn, circa 1928. Hattie Lewis Ellis died on 11 September 1983 at Santa Fe, Santa Fe Co., New Mexico, at age 81.^1,2 She was buried at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, Santa Fe Co., New Mexico, Plot: G, 17A.² Hattie Lewis Ellis was a Housewife. Was unable to locate an obituary for Lewis Sells in The New Mexican, the Santa Fe daily newspaper. Checked September 13-30, 1983 with no success. The microfilm for September 1,12 1983 was not on the roll.

A search application for the death record at the New Mexican Department of Health for Lewis Sells, was rejected. For privacy reasons, information is only released to members of the immediate family.



California Passenger Ship list has John Kenneth Sells and Lewis Ellis Sells arriving in San Francisco on 07Apr1930 from Manila-Philippines on the ship US Grant. It lists Lewis born in Denver on 29Mar1902, John born in Cripple Creek-Colorado on24Sep1899.⁴

SELLS Mrs. Lewis Sells passed away Sunday evening at St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe. She is survived by two daughters, Ann Kern of Santa Fe and Sonya Withers of Atlanta, Ga., eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held today at 10 a m at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Faith with Father Shepherd officiating. Private burial will be Thursday in the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Arrangements are through McGee Memorial Chapel Mortuary and crematory.

Ned Allen Ellison died on 14 September 1994 at age 51.¹ He was buried at Harris Prairie Cemetery, Granger, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.¹

     Amanda Smith Ellsworth was born on 6 September 1843 at Avon, Franklin Co., Maine.^1,2 She was the daughter of Thomas Ellsworth and Miriam Maddocks. Amanda Smith Ellsworth married Daniel Higgins Towle on 22 March 1864.² Amanda Smith Ellsworth died on 12 October 1882 at Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota, at age 39.^1,2 She was buried at Hope Cemetery, Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota.¹

     Amos Doblier Ellsworth Jr. was born on 11 September 1875 at Winona, Winona Co., Minnesota.¹ He was the son of Amos Dolbier Ellsworth and Elizabeth C. Smith. Amos Doblier Ellsworth Jr. married Lucy Katherine Woods in 1915.¹ Amos Doblier Ellsworth Jr. died on 20 May 1946 at Long Beach, Los Angeles Co., California, at age 70.¹ He graduated in 1900 at Hahnemann Medical College, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.¹

Amos Dolbier Ellsworth, Jr. born in Winona, Minnesota, September 11, 1875; died in Long Beach, California on May 20, 1946, He attended the University of Minnesota (1895-96), and graduated from Hahnemann Medical College of Philadelphia in 1900. He served as a mining company physician in Mexico and South America for a number of years. Upon returning to the United States, he passed the State Board examinations in Texas. He later took the State Board examinations in California and passed high in the list. He was a man of many interests, keenly alive to world affairs, always studying to keep abreast of changing medicine. He was interested in writing and had various articles published. On September 15, 1915 in Sacramento, California, he married Luez Katherine Woods, who was born in Winona, Minnesota, December 27, 1878, the daughter of Loren Ide and Abbie Elizabeth (Gould) Woods. For thirteen years. Dr. Ellsworth practiced in Fresno, California, where he was a member of the municipal board of health, a secretary of the Fresno County Medical Association and was in charge of the contagious diseases and tuberculosis section of Fresno General Hospital. In 1940 he moved to Long Beach, California, where he was a member of the Los Angeles County Medical Association and served on the Outside Medical Relief staff of the County Hospital. Upon the outbreak of World War II, he was attached as a physician to selective service in Los Angeles and worked on the staff of the medical plan for the Douglas Aircraft Corporation for one year. He then decided to go back into regular practice, had a new modern office built in a busy section of Long Beach, and spent his energies working as hard as he had done during World War I. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Long Beach. Home: 1020 Olive Avenue, Long Beach 13, California.¹

     Amos Dolbier Ellsworth was born on 15 January 1830 at Salem, Franklin Co., Maine.^1,2 He was the son of William Ellsworth and Mary Polly Dolbier. Amos Dolbier Ellsworth married Elizabeth C. Smith circa 1872. Amos Dolbier Ellsworth married Nellie Harris. Amos Dolbier Ellsworth died on 20 May 1890 at Winona, Winona Co., Minnesota, at age 60.^1,2 He was buried at Woodlawn Cemetery, Winona, Winona Co., Minnesota.¹ Owner of Ellsworth Mill, Minnesota City, MN.

     Anna Ellsworth was born circa 1771 at Bristol, Lincoln Co., Maine. She was the daughter of Joseph Ellsworth and Patience (?) Anna Ellsworth married John Riesner on 22 March 1792 at Nobleborough, Lincoln Co., Maine.¹

     Belinda Ellsworth was born on 26 July 1811 at Strong, Franklin Co., Maine. She was the daughter of Jeremiah Ellsworth and Sarah Dodge. Belinda Ellsworth married male (?) on 5 October 1830 at Strong, Franklin Co., Maine. Belinda Ellsworth died on 29 January 1831 at Strong, Franklin Co., Maine, at age 19.

     Benjamin Ellsworth was born on 8 July 1826 at Salem, Franklin Co., Maine.^1,2 He was the son of William Ellsworth and Mary Polly Dolbier. Benjamin Ellsworth married Vesta A. Dodge, daughter of William Warren Dodge and Cynthia Pratt, circa 1860 at Maine. Benjamin Ellsworth married Emma Georgiana Campbell on 27 November 1865 at Rochester, Minnesota.² Benjamin Ellsworth died on 20 March 1890 at Utica, Winona Co., Minnesota, at age 63.^1,2 He was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Utica, Winona Co., Minnesota.¹

Benjamin Ellsworth, who died here on the 20th of March, of paralysis, at the age of 63 years and 8 months, was born the son of a farmer, in Salem, Maine, where he grew to manhood.

At the age of 24 years he went to California and tried life in the gold mines. He remained there six years with very good success, and then returned to Salem, the home of his boyhood, and married Miss Vesta Dodge, and with his wife immigrated to Waupun, Wis., where he lived three years and where his wife died. He then immigrated to Winona county in 1860 and bought the land at Utica, upon which he built up a home that any man might be proud of. During the years 1861 and 1862 he lived at Winona and dealt in grain as a buyer and shipper. In 1863 he took up his residence at Utica, built a warehouse and became a buyer and shipper, which business he followed until the wheat crop failed.

In 1866 he married Miss Emma Campbell of Utica, but formerly of Farmington, Maine. There are five children—all living—by this marriage, aged respectively 21, 17,15,12, and 6 years, who, together with their mother, deeply feel the loss of their kind and loving husband and father. He was never known to speak an unkind word to or in the presence of his family. He was a man known to be very positive in his opinions, progressive in his business pursuits, honest and just in his business, and made his own affairs the business of his life. He built up and carried on a large farm and made the raising of good stock a specialty.

His death is greatly lamented by the village and community in which he lived so long. His burial service took place at his late residence on Saturday, March 22d, and his remains were followed to his last rest by the entire population of the village and community.

     Edward Ellsworth was born on 25 March 1747 at Rowley, Essex Co., Massachusetts.¹ He was the son of Thomas Ellsworth and Lucy Hidden. Edward Ellsworth married Sarah Dickinson on 5 April 1770 at Ipswich, Essex Co., Massachusetts.¹ Edward Ellsworth married Mary Jewett on 2 March 1772.¹ Edward Ellsworth died on 1 November 1821 at age 74.^2,1 Edward Ellsworth was a shoemaker.¹
