JoAnn Popelka graduated in 1945 at Faribault High School, Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota.¹ She graduated at St. Mary's Nursing School, Rochester, Olmsted Co., Minnesota, Registered Nurse degree.¹ She married Jerome David Jasinski Sr. on 1 October 1949 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota.^2,1 JoAnn Popelka lived in 2006 at Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota.² She died on 2 August 2017 at Homestead Hospice House, Owatonna, Steele Co., Minnesota, at age 90.¹ She was buried on 10 August 2017 at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota.¹

JoAnne Jasinski, age 90 of Faribault, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at the Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna following an extended illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 10:30 am at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, in Faribault. Interment will be held at the St. Lawrence Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N. in Faribault on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to services.

The family prefers that memorials be directed to Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Faribault Area Hospice or the Jasinski Family Endowment Fund at South Central College in memory of JoAnne.

JoAnne, the daughter of Charles and Gertrude (Mape) Popelka, was born on June 28, 1927 in Ostrander, MN. Her family would move to Faribault and JoAnne attended Faribault High School and graduated with the class of 1945. After high school, she attended St. Mary's Nursing School in Rochester, MN and received her Registered Nurse degree. JoAnne returned to Faribault and began working as a Nurse. On October 1, 1949 she was united in marriage to Jerome Jasinski Sr. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. After their marriage, JoAnne stayed at home to raise their growing family and also did private nursing for people. When their children were off at school JoAnne returned to nursing at the District One Hospital and later at the Faribault Regional Center. JoAnne was also involved in the operation of the family business, Grampa Al's and worked in the Pro Shop at the Faribault Golf Club, where she was the longest continuous member until her death. Jerry preceded her in death on Feb. 9, 2006. JoAnne was an active member at Divine Mercy Catholic Church as a Befriender, Rosary Society and Communion Minister. She was a member of the Keller Club, received designation as an Unsung Hero from the Faribault Daily News and enjoyed playing Bridge and golfing, where she was a former club champion.

She is survived by six children, Jamie (Ted) Erickson, Jim (April) Jasinski, Julie "Judy" Harn (Jerry Winbush), Jenny Jasinski-Krantzberg (Terry Schmidt), Jerome Jr. "Jake" Jasinski and John Jasinski (Shan), all of Faribault, MN; by eleven grandchildren, Andy Erickson, Lizzy (Andy) Burke, Grady Harn, Hailey (Erick) Warner, Hattie Harn, Sarah Jasinski, Joe Jasinski, Sam Jasinski, Jacie Jasinski, Nell Ernste and Eli Jasinski; by three great grandchildren; by her siblings, John "JP" Popelka of Casper, WY and Karen "Kayo" (Jim) Lang of Burnsville, MN; by her brother-in-law, Don (Marie) Jasinski of Faribault, MN and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, great granddaughter, Hazel, sister, Dorthea "Sis" Claesgens and three brothers, Robert, Vance and Chuck Popelka.

     G.P. Porter was born on 21 September 1939.¹ He was the son of Guy Porter and Velta Anderson.¹ G.P. Porter married female (?)¹ G.P. Porter died in December 1999 at age 60.¹

     Guy Porter was born on 29 September 1917.¹ He married Velta Anderson, daughter of James Frank Anderson and Nellie Mae (?).¹ Guy Porter died on 5 November 2007 at age 90.¹

     Hester Hattie Porter was born on 27 December 1861 at Pennsylvania.² She was born circa 1862 at Pennsylvania 58 years old in the 1920 census. She married John Morgan Harn, son of John Harn and Elizabeth King, in October 1887.¹ Hester Hattie Porter died in 1933. She died on 4 December 1933 at Luzerne Twsp., Fayette Co., Pennsylvania, at age 71.² She was buried at Redstone Cemetery, Brownsville, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.²

Kenneth Eugene Porter married Leslie Joan Glassner on 1 October 1945 at Lebanon, Lebanon Co., Pennsylvania. Kenneth Eugene Porter died on 1 February 1980 at Portage Co., Ohio, at age 68.

     Lillian Katherine Porter was born on 1 May 1910 at Houston, Harris Co., Texas.¹ She married Freeman Emmant Perkins, son of Dr. Burton Thomas Perkins and Jennie Scott. Lillian Katherine Porter died on 4 April 1994 at Muleshoe, Bailey Co., Texas, at age 83.¹ She was buried at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, Houston, Harris Co., Texas.¹
