Thelma K. Harn, 91, of “Harnsville” in Lewistown, passed away at 8:08 pm Monday July 3, 2023 at Graham Hospital in Canton.

She was born November 18, 1931 at Smithfield, the daughter of Otis and Zora (VanOrder) Wilcoxen. She married George S. Harn on November 18, 1950 at Lewistown. He died July 9, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Georgia Griffin, and two sisters. Survivors include three sons, Daryl Harn of Tarpon Springs, FL; Scott Harn of Tarpon Springs, FL; Kevin Harn of Lewistown, two daughters, Kathy Kruzan of Lewistown, and Brenda (Jim) Nicholson of Lewistown, seven grandchildren, Angela (Andrew) Gamsby of Clearwater, FL; Stephanie Myers of Galesburg, Sonya (Nick) Smith of Lewistown, Brooke McBride of Canton, Whitney (Joseph) Dudek of Nashville, IL; Christopher Harn of Canton, and Isaac (Kelsey) Harn of Campton, KY; several great grandchildren, several step grandchildren, two brothers, Richard (Pauline) Wilcoxen of Canton, Clifford Wilcoxen of Columbia, South America, and two sisters, Ruth Pierson of Havana, and Shelba Beck of Lewistown.

Thelma had worked as an aid at the former Clarytona Nursing Home in Lewistown, and as a school crossing guard for many years along with her husband. She was a lifetime member of the Lewistown VFW Post 5001 Auxiliary.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am Friday July 7, 2023 at Oak Hill Cemetery with Darla Henderson officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to Lewistown VFW Post 5001 or Clayberg Nursing Home. Condolences may be made at henrylange.com

Lester Lee Wilkenson died on 16 January 2010 at Sumner, Pierce Co., Washington, at age 85.

Mrs. S.H. Purdy died last night, at 11 o'clock, at her home on East avenue. Mrs. Purdy was born in the state of New York in April, 1819, and was therefore 79 years old. She has been a resident of this county for thirty-four years. Her husband and one son, David Purdy, of Burnside, remain to mourn her death. She was a woman held in high esteem by a host of friends for her many admirable traits of heart and mind. Her death will be sincerely mourned. The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon, at 1:30 o'clock at Christ church, Rev. C.H. Plummer, of Lake City, will officiate.³ Obituary notice says born in April 1819.
