Vernon Perkins, 77, died Tuesday at Mission Hospital. Memorial services will be conducted Thursday at 10 a.m. at Bentsen Grove West Lounge with the Rev. Ed Gilpin officiating. The body was cremated at Valley Memorial Gardens. Born in Goodhue, Minn., the retired farmer had wintered in Mission for the past nine years. He is survived by his wife, Vivian Perkins of Mission; one son, Larry Perkins of Red Wing, Minn; two daughters, Rhoda Rusch of Goodhue and Carol Draheim of Bricelyn, Minn; two sisters, Mary Gehrman of Wayzata, Minn, and Grace Page of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; 15 grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.

W. W. PERKINS DIES SUDDENLY AT VACATION HOME
Waldo William Perkins of San Gabriel died suddenly Sunday afternoon, at his vacation home in the mountains above San Bernardino.
A native of Red Wing, Minn., Perkins was born Aug 11, 1900, and came to Porterville with his parents in 1906. Their ranch home was east of town. He was graduated from Vandalia school and attended Porterville high school. For many years he had been employed by the Bureau of Power and Light in Los Angeles. He had planned to retire this August when he reached his 65th birthday.
Survivors include his widow the former Pauline Hallford of Clinton, Miss; two daughters Mrs. Stanley Spencer of Whittier and Mrs. Bruce Stewart of San Gabriel; two granddaughters and two grandsons, his mother, Mrs. W. J. Perkins and sister, Ina of Porterville; sister Mrs. Byron Bolfing of Berkeley, brothers Neill of Clovis and Max of Los Angeles.
Funeral services were to be held this morning at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in The Little Church of the Flowers at Glendale.

Age 58, of North Huntingdon, PA, formerly of New Brighton, passed away Monday, June 3, 2024.

Born September 28, 1965, in Rochester. She was the daughter of Joan (Treglia) Perretta Clark. A graduate of New Brighton High School, The Art Institute in Pittsburgh, and Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), obtaining a Vocational Technical Education Degree for teaching. Janel found her professional home at Forbes Road Career Technical Center, where she served as an Advertising Design Instructor for over two decades.

She was past State Officer of the Pennsylvania Jaycees, officer of the Upper Beaver Valley Jaycees, and a member of the American Sewing Guild.

Whether in the classroom, among colleagues, friends or within her community, she radiated positivity and empathy, making the world a brighter place for those around her.

Preceded in death by husband, Mark Lavorini; loving partner, Sam Plazio; maternal grandfather, Tony Treglia; paternal grandmother, Annie Perretta; stepfather, Richard "Dick" Clark.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her fur babies, Bella and Baylee; four siblings, Annamarie (Mike) Perretta Rosepink, Patsy Perretta, John Paul Perretta, and Toni (Eric) Jones; father-in-law, Nello Lavorini; nieces and nephews; and niece, Lea (dog).

A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, June 20, 2024, from 5 p.m. until time of her celebration of life service at 7 p.m. in J & J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton. Rev. Gregory Clagg, officiating.

John P. Perretta, 83, of Pine Street, Beaver, PA, died Friday, August 19, 2011 at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born July 23, 1928 in New Castle, a son of the late Michael and Anne (Panella) Perretta. Mr. Perretta was a salesman for a carpet retail store for a number of years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and enjoyed dancing and going to the casino.

He is survived by six children, Anna Marie Rosepink of Beaver Falls, PA, Janel Perretta of Pittsburgh, PA, Toni Francis Jones of Wampum, PA, John P. Perretta, Jr. of New Brighton, PA, Patsy Perretta of New Brighton, PA, and Angela Brush of Virginia Beach, VA, one sister, Mary Perrotta of New Castle, PA, eleven grandchildren, and his companion, Barbara Schoozanski of Beaver, PA.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Patsy Perretta.

John Thomas Perry M.D. died on 21 August 1930 at Tulsa, Tulsa Co., Oklahoma, at age 55.^1,2 He was buried at Rose Hill Cemetery, Tulsa, Tulsa Co., Oklahoma.² He graduated at University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Washington Co., Arkansas, Medical Degree.

Dr. J.T. Perry, 55 years old, 811 North Elwood avenue, died in a Tulsa hospital yesterday morning of blood poisoning which developed from a minor scratch.
Doctor Perry, a member of the Perry clinic, has been associated with his brother, Dr. M.L. Perry, and his sons, in the medical profession here for a number of years. Born in Greenwood, Ark., Doctor Perry was educated in the schools of Arkansas and obtained his medical degree at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Doctor Perry's brother also entered the medical profession about the same time, and four of Doctor Perry's sons are now either doctors or are studying to enter the medical profession.
Doctor Perry is survived by his widow and five sons; Dr. Daniel Perry of Cushing, Dr. Hugh Perry of Brooklyn, N.Y; Ralph Perry, employee of the Skelly Oil company of Tulsa; James T. Perry, a medical student at the Washington University at St. Louis, and Fred Perry, a medical student at the University of Tulsa. He also is survived by one daughter, Louise Perry, 10 years old, of the old address, and two brothers, Dr. M.L. Perry of Tulsa and Dr. D.H. Perry of Dayton, Ark.
Funeral services will be held at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the First Baptist church, with the Rev. R.J. Bateman officiating. The members of the Masonic lodge, of which organization Doctor Perry was a member, will attend the services in a body and will have charge of the rites at the Rose Hill cemetery, where internment will be made. The Stanley and McCune Undertaking company will have charge of the services. The Reverend Bateman, pastor of the First Baptist church, has been out of the city for several days on a vacation, but members of the church succeeded in locating him yesterday and he wired that he would return to Tulsa in order to have charge of the rites for Doctor Perry. Doctor Perry recently had been named a deacon in the church.

Nancy Louise Perry was baptized circa 1926 at Tulsa, Tulsa Co., Oklahoma.² She married John Robert Harn, son of George Upton Harn III and Margaret Luella Jones, on 23 January 1943 at Tulsa, Tulsa Co., Oklahoma.² Nancy Louise Perry died on 6 December 2014 at San Antonio, Bexar Co., Texas, at age 93.^4,3 She was buried at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, Tulsa Co., Oklahoma.³ She graduated in 1942 at University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma, BA in Mathematics and French.⁵ She lived at 6721 S. 66th E. N. Louise Harn, ‘42 BA Mathematics/French. Harn worked in the field of geophysical computing during WWII, 1942-1945. She taught mathematics in the Tulsa Public School system until 1981. The family includes daughters Kathryn Harn (‘68 BA Music Education) and Nancy Harn (‘72 BA Psychology), and son William Robert Harn (‘76 BBA Business). Her husband, John Robert Harn, passed away in 1995.⁵

She lived in July 2000 at 20450 Huebner Road, Apt 11102, San Antonio, Bexar Co., Texas. She lived in July 2008 at San Antonio, Bexar Co., Texas.⁶

Nancy Louise Perry Harn entered this earth on Christmas Eve 1920 and left on December 6, 2014, just days short of her 94th birthday. She was delivered by her father, Dr. J.T. Perry in the front bedroom of the family home in Tulsa, and then placed in a bassinet next to the Christmas tree as a present to her five big brothers - who ranged in age from ten to twenty.

Nancy, or Louise, as she was known by many, graduated from the University of Oklahoma where she was an active member in Alpha Chi Omega. She married the love of her life, John Robert Harn, raised three kids, worked weekly with youth at Tulsa First Baptist Church, and taught junior high school math for over 25 years. She somehow also found time for hospital volunteer work. Upon her husband's death in 1995 Louise moved to San Antonio and joined Parkhills Baptist Church where she attended regularly until 13 days before her passing.

In addition to her husband, Louise was preceded in death by: an infant daughter; her parents, Dr. J.T. Perry and Edith Louise McCullough Perry; five brothers, Dr. Dan (Madge) Perry, Dr. Hugh (Lois) Perry, Ralph (Norma) Perry, Dr. James (Christine) Perry, and Dr. Fred (Elizabeth) Perry.

She is survived by: two daughters, Kathryn Louise Harn of DeLand Fla., and Nancy Lois Harn (Richard) Moser of San Antonio; son, William Robert (Susan) Harn of Broken Arrow; six grandchildren, Hilary (Jeremy) Smithee of Broken Arrow, William Robert, Jr. (Bethel) Harn of Broken Arrow, John McCullough (Trinidy) Harn of Broken Arrow, Kathryn (Zachary) Parrish of Puyallup, Wash., Jason Catts of St. Augustine, Fla., Adriane (Roddy) Matthews of Crown Point Ind; and 16 great-grandchildren.
