     Barbara Jean Johnson was born on 27 March 1925 at Berkeley, Alameda Co., California.¹ She was the daughter of Rufus William Johnson II and Laura Amanda Brewer. Barbara Jean Johnson graduated in 1947 at University of California, Berkeley, Alameda Co., California.² She married William Everet Smith II, son of Dr. William Evert Smith and Anita Mary Giblin, on 18 June 1952 at Contra Costa Co., California.^3,2 Barbara Jean Johnson's email address jaybillsmith@comcast.net in October 2009.⁴ She died on 14 February 2021 at Concord, Contra Costa Co., California, at age 95.²

Barbara passed away peacefully in Concord, with her Daughters and a Granddaughter at her side. Barbara (daughter of R.W. Johnson and Laura Brewer Johnson) was born and grew up in Northern California. She went to Mt. Diablo High School and in 1947 graduated UC Berkeley. She was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority and the Berkeley Hiking Club. She Married William E. Smith of San Francisco in 1952, settled in Concord, raising a family (Stuart, Susan, Stacy and Shannon),five grand children and six great grandchildren. She loved the outdoors and was a lifetime member of the Sierra Club, founding member and 3rd president (1976) of the Mount Diablo Interpretive Association. She was a member of Save Mt. Diablo and Audubon Society. She backpacked and hiked the Yosemite backcountry, Pacific Crest Trail and most every state/national park on the west coast. She was an active member of the Concord Genealogy Society, Daughter's of the American Revolution and Mayflower Society. She loved music, opera, ballet and the symphony; played piano, recorder, autoharp, and dulcimer.
She would want us to remember her for her love of nature and support of open space.
Barbara will be returned to the elements in her favorite place on earth, the high mountains of the Sierra Nevada above Yosemite.

Johnson was born on 29 November 1887 at Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota.² He married Marjorie Maude Perkins, daughter of Marshall Timothy Perkins and Anna Rolfe Purdy, on 23 July 1913 at Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota. Clarence G. Johnson died on 15 December 1950 at St. Paul, Ramsey Co., Minnesota, at age 63.² He was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota.^3,4

Clarence G. Johnson, 63, former Red Wing resident who since leaving here had resided in St. Paul, died at a St. Paul hospital this morning. Mr. Johnson was born in Red Wing November 29, 1887, and attended grade and high schools here. He left the city about 30 years ago and since had resided in St. Paul at 1521 Grand avenue. He was engaged as a salesman for the United States Roofing company for many years. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John C. Johnson of Red Wing.
Surviving are his wife, Marjorie of St. Paul; one son, Donald W. Johnson, Red Wing; two grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Clara Anderson of Zumbrota. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at the Fred W. Johnston funeral home at 334 No. Snelling avenue, St. Paul. Committal services will be conducted at Oakwood cemetery chapel in Red Wing at 3:30 p.m. Monday.

     Donald Wayne Johnson was born on 14 September 1914 at Minneapolis, Hennepin Co., Minnesota.^2,3 He was the son of Clarence G. Johnson and Marjorie Maude Perkins. Donald Wayne Johnson was baptized circa 1915 at Minneapolis, Hennepin Co., Minnesota.⁴ Donald Wayne Johnson was a Pipefitter/retired. He married Lois Kathryn Dahlgren, daughter of Halmer Adolph Dahlgren and Adel Andrietta Johnson, on 21 September 1939 at Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota. Donald Wayne Johnson was a Lutheran. He enlisted into the Army on 06 Jun 1941.⁵ He lived in 1990 at 1115 Bush St., Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota. His Social Security Number was 471-09-9502, issued in Minnesota before 1951, lists born 14 Sep 1941, and died 13 Dec 2000, last residence of St. Cloud, Minnesota. He died on 13 December 2000 at Olmsted Co., Minnesota, at age 86.³ He was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota.³

     Doris Gertrude Johnson was born on 28 May 1928 at Washington Co., Pennsylvania.^1,2 She married Henry Thomas Harn, son of Aden Wesley Harn and Sarah Catherine Lilley, on 10 July 1950.¹ Doris Gertrude Johnson died on 8 February 1987 at Pennsylvania at age 58.^1,2 She was buried at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery, Brier Hill, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.²

     Dorothy Gustava Johnson was born on 12 November 1911.¹ She married Ellsworth Merton Towle, son of Merton Daniel Towle and Luella M. Larson, on 13 September 1937 at Hennepin Co., Minnesota. Dorothy Gustava Johnson married James Frank Palma in 1959. Dorothy Gustava Johnson died on 2 September 2015 at age 103.¹ She was buried at Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery, Rice, Benton Co., Minnesota.¹

     Eberilla Johnson was born in 1805. She married Eden H. Davis, son of John Davis and Hester Harn, on 26 March 1835 at Shelby Co., Indiana.^1,2

Eleanor Louise Johnson Frizzell, 68 of Mt. Airy, MD, died Monday January 31, 2005 at Washington Hospital Center . She was the spouse of William H. Frizzell for over 45 years. She was born January 11, 1937 in Baltimore , MD the daughter of Ruth Johnson and the late Walter M. Johnson, Sr.

She had worked for Hutzler’s Department Store in Ellicott City and also for Mt. Airy Sewing Company for 30 years was a housekeeper for Mr. And Mrs. Richardson .

Mrs. Frizzell was a member of Lisbon Volunteer Fire Company ladies Auxiliary. She also enjoyed taking Bus Trips.

She is survived by Daughter and Son-in-law Terry and Kenneth Hamby of Rouzerville , PA , Daughter: Sherry and Albert Musgrove of Mt. Airy . Grandchildren: Edward Cason the 3rd of Mt. Airy and Melissa Caslow of Taneytown. Great Grandson :Brian Hunter Blackburn of Taneytown. Brother and Sister-in-law Walter and Gail Johnson of Mesa , AZ and Brother and Sister-in-law Milton (Butch) Johnson of Long Beach , CA. Sister: Oralie Mueller of Baltimore . Brother-in-law and sister-in-laws: Kenneth and Rosalee Frizzell of Westminster and Robert and Sue Frizzell of Mt. Airy . Predeceased by Brother John Johnson.

Funeral Services will take place on Friday February 5, 2005 10 Am at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREAMATORY, P.A., 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. with the Rev. Lisa Bandel-Sparks of Lisbon UMC in Lisbon . Interment will be in Prospect Cemetery , Mt. Airy , MD
