While in the Air Force he earned both his bachelors and master's degrees. On June 14, 1986, he married Sadie Vert in Spokane and together they had one son, Wesley III. He enjoyed spending time with loved ones and especially loved spending time at Flathead Lake in Polson. He was a passionate sports fan and enjoyed watching football and Gonzaga basketball. Wesley was a devoted member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes. He is survived by his wife Sadie Vert; only son Wesley Vert III; his parents Wesley Vert Sr. and Madge Vert; brothers Steve and Chris and a sister Tami Avison. Visitation will be Monday and Tuesday, 10 a.m.-5p.m., at Heritage Funeral Home in Spokane and a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at The Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes, 1115 W. Riverside Ave., Spokane. Interment with the Rite of Committal will be held on Thursday, Sept. 21, at 10 a.m. at the Lakeview Cemetery, Polson, with full military honors. Messages of condolence and memories may be sent to the family online by visiting lakefuneralhomeandcremation.com. Local funeral arrangements have been entrusted to The Lake Funeral Home and Crematory, Polson.
