     James Douty was born circa 1780 at Pennsylvania. He married Corrilla Harn, daughter of Caleb Harn and Sally Davis, on 9 July 1809 at Frederick Co., Maryland.1,2 James Douty died on 24 February 1847 at Carroll Co., Maryland.3,2 James Douty was a Blacksmith. Ellen Dorcas Harn Manuscript. Owned a valuable slave, Josh, who went way of underground railroad.

     James Columbus Douty was born on 31 January 1825.1,2,3 He was the son of James Douty and Corrilla Harn. James Columbus Douty died on 25 February 1907 at West Falls, Carroll Co., Maryland, at age 82. He was buried at Douty Family Cemetery, Harrisville, Carroll Co., Maryland.3 Never married.2
