Obituary for Russell Eugene Ruple:
Russell E. Ruple "Buss" 1922 ~ 2007 Russell E Ruple returned to his Father in Heaven Christmas morning with family by his side. He was born in Elkhart, Indiana on December 10, 1922 to John and Mable Ruple. We were all so proud to call him our father, our friend and a husband. He taught us love, respect, honor for self, family and country. There was never a task to small or large to overcome. He could talk for hours about his beloved "Cubbies" and with a growing love for his adopted Texas Rangers. He was so proud of serving his country during World War II; participating in the EAME Theater, earning Three Bronze Stars. He was a champion of understanding current events with politics always being a lively discussion. Many lunches were spent deliberating with friends at the Elks Club, where he was a Charter Member. Buss is survived by his wife of 58 years, Bernadette, his two sons and beloved daughter in-law, Dennis, Larry and Diana, his twin sister, Helen, five grandchildren Mandi, Nikki, Joshua, Matthew and Christopher, two great-grandsons Aiden and Nathaniel. Preceded in death by his mother, father, four brothers and sister: Harold, Carl, Bernice, Warren and Robert. We will Miss him Always. Love and Cherish him Forever Online condolences may be made at www.larkinmortuary.com.
