Anna Eleanor Nestaval was born on 26 February 1883 at Montgomery, Le Sueur Co., Minnesota.2,3 She was the daughter of Joseph Nestaval and Anna Factor. Anna Eleanor Nestaval married Frank Michael Kaisersatt, son of Thomas J. Kaisersatt and Katrina Havel, on 6 July 1905 at St. Paul, Ramsey Co., Minnesota.4,5,6 Anna Eleanor Nestaval died on 20 April 1916 at Pokegama Tuberculosis Sanatorium, Pokegama, Pine Co., Minnesota, at age 33.7
Following from The Faribault Republican Newspaper of 21Apr1916 Friday, page 6 column 2.
Mrs. Anna Nestaval Kaisersatt, wife of County Auditor Kaisersatt, died Thursday evening at the sanitarium at Pokegama, where she has been a patient for the last six months. She had been ill with a serious throat trouble for two or three years. Everything possible had been done, but nothing availed. Leaves little daughter motherless. For a year the family had been apprehensive that she could not recover, it being feared that she could not overcome the malady which resisted the best medical skill that could be procured, and it having been found no climatic change was beneficial. In recent weeks it was apparent that she could not long survive, and a month ago Mr. Kaisersatt and her father and mother were called to her bedside. She rallied, and was better for a little time, but within the last week no hope was held out. Mr. Kaisersatt received a message barely in time to catch the 11:40 Milwaukee train Thursday, but it was not known whether he reached his destination before her death or not. About 9 o'clock Thursday night he phoned the sad news back to Faribault.
Mrs. Kaisersatt was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Nestavel [sic], who live near Montgomery. Both father and mother survive, and there are six sisters, one brother and one step-brother. The sisters are Mrs. Thomas Skluzacek of Lonsdale, Mrs. Elizabeth Hubbard, who has been in Faribault during the past winter, and the Misses Rose, Beatrice, Stella, and Genevieve. Edward lives near Montgomery and the step-brother, Frank Nestaval, lives at Salida, Colorado. Mrs. Kaisersatt leaves, besides her husband, one little daughter, Harriet, who has been staying with her grandparents since the mother's absence from home. J.F. McCarthy went to Pokegama Friday morning, and with Mr. Kaisersatt, will accompany the body to Faribault. They are expected to arrive Friday night, and announcement of the funeral will be made Saturday. Burial will be made at Maple Lawn.7
She was buried at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota.3 Anna Eleanor Nestaval was a Catholic.
Pokegama Tuberculosis Sanatorium was located on the outskirts of Pine City, Minnesota. "Pokegama catered to patients who could pay their own way. Rates per week ranged from $30 to $50. When the county sanatoriums opened, their rates ranged from free for the indigent person to $7 for those who could pay. Pokegama also furnished electric blankets for each bed, rather than the five to 10 woolen blankets issued at the county institutions".

MRS NESTAVAL DENIES CHARGES OF HUSBAND
Mrs. Euphemla Nestaval will not let her husband, Frank Nestaval, former Salida mail carrier, have a divorce without a contest. Mr. Nestaval filed suit for divorce in Minneapolis and she says this action was filed before her husband filed suit in Iowa, an account of which appeared in the Omaha Bee, was republished in The Mail. Calvin Waters is named as a corespondent by Mr. Nestaval, concern which Mrs. Nestaval writes; “I knew Mr. Waters as I knew all of the merchants of Salida while a resident there, but no better, and I have never corresponded directly, or indirectly, with Mr. Waters, nor heard from him since coming to Minneapolis, where I have resided continously since leaving Salida, nearly three years ago, nor had Mr. Nestaval made any charges against us until after I had started a divorce action in Minneapolis on the grounds of cruel and inhuman treatment. "I left Mr Waters on account of his brutal abuse of me and because he threatened my life. I had papers served on him at Council Bluffs, la. Mr. Nestaval has not filed answer to my complaint In Minneapolis nor has he sent me a copy of his complaint, although two letters have been addressed to his attorney requesting a copy. ‘I shall contest his false charges at Council Bluffs. “1 have a great many friends In Salida and I feel that if I were silent on his charges, it might be taken by some as an admission on my part of their truth.

A CORRECTION
In an article published last Friday in The Mail regarding the divorce action of the Nestavals, Mrs. Euphemla Nestaval is quoted as saying "I left Mr. Waters on account of his brutal abuse of me and because he threatened my life." The name of Mr. Waters was here printed in error instead of Mr. Nestaval, and Mrs. Nestaval’s letter was incorrectly quoted. Mrs. Nestaval denied all the changes made against her by her husband in his divorce complaint.
