Donna Rae Santistevan, 88, of Casper, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 2, 2022.

She was born to the late Joseph and Genevieve (Billie) Grubtill, on July 20, 1933, in Omaha, Nebraska. She was married to Alfredo (Fred) Santistevan in 1955 and they owned a construction business for twenty years, as well as a successful custom marble & home business in Casper, Wyoming.

Donna was passionate about her family, her garden, and drawing. She loved to dance and was a troop leader of her children's Boy Scout & Girl Scout programs. Donna was adventurous and enjoyed taking the RV to Alcova Lake, where she created her infamous "Alcova Stew" recipe.

She is survived by four children, Alfredo II (wife, Jolaine), Kathleen (husband, Ron), Christopher (wife, Elsa), and Carla Santistevan, and one sister. She is also survived by six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Donna is preceded in death by her parents, two children, Billie Jo and Joy Lee, two siblings, and her husband.

A viewing will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home from 5-7pm on Wednesday, February 9th. Her service will be held on Thursday at Newcomer Funeral Home at 11:00 am, with a burial at Oregon Trail Veteran Cemetery. A reception will follow the burial at the community hall in Evansville, Wyoming.

     Sandra K. Gucker is the daughter of Charles Gerald Gucker and Rita Katherine Suomela. Sandra K. Gucker married Earl Gene Weaver, son of Fred Weaver and Barbara Jean Detwiler, on 16 July 1973 at King Co., Washington.^1,2

     Harry Colon Gue was born on 30 July 1877 at Montgomery Co., Maryland.¹ He married Sallie Amelia Poole, daughter of George Benton Poole and Rosie Grant Lowman. Harry Colon Gue died on 20 November 1952 at age 75.¹ He was buried at Damascus United Methodist Church Cemetery, Damascus, Montgomery Co., Maryland.¹

     Harry Ralph Gue was born on 12 December 1921.¹ He was the son of Harry Colon Gue and Sallie Amelia Poole. Harry Ralph Gue married Betty A. Brightwell. Harry Ralph Gue died on 8 April 1980 at age 58.¹ He was buried at Damascus United Methodist Church Cemetery, Damascus, Montgomery Co., Maryland.¹

     Laura L. Gue is the daughter of Ronald Wayne Gue and June Elaine Norwood.

     Ronald Wayne Gue was born on 10 March 1943 at Frederick, Frederick Co., Maryland.¹ He was the son of Harry Ralph Gue and Betty A. Brightwell. Ronald Wayne Gue married June Elaine Norwood circa 1964. Ronald Wayne Gue died on 27 May 2017 at Damascus, Montgomery Co., Maryland, at age 74.¹ He was buried at Damascus United Methodist Church Cemetery, Damascus, Montgomery Co., Maryland.¹

     Ronald Wayne Gue is the son of Ronald Wayne Gue and June Elaine Norwood. Ronald Wayne Gue married Jennifer (?)

Harold Albert Guetzkow married Alice Agnes Nestaval, daughter of John Joseph Nestaval and Antonia M. Vitha, circa 1937. Harold Albert Guetzkow died on 2 December 1949 at Ramsey Co., Minnesota, at age 42. He was buried at Elmhurst Cemetery, St. Paul, Ramsey Co., Minnesota.¹

     Henry Frederick Guetzkow was born on 23 October 1858 at Pomoran, Germany.¹

Immigrated from Germany to USA in 1869. He married Minnie M. Schultz in January 1885. Henry Frederick Guetzkow died on 20 May 1946 at Nessell Twsp., Chisago Co., Minnesota, at age 87.¹ He was buried at St. Johns Cemetery, Rush City, Chisago Co., Minnesota.¹

     Patricia Ann Guetzkow is the daughter of Harold Albert Guetzkow and Alice Agnes Nestaval. Patricia Ann Guetzkow married Gregory John Johnson, son of Gunnard S. Johnson and Catherine E. Mitchell, on 29 August 1964 at Ramsey Co., Minnesota.

     Herbert Guggenbickler was born on 28 October 1917 at Grays Harbor Co., Washington. He married Frances May Garstad, daughter of Rasmus Benhardus Garstad and Alfrieta Perkins, on 7 June 1938 at Pacific Co., Washington. Herbert Guggenbickler and Frances May Garstad were divorced before 1950 at Washington. Herbert Guggenbickler died on 25 August 1980 at Grays Harbor Co., Washington, at age 62.

     Joyce Guild is the daughter of Cecil E. Guild and Evelyn Larue Stem. Joyce Guild married male Houck.

     Lois Anita Guild was born on 28 August 1930 at Hagerstown, Washington Co., Maryland.¹ She was the daughter of Cecil E. Guild and Evelyn Larue Stem. Lois Anita Guild married Curtis Gay Reaves. Lois Anita Guild died on 30 July 1984 at Carroll County General Hospital, Westminster, Carroll Co., Maryland, at age 53.¹ She was buried at Taylorsville United Methodist Church Cemetery, Taylorsville, Carroll Co., Maryland.¹

     Catherine Guion was born circa 1773.¹ She was the daughter of Louis Guion and Elizabeth Rappelye. Catherine Guion died before 1880.¹ 1842 lived Flushing, L.I., NY.

     Louis Guion married Elizabeth Rappelye on 3 January 1771.

     Rachel E. Gunn was born on 16 September 1864.¹ She married James W. Fleming, son of William Fleming and Rachel Rebecca Harn, on 7 February 1882 at Carroll Co., Maryland. Rachel E.      Edward Gunther was born on 5 September 1942 at Alberta, Stevens Co., Minnesota.¹ He was the son of Herman Joseph Gunther and Norene Frances Perkins. Edward Gunther died on 26 February 1943 at Alberta, Stevens Co., Minnesota.¹ He was buried at Calvary Cemetery, Morris, Stevens Co., Minnesota.¹

     Elvie Mildred Gunther was also known as Gauther. She was born on 22 October 1889 at Penn Twsp., Cass Co., Michigan. She married Milo Alvin Mock, son of Ira Mock and Julia Stuard, on 26 November 1910 at St. Joseph Co., Indiana. Elvie Mildred Gunther married Charles Lloyd Aldrich on 6 November 1925 at La Porte, LaPorte Co., Indiana. Elvie Mildred Gunther died on 6 February 1938 at Portage, St. Joseph Co., Indiana, at age 48.¹ She was buried on 9 February 1938 at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Mishawaka, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.¹

     Geraldine Eloise Gunther also went by the name of Gerry. She was born on 6 December 1936 at Morris, Stevens Co., Minnesota.^1,2 She was the daughter of Herman Joseph Gunther and Norene Frances Perkins. Geraldine Eloise Gunther married Dale Joseph Anderson Anderson on 4 June 1956 at Morrison Co., Minnesota. Geraldine Eloise Gunther died on 1 May 2025 at age 88.¹ She was buried on 9 May 2025 at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, Morrison Co., Minnesota.¹

Obituary for Gerry Anderson
December 6 1936 - May 1 2025

Gerry is preceded in death by her husband Dale, daughter Gale, parents Herman & Noreen Gunther, Brother John and several brother and sister in-laws.

Gerry is survived by children: Susan, Gordy (Marcia), Ed, Jean and Joe. 6 grandkids and 3 great-grand children. Also sister Mary, sister in law Mary Ruth (Glynn) brother in law Bruce (Sonia). And many nieces and nephews.

Gerry was born in Morris, Mn and when they moved to the Como Park area in St Paul she attended grade school at St Andrews and High School at St Agnes. She then went to Nursing school in Little Falls where she met her husband Dale, and got married in 1956.

Mom was a very busy lady in the prime of her life. She was an LPN and worked nights at Midway Hospital, usually in the cardiac care unit. When she would get home in the morning she would get 6 kids up and fed and off to school and then turning her attention to the laundry, dishes, changing bedsheets, constantly grocery shopping, and all the other things that go with being a wife, mom & homemaker. Then after supper she'd go to bed for a few hours, wake up and go to work to repeat it all over again.

For a few years they had a cabin on Lake Pokegama in Pine City so she had a second place to maintain. Opening it for the season wasn't one of her favorite things to do with getting rid of insects and rodents that wintered inside the trailer and then there was putting in the dreaded dock. Once that was all done she was able to enjoy the season!

One strong memory I have is she was pregnant with child #6 and it was a hot summer so she packed up the 5 of us and took us to the beach at lake Josephine. It seems like we were there most of the day and when it was time to leave she gathered us all up and all the towels, coolers and clothing. When we got to the car it had a flat tire! This was before cell phones but somehow she got a hold of my dad and we got to go back to the beach until he could come rescue her. She never showed any sign of anger or angst just resignation.

Mom welcomed many domestic and exotic animals into her home without a complaint about the extra work in vacuuming and laundry. She never verbally expressed a love for animals, but her actions sure showed it. We always had dogs, cats, rats, gerbils, hamsters, birds & bunny rabbits and as we got older, fostered young cougars, lions, Kinkajou's & Wooly monkeys. Then she did "Doggie Day Care" every weekday when the beloved "Goofy" moved with daughter Sue.

When the Grandma stage began she loved getting the grand-kids and taking them out and about on adventures. Unfortunately that stage didn't last as long as it should have. She had her Brain aneurysm August 22, 1993. She had 2 more aneurysms while still in the hospital and this resulted in being intubated much too long and she developed scar tissue in her vocal cords/throat so much so that she couldn't get enough air past the scar tissue so she had to have a permanent tracheostomy.

This was the start of 32 years of carrying a heavy cross and being dependent on others for everything, but again her acceptance of whatever life throws at her was no match for her strong faith which was a true lamp on hill for all to see. Her trust in Gods plan for her trumped any self pity, anger or despair that other people might fall into.

Smiling, always smiling Gerry! I never, ever heard her say anything bad about anyone! She loved everyone and everyone loved her, many considered her a "second mom".

Thank you Lord for blessing us, for borrowing us such a vessel of Love, to show us how it (love) is done.

Mass of Christian Burial wIll be on Friday, May 9th, 2025 at 11 AM with a visitation beginning at 10 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1250 South Shore Dr., Forest Lake.
Graveside service will be Monday, May 12th 10 AM at the Minnesota Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.

John Gunther married Jacquelyn Feske on 6 April 1979 at Codington Co., South Dakota. John Gunther and Jacquelyn Feske were divorced on 23 April 1982 at Ramsey Co., Minnesota. John Gunther died in May 2016 at Mazatlan, Mazatlan Municipality, Sinalo, Mexico, at age 77.¹ He was cremated.¹

     Mary Ellen Gunther is the daughter of Herman Joseph Gunther and Norene Frances Perkins. Mary Ellen Gunther married William J. Dorrain on 4 January 1964 at Ramsey Co., Minnesota.

     Edith Annie Gustafson was born in 1881 at Sweden. She married Frank Sussman on 12 December 1909 at King Co., Washington. Edith Annie Gustafson and Frank Sussman were divorced before 1920 at Washington. Edith Annie Gustafson married George H. North circa 1920. Edith Annie Gustafson died on 26 January 1959 at Tacoma, Pierce Co., Washington.

     Denise Ann Guy married George Wesley Rissler Jr., son of George Wesley Rissler and Christa Jean Bumpass, in 1989.¹ Denise Ann Guy and George Wesley Rissler Jr. were divorced.
