     Levi Griffin Hearne was born on 27 June 1816 at Burke's Garden, Tazewell Co., Virginia.¹ Levi Griffin Hearne was a Farmer. He was the son of James Hearne and Esther Griffin. Levi Griffin Hearne married Aura White on 25 August 1836. Levi Griffin Hearne died on 27 June 1890 at age 74.¹ Levi and Aura had three other daughters and one other son. Levi Griffin Hearne was a Methodist.

Levi Griffin, son of James and Esther (Griffin) Hearne, was born at Burke's Garden, Tazewell county, Virginia, June 27, 1816, and died June 27, 1890. He bought fifty acres of land; on this he lived, and he improved it. Afterward he bought adjoining lands until he owned a thousand acres of mountain land. He was a successful farmer. At the age of fourteen he had joined the Methodist church, and he was a consistent and active member all his life. In politics he was quite independent, voting for the one whom he deemed the better man, whether Democrat or Republican.
He married August 25, 1836, Aura White, who was born March 30, 1816, and died November 10, 1910. At the age of ninety-four her mental facilities were unimpaired, and she was able to read ordinary print up to the time of her death. She was a woman of noble Christian life. Phipps; Martha Ann, born November 27, 1854, married, February 8, 1877, Hiram Little; Henry Johnson, born August 15, 1861, married, February 7, 1884, Nannie B. Gore; three other daughters, one other son.

     Levi Lawson Hearne was born on 13 June 1848.¹ He was the son of Levi Griffin Hearne and Aura White. Levi Lawson Hearne married Rhoda L. Tiller on 2 September 1868.¹

     Lot Hearne was born circa 1790.¹ He was the son of Jonathan Hearne and Rhoda Parker.

     Lowder Hearne was born on 5 April 1753 at Laurel, Sussex Co., Delaware.³ He was the son of Ebenezer Hearne and Priscilla Fooks. Lowder Hearne married Lavinia Cannon. Lowder Hearne died on 29 November 1809 at Delaware at age 56.³ AFN 3ZW4-7M lists spouse as Lavinia Cannon (AFN CGJT-3X). E.B. Harn lists spouse as Priscilla. His Ancestral File Number is 3ZW4-7M. Lowder Hearne was a Episcopal.

     Minos Hearne was born on 21 December 1795 at Sussex Co., Delaware.² He married Malinda Chinn. Minos Hearne was the son of Clement Hearne and Kesiah Cannon. Minos Hearne married Ann Yancey. Minos Hearne died on 17 April 1837 at Nicholasville, Jessamine Co., Kentucky, at age 41.² He was buried at Nicholasville, Jessamine Co., Kentucky. His Ancestral File Number is 3ZVP-7V.

     Nehemiah Hearne was born circa 1724 at Maryland.³ He was the son of Thomas Hearne and Sarah Newbold. Nehemiah Hearne was a Saddler. He married Bettie (?) Nehemiah Hearne died circa March 1760 at Somerset Co., Maryland.^3,4,5 In above History of W. VA, states Nehemiah married a Bettie. His Ancestral File Number is 3ZW4-J6. He was buried at Hearne-Freeney Cemetery, Delmar, Wicomico Co., Maryland.⁵

     Nehemiah Hearne was born circa 1743 at Somerset Co., Maryland.¹ He was the son of George Hearne and female (?) Nehemiah Hearne married Jane (?) Nehemiah Hearne died on 2 October 1815 at Laurel, Sussex Co., Delaware.¹ Move to North Carolina with parents in 1762. Moved to Sussex Co., Delaware in 1783. Nehemiah Hearne was a Church of England.

     Purnell Hearne was the son of George Hearne and female (?) Purnell Hearne married female (?) Ancestral File Number TZLH-24. AFN TZLH-24 lists spouse as Eveline Shaver.
