     Andrew Howard Bloom was born on 30 August 1919 at Elk River, Clearwater Co., Idaho.¹ He married Florence Eugenia Perkins, daughter of Luther Homer Perkins and Eppie Lela Payne, in 1942.      Luella Blume was born on 31 January 1905 at Medford, Steele Co., Minnesota. She married Harland Bonnell Rasmussen, son of Alfred Rasmussen and Minnie Hartwig, on 11 November 1927 at Nashua, Chickasaw Co., Iowa. Luella Blume died on 24 December 1976 at Rice Co., Minnesota, at age 71.

     Charles Edward Boice is the son of Kenneth D. Boice and Rose Kathryn Van Epps.

     Donald Francis Boice is the son of Francis Norris Boice and Helen Benfield Trumbull.

     Ethel Beatrice Boice was born on 26 June 1921 at South Shore Co., South Dakota.^1,2 She was the daughter of Norris Keith Boice and Celestine B. Tracey. Ethel Beatrice Boice married Arnold Orville Lund on 12 June 1946 at Lake Co., Montana.^3,2 Ethel Beatrice Boice died on 11 January 2004 at Kalispell, Flathead Co., Montana, at age 82.^1,2 She was buried at Highland Cemetery, Havre, Hill Co., Montana.¹ She was cremated. She lived in November 1979 at Havre, Hill Co., Montana.⁴

Ethel Boice Lund

KALISPELL - Ethel Boice Lund, 82, passed away on Jan. 11, 2004, at Brendan House in Kalispell.
She was born in South Shore, S.D., in her grandparents' house on the farm. The family lived in Circle and were visiting. In November, they moved to Ronan, eventually ending up in Reservoir Valley where Ethel finished the eighth grade in the country school. She then went on to Polson for two years and graduated from high school at St. Matthews in Kalispell.
She went to Seattle to work at Boeing where she met her future husband, Arnold Lund, who was from Havre. They were married June 12, 1946. Immediately after the honeymoon they went to the wheat farm north of Havre. To this union five children were born: Jeanne (Carl), Sharon (Harry), Allen, Larry (Connie) Lund and Stanley (Mickey) Lund. Allen was killed in a trucking accident in 1980 at the age of 29. That same year Ethel and Arn moved into Havre.
Her parents Norris and Mary (Polly) Boice, brother Frank Boice and sister Florence Schmitz preceded her in death. Surviving are two sisters, Margaret Coulter and Marion D'Arcy.
Ethel loved to cook and was a 4- H Club leader. She always was quite competitive; she won many blue ribbons for her bread, cakes and pies, plus her canning. For the past year and a half the Lunds have been living with their daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Harry Wood, at Woods Bay. When we think of Ethel it is always with a smile.

Florence Evelyn Boice married Phillip John Schmitz on 6 June 1945 at Ronan, Lake Co., Montana.^2,3 Florence Evelyn Boice died on 18 November 1987 at Ronan, Lake Co., Montana, at age 68.^1,2 She was buried on 23 November 1987 at Ronan Cemetery, Ronan, Lake Co., Montana.¹ She graduated in 1938 at Polson High School, Polson, Lake Co., Montana.² She lived in November 1979 at Ronan, Lake Co., Montana.⁴ The cause of death was Metastatic carcinoma of the colon.

Florence Evelyn Schmitz

RONAN - Florence Evelyn Schmitz, 68, of Ronan, died of cancer Wednesday, Nov. 18, at her home.
She was born March 24, 1919, in Glendive, to Norris and Mary Boice. She graduated from Polson High School in 1938. She attended beauty school in Bozeman and owned and operated a beauty salon in Ronan.
She was active in the Sacred Heart Parish, the Altar Aocicty, the Right to Life group and the Cursillo movement. She was a member of the North Crow Creek Flower Club, Home Demonstration Club and the 4-H Club.
She married Philip John Schmitz June 6, 1945.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Frank, a grand- son Robbie Schmitz, and her husband, Phil, in June 1985.
She is survived by a son, Phillip Schmitz, Ronan; four daughters, Cherryl Taylor, Helena; Delores Eide, Port Orchard, Wash; Barbara Schmidt, Broadwater, Neb; and Sheila Conner, Ronan; 10 grandchildren; and three sisters: Ethel Lund, Havre; Margaret Coulter, Charlo; and Marion D'Arcy, Butte.
Rosary was recited Sunday at 7 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, 11 a.m., at the church, with the Rev. William Waggenor as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Ronan. Memorials may be made to the Bread Basket, in care of the Valley Bank or the Ronan State Bank, Ronan; or to Big Brothers and Sisters, in care of Ronan State Bank.
Arrangements are under the direction of Shrider's Mortuary.

Francis Norris Boice and Helen Benfield Trumbull were divorced on 13 June 1957 at Billings, Yellowstone Co., Montana, Grounds listed were Desertion. Helen Boice is awarded custody and control of minor children: Kenneth Boice age 15; Donald Boice age 14; Lawrence Boice age 8.

Francis N. Boice, 63

Rosary was Saturday night in Granada, Calif., for Francis N. Boice, 63, brother of Marion D'Arcy of Butte. Mr. Boice died Sept. at his home in Granada.

He was born in Weldon, July 19, 1917, to Norris and Mary Boice. He graduated from Polson High School and received a degree in electrical engineering from Montana State University in Bozeman. Worked for Boeing Aircraft in Seattle and later for Lockheed Aircraft in Calif. He took an early retirement because of poor health and moved to Granada.

Surviving are his wife, Ollie, in Granada; sons, Kenneth of Rochester.N.Y., Donald of Shoreview, Minn., and Capt. Larry Boice of Salinas, Calif; sisters, Florence Schmitz of Ronan, Ethel Lund of Havre, Margaret Coulter of Charlo and Marion D'Arcy of Butte. His mother died in November, 1979, and his father died in August, 1980.

     Margaret Eileen Boice also went by the name of Marg. She was born on 13 September 1923 at Circle, McCone Co., Montana.¹ She was the daughter of Norris Keith Boice and Celestine B. Tracey. Margaret Eileen Boice married Neal Kurtz Coulter on 14 June 1943 at Lake Co., Montana. Margaret Eileen Boice died on 13 December 2012 at Lake Co., Montana, at age 89. She was buried at Ronan Cemetery, Ronan, Lake Co., Montana.¹ She graduated in 1941 at Polson High School, Polson, Lake Co., Montana. She lived in November 1979 at Charlo, Lake Co., Montana.²

Margaret Coulter, 89

Margaret Coulter, 89, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, joined the angels early Thursday morning, Dec. 13, 2012. Margaret was surrounded by her family, husband Neal; son Curt (Sandy); daughters, Connie Sills and Cathy Maher all of Charlo, Mary Pat (Rick) Leishman of Spokane, Wash., Colleen Coulter (Jim) of Helena, and Chris (Bryan) Hurd of Kalispell.

Margaret was born in Circle on Sept. 13, 1923, to parents Norris and Polly Boice. The family moved to the Mission Valley. She attended several schools in the valley, including St. Matthews High School in Kalispell. Her family settled in Valley View and she graduated from Polson High School in 1941. She met Neal Coulter at age 15 and they would meet at Grange Hall dances whenever possible. Her grandmother Tracey always made sure Margaret was never late for a date with Neal, stating "he was a keeper." Following graduation Margaret and her sisters Ethel and Flossie headed to Seattle to work at the Boeing plant during World War II. She was very proud of her contribution to the war effort.

After coming home to Montana, Margaret married the love of her life, Neal Coulter, on June 14, 1943. They began their life together in Charlo. They soon began their life of farming and raising a family of six children. Marg cooked many a meal for the hired hands and always raised a HUGE garden. After the sale of the ranch, Marg was able to spend hours planning her new gardens, ordering seeds, and digging in the dirt. Many have enjoyed her blooms throughout the summer on Highway 212. Margaret enjoyed her family and her church. She had the great ability to make all who entered her home feel welcome.

Marg was a founding member of the Mission View Garden Club and remained active until recently. She was a member of the Charlo Women's Club. In 2003, Marg and Neal were honored as Grand Marshals of the Charlo Fourth of July parade. She was active in the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women and Altar Society.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Norris and Polly (Tracey) Boice; sisters, Ethel Lund and Florence Schmitz; brother Frank Boice; and great-grandson Dillon Matthew Lipscomb. Margaret leaves behind her husband of 69 years, Neal; her six children; 18 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; sister Marion (Chuck) D'Arcy of Polson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18 in Charlo at the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will follow at 1 p.m. Dinner will be served at the Charlo Community Center following the service.
