Frank M. Kaisersatt, a native of Montgomery, Minn., was born January 27, 1880. Here he passed his boyhood, and acquired much of his education, completing this with a course in the Omaha Commercial College, of Omaha, Neb., in 1899. He then taught school in district No. 18 in Le Sueur county, for three years, during which time he also attended the Sherman high school at Montgomery, graduating from that institution with the class of 1904. In the year 1902 he accepted a position in a Rice county district, and was principal of the Willow Grove school in Wheatland township for two years. Acquitting himself with much credit, he was then offered the principalship of the Veseli school, which he filled with marked success for five years, and until his appointment as deputy county auditor, January, 1909, which position he now holds. In politics he is a follower of the Republican party and his influence in public affairs has always been for the good; especially in educational lines has he been very active. Mr. Kaisersatt has served as town clerk of the town of Wheatland, and as justice of the peace of the village of Veseli. He is a prominent in fraternal organizations, being a member of the Modern Brotherhood of America, the C.S.D.P.J. (Bohemian Workmen), the Z.C.K.J. (Bohemian Catholic Union).
He was married, July 6, 1905, at St. Paul, to Anna E. Nestaval, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Nestaval, of Montgomery. They have one child, Harriet Mae Kaisersatt, born October 31, 1906. The family residence is on Second street, West. They are members of the Roman Catholic Church. Thomas J. and Catherine (Havel) Kaisersatt, parents of our subject, were natives of Bohemia, emigrating to America in 1865, and settling near Montgomery, Minn., where they engaged in general diversified farming till the father's death, July 6, 1901. The mother passed away in 1884.

Frank M. Kaisersatt, who has been deputy county auditor for the last four years, was appointed auditor last week by the board of county commissioners, immediately after they accepted the resignation of James W. Trenda. Mr. Kaisersatt has born the burden of a great part of the work of the office for some time and his work earned him the unanimous vote of the commissioners. Mr. Kaisersatt was born in Montgomery, LeSueur county, January 27, 1880. He was educated in the common schools of Montgomery, and is a graduate of the Montgomery high school and of the Commercial college of Omaha. After leaving school, Mr. Kaisersatt taught school four years in LeSueur county, and seven years in Rice county, the last five of which he was the principal of the schools in Veseli. In January, 1909, he was appointed deputy county auditor, which position he held until he was chosen to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Mr. Trenda. His term will last about a year.

Funeral services for Frank Michael Kaisersatt of Faribault were held at the Lenmark Funeral Home at 2:30 June 23 with the Rev. Joseph McKee officiating. Internment took place at the Maple Lawn cemetery where a masonic service was held at the graveside. Pallbearers were: Eldon Prinzing, Frank Thayer, Irven Larson, J.V. Williams, Edward Hunt and Herman Hassler.
Frank Kaisersatt was born to Thomas and Katrina Havel Kaisersatt on January 12, 1880 on the family farm near Montgomery. He attended Montgomery High School and earned a teachers certificate in a school in Omaha, Neb. He lived and taught school in Veseli and District No. 18 of Montgomery. In 1905 he married Anna Nestaval who died 10 years later in 1915. In 1917 he married Elizabeth Nestaval in Minneapolis.
He was appointed deputy County Auditor of Rice County about 1909 and moved to Faribault where he has lived ever since. He has held the offices of County Auditor, and Deputy Registrar of Motor Vehicles for 25 years. Mrs. Kaisersatt worked with him in the office. Kaisersatt was a member of the Masons, the Odd Fellows Lodge, the Eagles and the Western Bohemian Fraternal Association.
He is survived by one daughter, Harriet Mae Kaisersatt; one sister, Alvina (Mrs. Harry Rudder) of San Diego, Calif. And one brother, Jake Kaisersatt of Montgomery. His wife and his parents preceded him in death. Relatives and friends attended the funeral from Montgomery, Northfield, St. Paul, and Minneapolis. Kaisersatt passed away suddenly June 21 at 10 o'clock at his home in Faribault at the age of 80 years.

     Harriet Mae Kaisersatt was born on 31 October 1906 at Veseli, Rice Co., Minnesota.³ She was the daughter of Frank Michael Kaisersatt and Anna Eleanor Nestaval. Harriet Mae Kaisersatt graduated in 1924 at Faribault High School, Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota. She lived in 1990 at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home, Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota. She died on 13 November 1998 at Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota, at age 92. Worked in Minneapolis in 1929. She was buried in November 1998 at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota, section M-5.⁴

     Jacob A. Kaisersatt was born on 22 July 1874 at Minnesota. He was the son of Thomas J. Kaisersatt and Katrina Havel. Jacob A. Kaisersatt was also known as Jake. He lived in June 1960 at Montgomery, Le Sueur Co., Minnesota. Frank living in Montgomery, MN when brother Frank died in 1960. He died on 8 October 1960 at Montgomery, Le Sueur Co., Minnesota, at age 86.¹ He was buried at Calvary Cemetery, Montgomery, Le Sueur Co., Minnesota.¹

     John H. Kaisersatt was born in March 1872 at Minnesota. He was the son of Thomas J. Kaisersatt and Katrina Havel.

     Thomas J. Kaisersatt was born in January 1834 at Bohemia.^1,2 Obituary of son Frank, listed his parents, Thomas and Katrina. Emigrated to America in 1865. He married Katrina Havel circa 1868. Thomas J. Kaisersatt was a Farmer. He died on 6 July 1901 at Montgomery, Le Sueur Co., Minnesota, at age 67.^1,2 He was buried at Saint Johns Catholic Cemetery, Montgomery, Le Sueur Co., Minnesota.²

     Brian V. Kalahar married Julie Stumpf, daughter of Jerome John Stumpf and Beverly Elaine Squires, on 5 May 1979 at Stearns Co., Minnesota.^1,2 Brian V. Kalahar and Julie Stumpf were divorced on 25 February 1988 at Stearns Co., Minnesota.³

     Annie Kalien was born on 14 September 1883 at Minnesota. She was the daughter of Herman Kalien Sr. and Wilhelmina Marcolas. Annie Kalien married Melvin Hirdler circa 1917.¹ Annie Kalien lived in June 1953 at Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota. Obit notice of Fred Kalien. She died on 15 August 1955 at Minnesota at age 71.¹

     Charles Kalien was born in May 1885 at Rice Co., Minnesota.² He was the son of Herman Kalien Sr. and Wilhelmina Marcolas. Charles Kalien lived in June 1953 at Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota. He died on 27 June 1966 at Rice Co., Minnesota, at age 81.² He was buried at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery, Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota.²

     Edward Kalien was born on 5 March 1890 at Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota.¹ He was the son of Herman Kalien Sr. and Wilhelmina Marcolas. Edward Kalien married Mary Susan Hunt on 16 November 1919 at Rice Co., Minnesota.¹ Obit notice of Fred Kalien. Edward Kalien died on 6 July 1956 at Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota, at age 66.^2,1 He was buried at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Hennepin Co., Minnesota.²

     Frank Fred Kalien was born on 3 January 1878. He was the son of Herman Kalien Sr. and Wilhelmina Marcolas. Frank Fred Kalien died on 28 May 1943 at age 65.

     Frederick Kalien was born on 5 May 1880 at Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota. He was the son of Herman Kalien Sr. and Wilhelmina Marcolas. Fred Kalien listed on WWI Draft Registration Card, born 05May1885 in Faribault, MN. Marriage Certificate M4-102 stated wedding occurred in Rice County, MN on 20Feb1942.¹ Frederick Kalien married Delta Ann Perkins, daughter of Marshall Timothy Perkins and Anna Rolfe Purdy, on 20 February 1942 at Mankato, Blue Earth Co., Minnesota.² Frederick Kalien lived in January 1944 at 227 Park Ave., Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota.      Herman Kalien Jr. was born on 25 October 1880 at Rice Co., Minnesota. He was the son of Herman Kalien Sr. and Wilhelmina Marcolas. Herman Kalien Jr. died on 27 May 1952 at Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota, at age 71. He was buried at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota.

     Herman Kalien Sr. was born on 24 November 1849 at Wolko Stargot, Germany.¹ He married Wilhelmina Marcolas circa 1874 at Wisconsin.¹ Fred KALIEN Obit notice.² Herman Kalien Sr. died on 19 December 1938 at Rice Co., Minnesota, at age 89.¹ He was buried at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota.³

     Ida Kalien was born on 1 January 1882 at Minnesota. She was the daughter of Herman Kalien Sr. and Wilhelmina Marcolas. Ida Kalien died on 30 September 1933 at age 51.

     Minnie Kalien was born on 20 August 1886 at Minnesota. She was the daughter of Herman Kalien Sr. and Wilhelmina Marcolas. Minnie Kalien married Cornelius Mahoney circa 1914.¹ Minnie Kalien lived in June 1953 at Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota. Obit notice of Fred Kalien. She died on 25 January 1978 at Rice Co., Minnesota, at age 91.¹

     William Frederick Kalien was born on 21 May 1879 at Minnesota. He was the son of Herman Kalien Sr. and Wilhelmina Marcolas. William Frederick Kalien married Lydia Krenske circa 1905.¹ Rice Co. Families, Their History, Our Heritage 1981, pg. 173. William Frederick Kalien died on 20 January 1957 at Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota, at age 77.¹

     Daniel Vincent Kalsuga was born on 22 December 1920 at New York.¹ He married Doris Jane Grimes, daughter of Clifford F. Grimes and Katherine Morgan, on 2 October 1948.² Daniel Vincent Kalsuga and Doris Jane Grimes were divorced. Daniel Vincent Kalsuga died on 27 March 1991 at New York at age 70.

     Audrey Devere Kanouse was born abt 1914-1915.² She was born on 14 January 1915 at Tower City, Barnes Co., North Dakota.³ She was the daughter of Fred H. Kanouse and Jessie May Soash.³ Audrey Devere Kanouse married Charles Albert Harn, son of Charles Wesley Harn and Katherine Belle Eveland, on 9 July 1930. Audrey Devere Kanouse and Charles Albert Harn were divorced. Audrey Devere Kanouse lived in 1995 at Canton, Fulton Co., Illinois. She died on 2 December 2002 at Peoria Journal Star, Peoria, Peoria Co., Illinois, at age 87.³

LEWISTOWN - Audrey D. Harn, 87, of Prairie View Care Center died there at 11:10 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, 2002.

She was born Jan. 14, 1915, in Tower City, N.D., to Fred H. and Jessie May Soash Kanouse. Surviving are two sons, Charles (and Bonnie) and Alan (and Elny), both of Canton; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one sister, Verna Overstake of Brighton, Colo. She was a licensed practical nurse at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria before retiring.
She was a member of the Methodist Medical Center Retirees Club and a former member of the Lewistown Senior Women's Club. She was a member of Lewistown United Methodist Church and a former member of its Mary & Martha class. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home, where visitation will be one hour before. The Rev. Terry Westerfield will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Barbara Kardon was a Housewife. She died on 23 April 1912 at Montgomery Twsp., Le Sueur Co., Minnesota, at age 65.^2,3 The cause of death was advanced age and carcinoma of the stomach.
