SPOKANE - Wesley Thomas Vert, Jr., 67, of Spokane, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, in Spokane. He was born March 2, 1950, in Portland, Oregon, to Wesley Sr. and Madge Vert. He graduated high school at Polson High School in Polson. He joined the U.S. Air Force and served for over 20 years and retired as a Senior Master Sergeant. While in the Air Force he earned both his bachelors and master's degrees. On June 14, 1986, he married Sadie Vert in Spokane and together they had one son, Wesley III. He enjoyed spending time with loved ones and especially loved spending time at Flathead Lake in Polson. He was a passionate sports fan and enjoyed watching football and Gonzaga basketball. Wesley was a devoted member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes. He is survived by his wife Sadie Vert; only son Wesley Vert III; his parents Wesley Vert Sr. and Madge Vert; brothers Steve and Chris and a sister Tami Avison. Visitation will be Monday and Tuesday, 10 a.m.-5p.m., at Heritage Funeral Home in Spokane and a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at The Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes, 1115 W. Riverside Ave., Spokane. Interment with the Rite of Committal will be held on Thursday, Sept. 21, at 10 a.m. at the Lakeview Cemetery, Polson, with full military honors. POLSON - Wesley Thomas Vert Sr., age 94, passed away on March 6, 2019, in Polson. Wes was born to Clarence and Julia Vert on June 24, 1924, in Big Arm. He graduated from Polson High School and joined the Navy. After two years in the Navy, Wes moved to Portland, Oregon, and attended aeronautics school and then joined the Air Force which he made his career for 21 years. He met and married Madge Elaine Voorhies on June 6, 1947. Their marriage was blessed with four children. He was ordained a Deacon in the Catholic Church and ministered to many people, and touched so many lives over a course of 25 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Wesley Thomas Vert Jr. (Tom), and seven brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Madge, daughter Tami (Ken) Avison of Polson, sons Steve Vert of Polson, and Chris Vert of Seattle, daughter-in-law Sadie Vert of Minnesota and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A rosary will be held Sunday, March 10 at 7 p.m. and a funeral mass will be Monday, March 11 at 11 a.m., all at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Polson.      Annabelle Muriel Vesey was born on 5 July 1912 at Warren, Trumbull Co., Ohio.¹ She married Eugene Ellsworth Harn, son of Edgar Harn and Edna Beryl Gadd. Annabelle Muriel Vesey died on 11 April 1997 at Massillon, Stark Co., Ohio, at age 84.¹ She was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Warren, Trumbull Co., Ohio.¹
