Baker died on 27 July 2010 at Rushville, Schuyler Co., Illinois, at age 81.^1,2 He was buried on 31 July 2010 at Palm Cemetery, Rushville, Schuyler Co., Illinois.²

RUSHVILLE, IL - Thomas E. "Tom" Baker, 81, of Rushville passed away at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

He was born on July 3, 1929, in Clayton, Ill., the son of the late Dolph and Marguerite (Roy) Baker. He married Doris Harn on Aug. 2, 1982, in Rushville, and she survives.

Also surviving are three stepsons, Marvin Hammack and wife Sue Ann of Bader, David Hammack and wife Juanita of Astoria and Raymond Hammack of Springfield, 12 step grandchildren, one step great grandchild and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother W. Roger Baker, stepson Timothy Hollis and a step granddaughter.

A US Army veteran of the Korean conflict, Tom was a saw operator at the Clayton Mark Foundry in Vermont for over 40 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Carroll Rankin Post #26 American Legion in Vermont. He enjoyed trading cars, always driving Fords.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 31, 2010, at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville. Interment will follow in the Palm Cemetery, west of Rushville, with military honors. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the Wood Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the Carroll Rankin Post 26, American Legion.³

     William David Ball was born on 23 November 1915 at Nora, Dickenson Co., Virginia.¹ He married Mildred Elberta Melin on 3 November 1938 at Parker, Fremont Co., Idaho. William David Ball and Mildred Elberta Melin were divorced on 12 June 1978 at Montana.² William David Ball died on 31 October 1985 at Kalispell, Flathead Co., Montana, at age 69.¹ He was buried at Forestvale Cemetery, Helena, Lewis and Clark Co., Montana.¹ He graduated in 1938 at Berea College, Kentucky.

     Lena Ballard was born on 23 July 1868 at Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania.¹ She married William E. Harn, son of Thornton Fleming Harn and Margaret Esther Molter, on 4 October 1892 at Beaver, Beaver Co., Pennsylvania. Lena Ballard died on 18 March 1925 at Bridgewater, Beaver Co., Pennsylvania, at age 56.¹ She was buried at Beaver Cemetery & Mausoleum, Beaver, Beaver Co., Pennsylvania.¹
