     William Lucas was born on 10 June 1888 at Springfield, Sangamon Co., Illinois.¹ He married Anna Victoria Pizzoli on 23 June 1923 at Sundance, Crook Co., Wyoming. William Lucas died on 9 December 1959 at Sweetwater Memorial Hospital, Rock Springs, Sweetwater Co., Wyoming, at age 71.¹ He was buried at Rock Springs Cemetery, Rock Springs, Sweetwater Co., Wyoming.¹ William Lucas was a Coal Miner.

     Alvah C. Luce II was born on 17 November 1946 at Brunswick, Cumberland Co., Maine. He married Penelope Prell, daughter of Carl Frederick Prell and Mercy Morse Longley, on 15 April 1967 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Brunswick, Cumberland Co., Maine.¹ Alvah C. Luce II and Penelope Prell were divorced in November 1971 at Santa Barbara Co., California. Alvah C. Luce II died in 2020 at Brunswick, Cumberland Co., Maine. He graduated in 1965 at Brunswick High School, Brunswick, Cumberland Co., Maine.

     Albert Joseph Lucero was born on 15 January 1915 at Walsenburg, Huerfano Co., Colorado.¹ He married Jane Theresa Varos, daughter of Joseph Melissendro Varos and Mary Struck, on 2 September 1946 at Rock Springs, Sweetwater Co., Wyoming. Albert Joseph Lucero died on 8 June 1991 at age 76.¹ He was buried at Mountain View Cemetery, Longmont, Boulder Co., Colorado.

     Joseph Albert Lucero was born on 10 August 1953 at Rock Springs, Sweetwater Co., Wyoming.¹ He was the son of Albert Joseph Lucero and Jane Theresa Varos. Joseph Albert Lucero married Caroline Mae Seltman on 12 March 1977 at Lafayette, Boulder Co., Colorado. Joseph Albert Lucero died on 29 October 2009 at age 56.¹ He was buried at Mountain View Cemetery, Longmont, Boulder Co., Colorado.¹

     Friedrich Luchau was also known as Fred. He was born on 22 November 1841 at Germany.¹ He married Augusta Amelia Behrend on 7 January 1867.² Friedrich Luchau died on 22 February 1891 at Norman Co., Minnesota, at age 49.¹ He was buried at German Methodist Cemetery, Lockhart Twsp., Norman Co., Minnesota.¹

     Gail Ann Luchau is the daughter of Richard Dewey Luchau and Dorothy Nadine Irvine.

     Harold Francis Luchau was born on 4 August 1903 at Foster, Big Stone Co., Minnesota.¹ He was the son of William Fredrick Luchau and Ethel Fanny Noel. Harold Francis Luchau married Beatrice V. Dewey on 20 September 1924 at Coeur d'Alene, Kootenai Co., Idaho. Harold Francis Luchau died on 13 January 1988 at Missoula, Missoula Co., Montana, at age 84.¹ He was cremated.¹ He lived in February 1931 at Polson, Lake Co., Montana.² Harold Francis Luchau was a Accountant in the Lumber business.¹ The cause of death was Chronic obstructive lung disease.¹

     Harvey Clinton Luchau was born on 24 July 1901 at Minnesota.¹ He was the son of William Fredrick Luchau and Ethel Fanny Noel. Harvey Clinton Luchau married Helen Myrtle Evanson in 1931. Harvey Clinton Luchau married Mary Viola Bray. Harvey Clinton Luchau died on 15 February 1973 at Flora, Carroll Co., Indiana, at age 71.¹ He was buried at Sunset Memory Garden, Kokomo, Howard Co., Indiana, F.¹ He lived in February 1931 at Polson, Lake Co., Montana.²

Harvey C. Luchau was a CCM in the US Navy during World War II.

     Jenna Rae Luchau is the daughter of Richard Joseph Luchau and Susan Kae Kelly.

     Richard Dewey Luchau also went by the name of Dick. He was born on 20 April 1926 at Polson, Lake Co., Montana.^1,2 He was the son of Harold Francis Luchau and Beatrice V. Dewey. Richard Dewey Luchau married Dorothy Nadine Irvine on 20 August 1949 at Pinal Co., Arizona. Richard Dewey Luchau died on 16 August 2013 at St. Ignatius, Lake Co., Montana, at age 87.^1,2 He was cremated. He was buried at Lakeview Cemetery, Polson, Lake Co., Montana.¹ He graduated in 1951 at University of Montana, Montana.² The cause of death was Alzheimer's Disease.²

Richard Dewey 'Dick' Luchau

RONAN - Richard Dewey "Dick" Luchau, 87, of Ronan, passed away Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, from complications of Alzheimer's.

Dick was born in Polson to Beatrice and Harold Luchau on April 20,1926. In his younger years, he attended
schools in Polson, Hot Springs and Columbus. In 1944, he joined the Air Force and served in World War II.
After his tour of service, he attended the University of Montana studying business and marketing. In August 1949, he married "Nadine" Luchau of Polson. Dick and Nadine lived in student housing at the university through 1951, when Dick received his degree.

Dick and Nadine then moved to Ronan, where Dick owned and operated many businesses, including Ronan Bowling Alley, Ronan Theater, Conoco Station and the Army Surplus Store (known as Ronan Sporting Goods). Dick added guns, fishing tackle and clothing, and the business transitioned into Ronan Sporting Goods. In 1970, Dick moved his business from Main Street to U.S. Highway 93 and took one step further with his son Rick and added on a large western clothing and boot department, which is now known throughout the state as Ronan Sports and Western. Dick, together with his son Rick and daughter Gail, worked and managed the store until the family sold the business in 2000 to Rob Shrider. The summer of 2013, his grandson Ricky, upon returning from his four-year service with the Army, was hired by Rob Shrider to work in the fishing department.

Dick's passions throughout his life were fishing, hunting waterfowl, and skeet and trap shooting. He was also a knowledgeable and avid gun collector. He was a member of the National Rifle Association for most of his lifetime and was a founder of Sports Inc., an elite buying group for the. sporting goods industry.

Mainly, my dad was most passionate about his role as husband and father. There are many fond memories of family vacations and spending lots of time on Flathead Lake, where he built a cabin on his great- grandfather's land. My brother and I, Rick, have the fondest memories of when we were living at home and were around our mother and father everyday.

Survivors include his daughter, Gail A. Luchau: granddaughter, Jenna R. Luchau; grandson, Richard T. Luchau; daughter-in-law, Susie Luchau/Decker; and numerous nieces and nephews; his beloved collie, "Zoe"; and
many friends that he loved and cherished.

His wife, Nadine Luchau; his son, Rick Luchau; his sister, Sandra; and his parents predecease him.

Memorial services will be held at the Mission Valley United Methodist Church, 70715 U.S. Highway 93 (south of Ronan), on Wednesday, Aug. 21, at 11 a.m. Lunch will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in his memory to the Pheasants Forever Foundation or the Alzheimer's Foundation.

Richard Joseph Luchau married Susan Kae Kelly on 11 October 1986 at Polson, Lake Co., Montana.² Richard Joseph Luchau died on 25 November 2010 at Ronan, Lake Co., Montana, at age 56.^1,2 He was cremated.^1,2 He graduated in 1972 at Ronan High School, Ronan, Lake Co., Montana.² The cause of death was Myocardial Infarction, Arteriosclerotic coronary artery disease.¹

Richard Joseph 'Rick' Luchau

RONAN - Richard Joseph "Rick" Luchau, 56, of Ronan, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010, due to natural causes.

Rick was born on May 18, 1954, to Dick and Nadine Luchau of Ronan. Growing up, he learned his love of hunting, fishing, and the outdoors from his dad. After Rick had his own son he spent much time doing the same things with him. "Ricky" became Rick's main hunting and fishing buddy and Rick cherished every moment they spent together in the outdoors.

Much of Rick's youth was spent at the family cabin on Flathead Lake, where he spent his time boating, water- skiing, fishing and initiating firework wars with the cousins. In later years, during the annual Fourth of July celebration, he was also known to start the neighbor's trees on fire, due to the excessive fireworks.

Rick attended Ronan High School, where he played football and participated in track, was a member of the ski club, and a member of the Big Mountain Ski Team in Whitefish. He graduated from high school in 1972.

From 1972 until 1974, he attended Montana State University, where he pledged with Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He returned to Ronan in 1974 to join the family business in building and managing Ronan Sports and Western, which he ran for 25 years. In conjunction with the sporting goods store, he also owned and operated an outfitting business in the Selway-Bitterroot wilderness for five years.

In 1986, he married the love of his life, Susie Kelly. Rick and Susie had two children, Jenna and Ricky, who were his entire world. He was known to say many times that becoming a father was the best thing he had ever done and nothing else could ever compare to it. In October of this year, Rick and Susie celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary.

In 2000, Rick opened the doors of Doubletree Homes and Development with his wife Susie, and they began building homes.

He will be greatly missed throughout the community and will always be remembered for his large smile, warm heart and high spirits.

Rick is predeceased by his mother, Nadine Luchau; and survived by his wife, Susie Luchau; his children, Jenna and Ricky Luchau; his father, Richard "Dick" Luchau; his sister Gail Ann Luchau; aunts, numerous cousins and endless friends.

Cremation has taken place and services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, at Christian Missionary Alliance, Terrace Lake Road, Ronan.

Memorial contributions may be made in Rick's name to Glacier Bank, Polson. Shrider-Thompson Funeral and Cremation Services of Ronan is assisting with arrangements.

Treichel were divorced on 9 November 1965 at Missoula, Missoula Co., Montana, Grounds listed were Mental Cruelty. Sandra Grace Luchau married Bernard Nick Hoeg on 10 July 1966 at Shoshone Co., Idaho. Sandra Grace Luchau died on 15 May 1991 at Fort Lauderdale, Broward Co., Florida, at age 57.

     William Fredrick Luchau was born on 25 November 1867 at Minnesota.¹ He was the son of Friedrich Luchau and Augusta Amelia Behrend. William Fredrick Luchau married Ethel Fanny Noel, daughter of Eli Homer Noel and Flora Ellen Perkins, on 22 November 1895 at Fosston, Polk Co., Minnesota.² William Fredrick Luchau died on 25 December 1936 at Polson, Lake Co., Montana, at age 69.¹ He was buried at 1a-22-9, Lakeview Cemetery, Polson, Lake Co., Montana.¹

     William George Luchau was born on 4 April 1932 at Plains, Sanders Co., Montana.¹ He was the son of Harvey Clinton Luchau and Helen Myrtle Evanson. William George Luchau married Donna Joan Stanley in 1962. William George Luchau died on 23 September 1992 at Moriarity, Torrance Co., New Mexico, at age 60.¹ He was buried at Mountain View Cemetery, Moriarity, Torrance Co., New Mexico.¹

     Marie Ludbrook was born on 1 April 1896 at Central Lake, Antrim Co., Michigan.¹ She married Herbert Wilson Purdy, son of Charles Adam Burnett Purdy and Susanne P. Stewart, in 1916 at Antrim Co., Michigan. Marie Ludbrook died on 17 August 1963 at Central Lake, Antrim Co., Michigan, at age 67.¹ She was buried at Southern Cemetery, Central Lake, Antrim Co., Michigan.¹

     Sarah Ludlow married Albert Hoogland, son of Elbert Hoogland and Catalina Bennet, on 5 July 1770.

     Alice A. Ludlum was born in 1872.² She married Harry B. Kishler, son of Dr. Washington Goodwin Kishler and Louisa M. Harn.¹ Alice A. Ludlum died in 1962.² She was buried at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys, Auglaize Co., Ohio.² She lived in 1919 at St. Marys, Auglaize Co., Ohio.¹

     Emily Lueckert is the daughter of Steve Lueckert and Judith Diane Samuelson.

     Steve Lueckert married Judith Diane Samuelson, daughter of LeRoy Samuelson and Dolores May Redman. Steve Lueckert and Judith Diane Samuelson were divorced.

     Clinton S. Lugenbeel was born on 9 March 1856 at Maryland. He was the son of John Henry Lugenbeel and Elizabeth Corella Harn. Clinton S. Lugenbeel married Jessie May English in 1898. Clinton S. Lugenbeel died on 10 November 1913 at Lansing, Ingham Co., Michigan, at age 57. He was buried at Forest Park Cemetery, Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Arkansas.² In 1902 Clinton S. Lugenbeel was a president, at Fort Smith Commercial College, Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Arkansas.³

     Emma H. Lugenbeel was born circa 1858 at Maryland info from 1870 Maryland Census. She was the daughter of John Henry Lugenbeel and Elizabeth Corella Harn. Emma H. Lugenbeel died on 29 January 1899 at Baltimore City, Maryland.^1,2,3 She was buried at Linganore Cemetery, Unionville, Frederick Co., Maryland.³

Mrs. Elizabeth C. Lugenbeel, who died Saturday morning at the home of her niece, Mrs. Jason Hood, 2327 Barclay street, was born in Unionville, Frederick county, Maryland, and was 70 years old. Her husband was the late John Henry Lugenbeel, of Frederick county.
Mrs. Lugenbeel moved to Baltimore 10 years ago with her daughter Emma, who died three years ago. Since that time she had been making her home with her niece.
She leaves two sons. They are Prof. W. E. Lugenbeel, president of Austin College, Effingham, Ill., and Prof. C. S. Lugenbeel, president of the Fort Smith Commercial College, Fort Smith, Ark.
