     Thornton Fleming Harn was born on 11 September 1845 at Pennsylvania.^1,2,3 He was the son of Richard William Harn and Lucretia Whittaker. Thornton Fleming Harn married Margaret Esther Molter circa 1864. Thornton Fleming Harn died on 4 September 1917 at Bridgewater, Beaver Co., Pennsylvania, at age 71.³ He was buried at Beaver Cemetery & Mausoleum, Beaver, Beaver Co., Pennsylvania.³ Thornton listed as 14 years old in the 1860 census. He lived in March 1914 at Bridgewater, Beaver Co., Pennsylvania.⁴

Thornton Fleming Harn II married Phoebe Laura Dayton, daughter of Oscar Dayton and Delilah (?), on 10 September 1878 at Beloit, Mitchell Co., Kansas. Thornton Fleming Harn II died on 4 February 1933 at Scottsville, Mitchell Co., Kansas, at age 76.¹ He was buried circa February 1933 at Scottsville Cemetery, Scottsville, Mitchell Co., Kansas.³ Thornton Fleming Harn II was a Baptist.

The following obituary was taken from The Beloit Gazette newspaper (Kansas), 08 Feb 1933, pg 8, column 2-3.
Thornton Fleming Harn was born January 17, 1857 at Moravia, Iowa. At the age of 17 he came to Mitchell county, Kansas and for a few years lived on a small farm in the edge of Scottsville and later moved into town where he owned and operated a general store for 35 years. On October 9, 1878 he was married to Lora Phoebe Dayton at Beloit and to them were born three children: Mary Ellen West and Sadie Alice Carter of Concordia and Earl Eaden Harn of Murphysboro, Ill.
As a lad Mr. Harn became a member of the Baptist church of Scottsville and here retained his membership until the church was disbanded then he moved his membership to the First Baptist church of Concordia where it remained until his death which occurred at four o'clock in the morning of Feb. 4, 1933 in the 77th year of his life.
For many years he was a member of the Masonic order of Scottsville. He leaves besides his widow and three children, four grandchildren and one brother, H.M. Harn of Stockton, Kansas; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Pence of Moravia, Iowa. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W.R. Holt, of Concordia on Sunday afternoon at 2:39 at the home in Scottsville and burial was in the Scottsville cemetery.

     Tiffany Ann Harn is the daughter of Daniel Orand Harn and Mary Susan Moore.

     Tommy Ray Harn was born on 28 May 1946 at Canton, Fulton Co., Illinois.² He was the son of Raymond Eugene Harn and Frances Charlene Brinegar.¹ Tommy Ray Harn died on 30 May 1946 at Canton, Fulton Co., Illinois.² He was buried on 31 May 1946 at Lewistown, Fulton Co., Illinois.²

     Toni Marie Harn is the daughter of Keith Lawrence Harn and Beverly Anne Duffy.

     Trebert Sloan Harn was born on 13 June 1889 at Fulton Co., Illinois.¹ He was the son of Albert Malin Harn and Minnie Mae Heflin. Trebert Sloan Harn married Margaret E. Stuart in 1909. Trebert Sloan Harn died on 30 November 1955 at Peoria, Peoria Co., Illinois, at age 66.¹ He was buried at Harris Cemetery, Adair, McDonough Co., Illinois.¹

     Tyler Duval Harn was born on 2 December 1863 at Rose Hill, Harris Co., Texas.¹ He was the son of William Tyler Duval Harn and Mary Agnes Duer. Tyler Duval Harn was born on 2 December 1864 at Rose Hill, Harris Co., Texas.² He died circa 30 December 1893.¹ Tyler Duval Harn was a Railroad. The cause of death was he accidentally shot himself.

     Vera Colleen Harn is the daughter of Collie Camp Harn Jr. and Lillie Elvera Frederickson. Vera Colleen Harn married John Douglas Summers on 30 November 1951 at Travis Co., Texas.¹ Vera Colleen Harn and John Douglas Summers were divorced on 29 October 1971 at Travis Co., Texas.

     Verdie Ulallah Harn was born on 11 December 1870 at Carroll Co., Maryland.¹ She was the daughter of George Washington Harn and Catherine Molesworth. Verdie Ulallah Harn married Charles Eugene Pickett on 17 March 1889.¹ Verdie Ulallah Harn died on 19 January 1945 at Taylorsville, Carroll Co., Maryland, at age 74.^2,3 She was buried at Taylorsville United Methodist Church Cemetery, Taylorsville, Carroll Co., Maryland.^2,3

     Vesta Elnora Harn was born on 10 October 1910 at Frederick, Schuyler Co., Illinois.² She was the daughter of Stephen Adrian Harn and Mary Etta Blodgett. Vesta Elnora Harn married John William Rebman on 4 February 1928. Vesta Elnora Harn died on 7 November 1987 at Salmon, Lemhi Co., Idaho, at age 77.² She was buried at City Cemetery, Salmon, Lemhi Co., Idaho.²

     Vicki Lynn Harn is the daughter of Robert Russell Harn and Patricia Mary Minniear. Vicki Lynn Harn married Sidney Morton Jett IIII on 4 October 1975 at Montgomery Co., Ohio.

Viola Harn married Lee Rosegrant in November 1922 at Phillipsburg, Phillips Co., Kansas.      Viola Mae Harn was born on 29 February 1932 at Westminster, Carroll Co., Maryland.¹ She was the daughter of Abraham Wesley Harn and Edith Ellen Ambrose. Violet May Lashbrook, 82, of Beardstown, IL passed away Sunday, January 31, 2010 at 2:54 a.m. at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. She was born on Tuesday, October 11, 1927 in Lewistown, IL the daughter of the late Onzelo & Anna Bell Ackerson Harn. She married Richard Carl Lashbrook on July 12, 1944 in Rushville, IL. He survives.

She is also survived by two daughters; Carolyn Donithan & husband Butch of Oklahoma, Mary Ellen Root & husband Dale of Rushville, two sons; Gus Alvin Lashbrook & wife Marsha of Rushville, IL, Richard Earl Lashbrook & friend, Steve Hayden of Springfield, IL, one brother; Donald Harn of Oklahoma, one sister; Doris Baker of Rushville, IL, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a great granddaughter.

Violet was a life long homemaker but also worked for a short time at the Bluebell Factory in Bushnell, Illinois.

Services were entrusted to Worthington Funeral Home of Rushville, Illinois. She lived in 1993 at Beardstown, Cass Co., Illinois; when mother died.³

     Virginia Rebecca Harn also went by the name of Ginny. She was born on 27 July 1929 at York, York Co., Pennsylvania.¹ She was the daughter of Abraham Wesley Harn and Edith Ellen Ambrose. Virginia Rebecca Harn married Kermit Paul Foor Sr. on 16 December 1946 at Cumberland, Allegany Co., Maryland.² Virginia Rebecca Harn died on 22 October 2020 at Martinsburg, Blair Co., Pennsylvania, at age 91.^1,2 She was buried at Rays Cove Christian Church Cemetery, Breezewood, Bedford Co., Pennsylvania.¹


Virginia R. ‘Ginny’ Foor

Virginia R. “Ginny” Foor, 91, Homewood at Martinsburg, formerly of Altoona, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Thursday, following an extended illness.

Virginia was born in York, daughter of the late Abraham W. and Edith (Ambrose) Harn. She married Kermit P. Foor Sr. on Dec. 16, 1946, in Cumberland, Md. He preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 1985.

Surviving are sons: Larry (Michele) Foor of Winter Park, Fla., Lloyd (Carol) Foor of Bellwood, Roger (Linda) Foor of Altoona and Steven (Tracy) Foor of East Freedom; a daughter, Rebecca Foor of Orlando, Fla; 12 grandchildren: Kermit Foor III, Malcolm Foor, Crystal Clark, Lloyd Bradley Foor, Jennifer Foor, Julie Petrakis, Larry Foor Jr., Roger Foor Jr., Jessica Diehl, Garrett Snyder, Grant Snyder and Steven Zachary Foor; and many great-grandchildren.

Virginia was preceded in death by a son, Kermit P. Foor Jr; a sister, Viola Eyers; and brothers: Jim, Sonny and Pete Harn.

She was a member of Christ Community United Methodist Church and was a former member of Schum United Methodist Church.

Virginia loved to spend time gardening, making crafts, crocheting and particularly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Per Virginia’s wishes, there will be a private funeral service held at the convenience of the family, officiated by the Rev. Rebecca Holland.

Interment will be at Ray’s Cove Cemetery in Everett.

The family would like to thank the staff at Homewood at Martinsburg for the great care Virginia received.

     Vivian Marie Harn was born on 22 September 1918 at Ohio.² She was the daughter of Russell Wesley Harn and Wilma Hazel Evans.³ Vivian Marie Harn was born circa 1919 at Ohio.¹ She married Harold A. Huddleston.⁴ Vivian Marie Harn died on 10 December 2014 at Englewood, Montgomery Co., Ohio, at age 96.² She was buried at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery, Dayton, Montgomery Co., Ohio.² She graduated in 1936 at Fairview High School, Sherwood, Defiance Co., Ohio. Vivian Huddleston was alive in 2011 when her sister died.⁴

     Wade Harold Harn was born on 20 March 1902 at Illinois.¹ He was the son of Joseph Harn and Maggie C. Williams. Wade Harold Harn died on 22 July 1966 at South Dakota at age 64.¹ He was buried at Kadoka Calvary-Fairview Cemetery, Kadoka, Jackson Co., South Dakota.¹

     Wallace M. Harn was born on 27 August 1911 at East Riverside, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.¹ He was the son of Riley Adam Harn and Lillian May Crawford. Wallace M. Harn died on 21 April 1935 at Uniontown, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania, at age 23.¹ He was buried on 24 April 1935 at Oak Grove Cemetery, South Union Twsp., Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.¹

     Ward Steven Harn was born on 10 October 1915 at Union Co., Oregon.¹ He was the son of Stephen Peter Harn and Ruby Louise Lamb. Ward Steven Harn married Iola Adkins on 3 July 1934 at Walla Walla, Walla Walla Co., Washington. Ward Steven Harn married Mavis Jeaniece McCabe on 7 October 1953 at Kootenai Co., Idaho. Ward Steven Harn died on 30 January 1955 at Perham, Otter Tail Co., Minnesota, at age 39.¹ He was buried at Rockvale Cemetery, Rockvale, Carbon Co., Montana.¹

     Wayne Harn was the son of Arthur Henry Harn and Alice Fowkes.

     Wendy Harn is the daughter of Clyde Ellsworth Harn and Helena M. Shaffer. Wendy Harn married Edward Nyiri.

     Wendy Joanne Harn is the daughter of Edwin Willard Harn and Dorothy Elaine Henry.¹ Wendy Joanne Harn married Ronald Lee Hobbs on 6 September 1969 at Fairfax Co., Virginia. Wendy Joanne Harn and Ronald Lee Hobbs were divorced in March 1971 at San Bernardino Co., California. Wendy Joanne Harn married Timothy Baer.¹

     Wesley Blodgett Harn was born on 17 May 1915 at Monroe City, Marion Co., Missouri.^2,3 He was the son of Ezra Blodgett Harn and Josie Ella Jane Rouse. Wesley Blodgett Harn married Jessie Maxine Stratton on 20 March 1939 at New London, Ralls Co., Missouri.² Wesley Blodgett Harn died on 10 July 1998 at Willow Care Center, Hannibal, Marion Co., Missouri, at age 83.^2,3 He was buried at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Hunnewell, Shelby Co., Missouri.^2,3 Wesley Blodgett Harn was a Methodist. His Social Security Number was 313-12-9664. Issued in Indiana before 1951. Residence at time of death was Hunnewell, Missouri.

Wesley B. Harn, 83, OF Hunnewell and formerly of Shelby County, died at 1:30 a.m. July 10, 1998, at Willow Care Center in Hannibal. Funeral services for Mr. Harn will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Garner Funeral Chapel in Monroe City. The Rev. Ed Morrison will officiate. Burial will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Hunnewell. Mr. Harn was born May 17, 1915, in Monroe City to Ezra Blodgett and Josie Ella Rouse Harn. He was married to Jessie Maxine Stratton on March 20, 1939, in New London. She preceded him in death May 22, 1981.

Survivors include one daughter, Ada Joe Bode of Palmyra, two grandsons, Lawrence Bode of San Antonio, Texas and Lyndon Bode of Hannibal; two sisters, Rosmary Dean of Monroe City and Lucille Shivers of Lakeland, Fla. Also surviving are Jean Lavine; five step daughters, Darlene Beach and Betty Quickle, both of East Peoria, Ill., Roxanne Peterson and Gail Dobson, both of Chicago, Ill., and Dee Romaniszak of Joliet, Ill; one step son, Melvin West of Peoria; and several step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Harn and Don Harn. He attended Monroe City Schools and was a member of the Hunnewell Methodist Church. He was a retired farmer and stockman. He was an avid pony puller for many years in this area. Visitation will be from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Willow Care Center or Blessing Hospice Association. Pallbearers will be Ron Dean, Ralph Harn, Gary Harn, Steve Harn, Bob Snider and Richie Hehmyer.

     Wesley Jaleel Harn was born on 16 December 1835 at Maryland.^1,2 He was the son of Singleton Wesley Harn and Maria Cordelia Harn. Wesley Jaleel Harn married Urith Mannahan on 14 October 1858 at Frederick Co., Maryland.³ Wesley Jaleel Harn married Susanah T. Shipley circa 1875 at Liberty, Frederick Co., Maryland. Wesley Jaleel Harn died on 28 October 1916 at Linganore, Frederick Co., Maryland, at age 80. Urith and Wesley had one child that died in infancy.

Wesley Harn Jr. died on 15 October 1966 at Uniontown, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania, at age 51.^2,1 He was buried at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery, Brier Hill, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.² He lived in December 1961 at Isabella, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.³ His Social Security Number was 194-03-3289 issue in PA before 1951. The cause of death was Multiple Sclerosis.

Wesley Harn Jr. 51, died Oct. 15, 1966 at his home 159 W. Berkley St., Uniontown. He was buried in Lafayette Memorial Cemetery. He is survived by his wife Martha, son Claude of Uniontown and daughter Kathryn Jean Shumar of Grindstone, Pa. 3 grand-children, 4 sisters and 7 brothers survive.
