Grace McPhie died on 11 March 2001 at Colton, San Bernardino Co., California, at age 79.¹ She was buried at Montecito Memorial Park, Colton, San Bernardino Co., California.¹

     Charlotte Lee Mead was born on 1 August 1922 at Des Moines, Polk Co., Iowa. She was the daughter of Stanley J. Mead and Freda Janet Beaver. Charlotte Lee Mead died on 5 October 1992 at Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co., California, at age 70.

     Stanley J. Mead was born on 11 June 1895 at New York, New York Co., New York.¹ He married Freda Janet Beaver, daughter of William A. Beaver and Maud W. (?), on 12 May 1920 at Ida Grove, Ida Co., Iowa. Stanley J. Mead died on 18 December 1980 at Kern Co., California, at age 85.¹ He was buried at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Sylmar, Los Angeles Co., California.¹

Stanley J. Mead served as a SGT in the US Army during World War I.

     William Mead was the son of Stanley J. Mead and Freda Janet Beaver.

     Steven Lee Meadows married Tammie Lynn Greenwood, daughter of Robert James Greenwood and Patsy Kay O'Boyle, on 3 March 1990 at Oakford, Howard Co., Indiana.

     Rudolfo Eugeno Medina was born on 3 December 1923 at Leadville, Lake Co., Colorado.¹ He married Maria Josephina Struck, daughter of Fidel Struck and Marina Salazar, in 1945. Rudolfo Eugeno Medina died on 1 June 1989 at Billings, Yellowstone Co., Montana, at age 65.¹ He was buried at Rock Springs Cemetery, Rock Springs, Sweetwater Co., Wyoming.¹ He began military service on 22 September 1942 at Santa Fe, Santa Fe Co., New Mexico. He began military service on 26 January 1946.

     Sarah Medina is the daughter of Theodoro F. Medina and Deborah Lee Struck.

     Ted Medina is the son of Theodoro F. Medina and Deborah Lee Struck.

     Dorothy Seykora Barrel Meek was born on 31 October 1917 at Steele Co., Minnesota. She married Paul Emil Bartel.¹ Dorothy Seykora Barrel Meek died on 20 May 2007 at Dodge Co., Minnesota, at age 89. She lived in August 2005 at Hayfield, Dodge Co., Minnesota.¹

     Louisa Meeker married Richard Sarle on 27 October 1857 at La Porte Co., Indiana. Louisa Meeker died on 5 June 1869.

     William G. Meese was born in 1881.¹ He married Emma Eleanore LaPierre, daughter of Gilbert Denis LaPierre and Eulalie Besson, on 31 December 1907.² William G. Meese died in 1937.¹ He was buried at Reyburn Cemetery, Peru, Miami Co., Indiana.¹

     Doreen Jean Mehl married Noel Randal Bucholz, son of Kenneth Harry Bucholz and Laverna Mae Bartlett, on 1 September 1979 at Lewis and Clark Co., Montana.

     Lawrence Leroy Meierle Sr. was born on 11 May 1914 at Iroquois Co., Illinois. He married Floradell Redman, daughter of Walter Redman and Bertha May Martin, on 13 July 1940 at Watseka, Iroquois Co., Illinois. Lawrence Leroy Meierle Sr. died on 30 December 1977 at Larimer Co., Colorado, at age 63.

     Mildred Elberta Melin was born on 31 August 1921 at Chico, Park Co., Montana.^1,2 She married William David Ball on 3 November 1938 at Parker, Fremont Co., Idaho. Mildred Elberta Melin and William David Ball were divorced on 12 June 1978 at Montana.¹ Mildred Elberta Melin married Eddie Walter Noel, son of Archie Cleveland Noel and Lillian Elizabeth Larson, on 20 December 1980 at Helena, Lewis and Clark Co., Montana.^1,3 Mildred Elberta Melin died on 15 May 1985 at Helena, Lewis and Clark Co., Montana, at age 63.² She was buried at Shorthill Cemetery, Park Co., Montana.²

Sarah Elvona Melton died on 19 March 1928 at St. Louis, St. Louis City, Missouri, at age 21.¹ She was buried at Grave is unmarked, Oak Hill Cemetery, Kirkwood, St. Louis Co., Missouri.¹ Death Certificate for Sarah Warfel in March 1928, lists her as Separated.

The cause of death was Chronic Pulmonary Tuberculosis.

     Jacub Mencik was born at Bohemia. He married Rosiny Shima. SOURCE: Kirk Z. Nestaval letter 24Feb1992. Jacub Mencik lived in 1809 at Bukovsko, Bohemia.

     Mary Mencik was also known as Maria. She was born on 24 March 1809 at Dolni Bukovsko No. 93, Ceské Budejovice, Bohemia.³ She was the daughter of Jacub Mencik and Rosiny Shima. Mary Mencik married Jacob Nestaval, son of Matej Nestaval and Anna Kaderavek, on 17 May 1836 at Horni Bukovsko, Ceské Budejovice, Bohemia. Mary Mencik died in 1890 at Montgomery, Le Sueur Co., Minnesota.

- Jakub and Marie Nestaval had another daughter, Barbora, who gave birth to 2 illegitimate children in 1853 and 1854, in Horni Bukovsko. She later married Matej Kubes. Her record of birth, however, cannot be found in the registers of the parsonage in Zalsi, for the village of Horni Bukovsko, for the period prior to 1836.

     The death records of Jakub and Marie Nestaval cannot be found in the records of the parsonage in Zalsi, up to year 1881. The priest made an obvious error when writing the above marriage record; he listed that the father of the groom was Frantisek Nestaval.


The translator said "there are some errors in the original text, by which I mean errors in the parsonage registers. For example, the name Frcal is also spelled as Frzal, Marianna is also spelled Mariana, Mensik is also spelled Mencik, Rozina is also spelled Rozyna, etc."


She immigrated on 1 July 1876 to New York, New York Co., New York,

The New York City Immigration Passenger Lists, show that on 01 Jul 1876, the vessel Rhein on it's voyage from Bremen Germany, had the following Nestaval family as passengers: Jacob at 73 years old and Maria at 67 years.

The Rhein was built by Caird & Co, Greenock in 1868 for Norddeutscher Lloyd (North German Lloyd). Her details were - 2,901 gross tons, length 332ft x beam 40ft, clipper stem, one funnel, two masts, iron construction, single screw and a speed of 13 knots. There was accommodation for 70-1st class passengers, 100-2nd class passengers and 600-3rd class passengers. Launched in August 1868, she sailed on her maiden voyage from Bremen to Southampton and New York on 3/10/1868. In 1878 her engines were compounded by the builders and on 16/10/1889 she left Bremen on her last voyage to Baltimore and New York.⁴

     Penelope Ann Mensing was born in 1939 at Illinois. She married Newton Ames Kennedy, son of Everett Kennedy and Elizabeth (?), in September 1958 at Volusia Co., Florida.
